    Great video Dave, really good info on using the SY200 with a digital setup.

    Thank you for all of your SY-200 content, it's been more helpful than other sources of information which will remain nameless! I'm building a pedalboard for my FM3 and want to put the SY-200 on the board with it. Which pedalboard power supply are you using to power the SY-200?

      Thanks man! Glad you e found them helpful.
      I use a Cioks DC-7. It’s been great and is flexible as it has multiple power options.

    Hi Dave, thank you for the great video. It’s helping me to set up my Boss GX100 and a SY200 that I purchased last week. I understand the DIV/MIX setup but I’m not sure how to connect guitar - GX100 - SY200. In the video I can see you are using the SY200 IN OUT SEND & RETURN. Where are they all connected to? I hope you can help me to connect both devices in the right way. Thanks.

      I figured it out - on the SY200 loop you have extra FX

    hey Dave! Love your videos! They really help a lot.
    I have a Valeton GP200 LT, and i'm strugling to find the place of my sy200 on the signal chain.
    GP 200 LT doesn't have two channels like the gt1000 Core.
    What would be your approach in my case?
    Thank you very much! You rock!

      Hey mate. Thanks, glad to know the vids helping.
      I don’t know that unit, but it looks like the GP200 LT has an effects loop. I’d try it there, have the direct signal pass through and the blend the synth back in.
      I’m assuming that you can move the position of the send/return?
      For each preset it comes down to where you want the SY200 to sit in relation to other effects. Try it before, after, different blends etc.

    Hi Dave ! Can you explain why you use the send/return of the SY-200 ? The effects are applied to the dry signal and mixed with the synth or the effects are applied to the synth signal ?

    • @DaveWebbMusic
      @DaveWebbMusic  Год назад +1

      Hey mate. Using the Send/Return of the SY-200 allows you to have the effects on either your guitar signal, or your synth signal.
      For example, you could apply distortion to only the guitar, or only the synth. It’s a pretty cool way to get some unique sounds and blend them together. 🤘🏼

    Cool video!!
    How do you make all those switching live? Do you have a computer with you?

      I have a Morningstar MC8 midi controller with all of my presets programmed in, so they’re just one press.
      But my original band does play to a click and I have all the patch changes automated.

    Thanks so much for this exposé! How about in the snd/return loop of the NUX MG-30? Would that work?

    • @DaveWebbMusic

      Should work. I haven’t used a NUX MG-30, but it should work with all devices.

      Only got my sy-200 yesterday but this is what I've found... The CTRL switches (onboard or external) are assignable and HOLD is just one of the options. Some of the presets have HOLD set for the CTRL1 switch - the ones that play sequences or arpeggios use that button for TEMPO TAP. If you want to hold arpeggios and sequences, you can assign HOLD in the menus or add that function to an external footswitch. (And the footswitches can have multiple functions - selected by a long-press). Its a crying shame this has no software editor - there's a lot of options and that's even without editing the "sounds" themselves. The hardest thing I've found so far is working out where to place it in relation to a Pod Go multiFX pedal - so many variable on both devices is "challenging". Definitely worth the effort though - it's a load of fun.
      PS - big THANK YOU to Dave Webb Music for these videos - very helpful and much appreciated.

    Stick it in one side of a mix and turn off the amp using alternate switching.

    Now I’m running gt1000 with both the send return run into sy1000 (input into this and then the effect loop send to gt1000 input)
    Then run into my Laney lfr212
    And now I’m planning to incorporating gm800 with them
    ……maybe I need a Roland kc now 😂

    why dont you just use the delay cho of the gt and place after the sy in the chain? why put it in the sy loop

    • @DaveWebbMusic
      @DaveWebbMusic  Год назад

      Short answer is, I like pedals.
      I also wanted to show multiple ways to use it. For example, for those who use a real amp, then the SY200 loop is a very useful feature.
