I wouldn't raise the price for lawyers because then you'll get 0 customers, they will all complain that the price is too high and not use the services (that's why you weren't getting as much money as you expected for the day 92). What you could do instead is close the law firm on Saturday as well as Sunday, or leave only one or two lawyers scheduled, since the weekend isn't so popular. Then you won't get such a big number in expenses. Thanks for a great episode!)

I wish Big B would explore the city a tad more when he's got a day off. Let's see what's along the docks please, and there seems to be a lovely church not far from the park...

We could have a wander about but I'm not sure there's much we can interact with. I think that the RPG aspect of this game needs a bit of work in that regard.

You can change color on the furniture aswel. Go into the customization tab (where you do the walls and floor) and right click on the item you want to customize.

Loooving this series! I know the nitty gritty bits with the finicky other bits can be troublesome but you've been doing really well with it, Penge~ *Really* excited to see how this new business does once you have it up and running! Bernard's business rival is sure to get in a snit about it, but Bernard's greatness and goals cannot and should not be contained! lol Keep on Keeping On, Penge, and thank you so much for doing what you do~

Ok, you very nearly got it this time. Per my previous comment, you want to set the Logistics Manager to maintain double the capacity of your racks. Each clothing rack holds 50 items and you have two racks per clothing type. That means you need 100 of each clothing type just to keep the racks full (the inventory number includes what's on the rack), tell your LM to maintain double that amount (200 units of each type) at the store. The same approach applies to the flower shop, except that the shelves hold different amounts of product. Specifically, each rounded shelf holds 25 Exp flowers, 40 Chp flowers, or 200 gifts; you are also using some product panels which can each hold 100 Chp gifts. With your current Florist layout, the LM should maintain a stock of 100 Exp flowers, 160 Chp flowers, and 800 each of Exp and Chp gifts. As for the Purchasing Agent, the values you put in were correct as described, but given that some of your sales are pretty low right now and will increase as your staff improves, you might want to bump up those values by 100 or more. Really, as someone else already mentioned, there's no harm in just setting the values for the Purchasing Agent to 1000. You don't need that much, but it'll guarantee you don't have to think about purchasing again for quite some time. Employees have no effect on shelves getting restocked. Every shelf is topped off at 2am, after that each shelf will refil when it becomes empty. You'll want to stay away from the jewelry store for now as its incredibly expensive. If memory serves, each jewelry shelf is around 17k and the initial stock order was over 200k. Finally, loans are bad... in personal finance. In business finance they're just part of doing business and there is almost never a good reason to repay them ahead of schedule. For instance, you saved $350 a day by paying back the loan, but that money was enough to set up at least one, and possibly two businesses. That would have brought in 5-10k per day. The $350 is trivial by comparison and an example of why most businesses have debt. It is almost always better to use the debt to finance your expansion than it is to reduce your interest payment. Granted there's a limit to how much debt a company should maintain, but it is well above what you had or were likely to ever get. Anyway, still enjoying the playthrough, I do love a bit of admin, hope this all helps.

You can save your own store designs (the "Blueprints" option in the escape menu) to use at the interior decorator if you don't want to use a pre-built design. The only caveat is that the size needs to match, e.g. C2 designs can only be applied to C2 stores. Nice if you want to open a chain of stores with the same layout.

The interior decorator saves a TON of work. Just imagine a large shop, let's say a Jewelry Store for example, that can serve 75 people per hour. To make full use of that, you'd need to order around 60 furniture items from the store. That's not including decorative items, btw. But the game only allows you to order a maximum of 54 items at a time. Worse, even if you order from 2 or more stores, you're only allowed to have a maximum of 54 items piled in front of any building. So now you have to order 2 or more deliveries coming at different times, and hope to get enough items from the first delivery packed away before the second arrives. Even if you have the 8 item trolley from "definately not IKEA", that's going to be a lot of back and forth, but it's twice that if you have tre 4 item trolley. If you're setting up an office for 50 people, you could need hundreds of items of furniture. Just one table, chair and computer each comes to 150 items all by itself.
With the Interior Designer, everything gets done at once. All the furniture arrives, no matter how many items that is, and all the walls and floors are done too. What's more, there are plenty of blueprints which have already had the security worked out, so you only have to hire guards (sometimes). You might need to check the checkout queues, but you won't need to fuss around moving things into your store/office.
It's worth all the effort though. The second store I opened (a Jewelery store in Midtown that can serve 75 people per hour) is earning over 100,000 per day (over $1M Gross Profit per 7 days). I had to take a massive $800,000 loan from Vantander Bank to afford it, but the profits paid that back in just a few weeks. My 50 Lawyer office only makes about 90k per day, for comparison.

The boxes are Mary Poppin's boxes. It's magic. You might experiment with the interior designers when you open your next retail business, see if you like what they do. Right now, you kind of have the clothes store the way you like it.

Look at the potential profits of a store vs the rent and you'll find the rents are crazy cheap at the moment (the devs say they will change that). My big Jewelry Store in Midtown costs a bit over $1,000 per day. It's daily profit is over 100 times that. I will gladly spend $1K to make over $100K. And that's profit, so salaries, rent and $6.5K marketing is already factored into that as expenses. To make the really big money in this game, you need to find a location with a good Traffic Index, but also high Customer Capacity. In my current game, I'm focusing on bigger stores (30+ customer capacity) and I'm making over $3M per week from 13 stores. Two of which I'm still in the process of opening. And I'm only on Day 80.

And now, go look for 8 more lawyers and setup a evening shift. The max 8 just means 8 at a time.
