Needs whitewall tires.
You're absolutely right it completes the car for the era at that time black wall tires were for poor folk lol...
@@thomasprestridge6152BLACK WALLS WERE ALSO FOR FOLK'S TO LAZY TO KEEP WHITE WALL'S CLEAN
one of the few cars to look good with both white and blackwalls
Whomever did the interior especially the leather seats did a tremendous job. I wonder how much that cost ? 5 grand probably
My friend Laurie had the exact same lincoln burgundy on burgundy..she'd drive me to school in 81 I thought I was a Carrington one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen then and now . What a stunning car you all have
I once was fortunate enough to own a 78 Town Coupe. The greatest OTT excessive luxury American 🇺🇸 LAND YACHT. Never should have let it get away. Currently have beautiful low mileage 2007 Town Car Signature Limited which will NOT get away. Last generation of REAL Luxury vehicles. Sad to see what is now considered a luxury vehicle. Glorified TRUCKS!
The last of the big ones
Add it to my Lottery Win garage
This is cool, but I'll take original any day. What he did to the dashboard is hideous (would cost a lot to change back) and too much of this stuff is completely useless. IMO, he paid big bucks to devalue his car.
I agree with you. I collect antique cars, and have a 1978 Town Coupe, class 1A. I am just not a fan of altering them in any way, not even the radios. Restomods obviously are a different situation…but I don’t have any of those…and that’s not what this car is.
I got my drivers licence at 16 in a 77 4 door Town Car. I only mentioned this because I laughed so hard when I saw the cameras were added to back up and for curb view. My younger sister got her D/L with the same car... She's 5'1'. Nice car , Needs 1/4 walls though.
Got mine in a '76 Eldorado.
I took mine in a '73 Coupe de Ville. Parallel parking portion of the test was pointless.
AGREED , WHITE WALL'S ARE A MUST. WE OWN A 1979 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL TOWN CAR SEDAN BROUGHAM DE ELEGANCE SIGNATURE SERIES' AUTOMOBILE. CHAMPAGNE BODY, MAHOGANY LANDAU LEATHER TOP , DARK BROWN PLUSH VELOUR PILLOW SEAT INTERIOR. AND...... WHITE WALL'S ❤️🙏🙏🙏
You Gotta keep those cars original
YOU ARE SO CORRECT, KEEP IT ORIGINAL
Removed the hood insulation?
Give that hood paint a year or two. Between the sun and the engine temp. It will crack and peel in no time. It's there for a reason 🙄
Brown? Looks burgundy to me.
Looks like a smooth chocolate moose cake👍😎
Way too much going on.
I want it❤💪👍😎
This car is a lovely, rare. retrospect I thought twice before I was to comment. But this car is molested. Lots of people will like it but not adore it if that makes sense....
put safety belts on, when driving. It's mandatory.
While I don't care for restomods, this build was done nicely done by keeping the originality on the outside. The cameras, gages, aux crap and labels are total overkill, IMO. FYI, trunk carpet should've been same color as the interior, so I'd ask abt that...
Factory carpet in the trunk was gray but the spare tire cover was redone. It also appears that the front seats have been redone (well done I would add).
The centre screen looks fine, but those two inside mirrors look like Dollar Store items, and upset the dashboard look. Gotta ditch them, otherwise, WHAT LOVELY LUX !!
Wow that’s all I can say unbelievable
AC blows ice cold?😉
I would take it
Wow, just WOW, A MODERNISED 70'S LUXURY YACHT !!
Beaaauuutiful
you need to replace the door strikers they are missing the nylon sleeve that is why the doors are sagging a tat
If they are sagging, it's due to the weight of the doors and the age of the car, not the strikers. The SOUND of the doors closing is def the strikers tho.
how much?
It will be headed to auction and a link will be updated on our site when it goes live :-)
