www.twitch.tv/drewfortune1
After listening to this 5 times now include The Grey and War of Being this is the best out of the three for me
Steph 🇮🇪
This is one of the best vocal performances I've heard from any band ever. 10/10
💯
Had so much fun with the boys making this video. Dan is in top form for this track! seriously outdone himself.
I Would love to have a chat at some point as I directed a few videos for Tesseract and for Sleep token. Let me know if that would be something you would be interested in?
What's the story behind the video? Where's the spaceman travelling to? Where does he land?
He lands in the strangeland. The whole album is a concept album and this video actually ends at the start of the albums story.@@nomaanalwi9495
@@nomaanalwi9495 It's part of the story for the game they are developing (you can play the demo "War of being" on Steam). The man is Ex, a character, who crashes with the transport in the beginning of the game. There is a long story behind this.
I spoke with Dan recently about this song and told him I sobbed when I first heard this. He told me he sobbed while recording it and that the entire band knew this was going to be special. I think they were right. 😁 Keep up the great work, Drew! 🤘🏽
I, too, cried.
The vocals are massively powerful.
I'm not crying 😭 I'm not fucking crying 😭
Dan's vocal acrobatics in this track broke my brain
" I lost the Battle on boh sides!" I don't know why but I fucking loved this line. The delivery is what makes it epic.
To this day my favorite. So much fucking passion
I'm totally with you. In every single word you just said. Organic and almost improvised sounding vocals, like REAL STUFF. Lovely song structure. A lot to take in on first listen, but now the song makes me cry EVERY time. From the pure, raw emotion, the anxiety and fear in his voice, the explosion of feelings towards the end when it all crashes and he loses control. Blown away. My favourite single of the three released so far.
Arguably Dans best vocal performance which is saying a lot considering everything he’s done.
The 3 singles already along with the live clips of Natural Disaster, this is honestly looking like album of the year
I cannot wait for Natural Disaster. It sounds good even from live recordings on a potato phone.
I always considered his performance in Guiding Lights by Skyharbor to be his best, but this album might top everything wow
@@MJ-vd8bj Yeah same. The 2nd half of this song reminded me of Guiding Lights as well
S tier song across the board. I'm not sure I'm ready for how epic this album will be
the callback to Mirror Image is such a nice touch.
Dude yes. I was already at a high by that point in the song, but that reference broke my actual spine.
By far Dan's best vocal performance. Absolutely insane...
I'd say War of Being is a close second. Not as crazy high notes but insanely powerful mixed voice and growls.
You need to listen to Guiding Lights by Skyharbor if you haven't. He does some incredible stuff in that song
Vocals aren't usually the thing that pulls me in and holds me, but it does here. Dan's vocals are exceptional, frisson inducing even.
"I dont wanna cry, Im not gonna do it" Trust me dude I said the same words but the feels were stronger, this song hits in a WHOLE different way that any Tesseract song. Btw Awesome reaction lml
How can anyone NOT get goosebumps from this track? My god
This song is so… saucy? The groove is so addictive and got you head bobbing as soon as it starts. Dan’s vocals are also incredible and insanely good with the falsetto touches here and there. So excited for the album tomorrow! 🙌
This is Layne Staley level of vulnerability. Prog metal somewhere lost that. Dan has truly explored something new for the genre. Absolutely stunning!
Listed to whole album and boy do they all convey so much emotion on this one! It's awesome when a band can make feel the emotional journey they try to convey! 😊
@@cynaptyc Agreed!
More of a Jeff Buckley vibe but I see what you mean.
Full chills. ❤ I get choked up at that point you said you didn't want to cry. Beautiful!
I had some kind of bro moment with ya cause right when you showed that you got shivers to the camera i did the same thing and i just laughted, man that song is so great
This albums going to be a masterpiece, from what we have heard it sounds like everything they have done before has built to this. Great reaction as always mate!
This song almost brought me to tears, it is so fucking perfect.
The first 2+ minutes of progression and build up are some of the best I have heard, ever. Well the whole song is amazing. But those 2 minutes.... perfection
I hopped on a VPN to listen to the album this morning (live in New Zealand) and my guy .. This album is insane. Insane. Looking forward to seeing your reaction.
I’m so happy this album isn’t disappointing me after all this time. I’m loving it so far 🔥
Tesseract, fell silent, vildhjarta, monuments, uneven structure some of the best bands that I've ever stumbled upon so many, many years ago!!!!
LETS FUCKIN GOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Dude I’ve been so unbelievably excited for this FREAKING ALBUM! And beyond excited to see your reaction my dude hell YES!
I agree this is CLASSY!
I gravitate to vocalist and he is next level. Listening to Dan evolve over the years has been epic.
This track is unreal ❤❤
BURDEN is all about the bass
My favorite vocal work from dan is his feature on haji's kitchen album 2012. Its one of his youngest works, but it showed his promise to rise in the industry.
That vocal performance is off the charts
Never really got into this band but now I am sold!
So so damn good Im glad I’m not the only one that got emotional at the end! Haha
Masterpiece. What a vocal performance! Great video. Heavy chills
can't wait to see them live in october i'm so excited for this!
Loved the song!
STOOOOKEEEEDDD for the new album! Thanks for sharing your reaction.
Amazing vocal work by Dan in this track. Definitely the MVP here.
Yup…this is the year of Dan Tompkins
I was waiting for this! thx dude!
Fuckin incredible song....just a well thought out track....and Dan...just wow
Awesome track. Loving the new stuff…..
Burden is another excellent track
Bethesda should have partnered with Tesseract for this music video from Starfiled instead of imagine dragons.
I love how every reactor has just unanimously decided that it's impossible to interrupt once Dan starts screaming halfway through. There's simply no spot you can stop in that end section without feeling like you're disrupted something profound. 😂
So I've listened to the album 60+ times now, and it's STILL not getting stale for me. It's a perfect album. They don't come along very often and some bands never get one, but this is 60 minutes of just pure banger, zero filler.
Yeah.. the only 3 albums recently that have come along the last few years I can listen to over and over is this album, Sleep Tokens Take me Back to Eden, and Kingdom of Giants Passanger.
Very rare quality on this album, no bad songs.
goosebumbs. yes yes yes!!!
The vocals sound kinda Jeff Buckley at points. Anyone else hear that?especially around 4:50
Best album of all time
Incredible
im a little biased but ever since they dropped WoB i knew this album was gonna be my aoty, fatalism is 2nd
Tesseract are honestly phenomenal. I don't have any other words to describe them.
Dare I say it - they're better Tool.
Hair raising song. and catchy as feck
9 months later. Still a 9.5+
The one word subtitles flashing on the screen is a bit much. This isn't tiktok bro
New album was kind of a letdown honestly. It’s clearly much better than Sonder, but doesn’t have the same magic and plethora of memorable hooks those first 3 albums had. But from a musicality standpoint it’s probably their most complex I’ll give it that.
Don't agree. This albums have so god damn many hooks! They certainly didn't forget the melody in their music. Just fantastic.
Dan definitely seems like he has unstoppable work ethic and a colossal sense of aesthetic...which is probably a minimum requirement to exist in a high level outfit like Tesseract. Very inspirational to see anyone always trying to be better than the guy they were yesterday❤
