    I was doing my neighbors 2007 Honda odyssey brake job at the front in California the car was from out of state with over 220k miles the screws were welded 3 out of 4 so I drilled the the disk rotors screws when you take them off make sure you throw them away it doesn't need it lol😅😂

    • @Amen.22
      @Amen.22 Год назад +2

      Yes, you’re correct. Those screws are to hold the rotor on while the vehicle is being assembled at the factory. They’re not needed after they leave the factory.

  • @PatricksDIY

    • @omgitsrickatier
      @omgitsrickatier 10 месяцев назад

      Because they are literally useless on studded hubs. He just saved the next mechanic a ton of hassle. Most Hondas have them probably for assembly purposes in the factory. I did myself a favor and threw them away on my crv when I changed the rotors last.

      I think the torquing lug nuts thing started because of quick lube type places leaving lug nuts loose and wheels falling off while driving, resulting in lawsuits. Torquing lug nuts was probably the result of lawyers getting involved. I’m 69 and I’ve never torqued lug nuts, and I’ve never heard of anyone else doing it either. Now I guess you have to torque everything, even though I don’t think it’s necessary.
