Anything with Beverlee McKinsey as IRIS!!!!! I wish I wish there were more episodes of Robin Strasser as Rachel and early Victoria Wyndham as Rachel. What I wouldn't give to see Strasser's final air as Rachel and the Victoria's first!
Her name was Margaret impert she also briefly did guiding light. She also played a character named. Marsha. In the classic horror werewolf film the howling as you guessed it so that means technically Rachel Cory is a werewolf. It might be a different actress but it's still Rachel. So yep apparently Rachel Cory grew some hair and some fangs LOL
Margie Impert took over after Robin Strasser left and I don’t think she even lasted three months. The powers that be convinced Strasser to return for a few more months until they hired another replacement (Wyndham).
Classic Iris just rubbing salt into the wound! Eddie, thank you for reuploading this "Another World" scene! Hopefully, one day someone will be able to upload this entire 90-minute episode.
Anne Meacham, the theatrical actress who played Louise, was so brilliant. She was in numerous plays by Tennessee Williams, including the original production of Suddenly Last Summer. They were good friends -- although there's a horrifying story from the late-sixties when Tennessee, deeply paranoid and out of his mind from constant drug use, actually accused Anne of stealing his pills and syringes!
I loved both brooks and Louise AW .should have made them into a couple and not just servants wish they had stuck around and hung out with Vivian another world was one of the best written shows besides guiding light and as the world turns
IMO Carmen did a fabulous job. I wasn't old enough to know BM in the role, so Carmen was "my Iris" and I still remember the heartbreaking scenes of her being disowned by Mac and then Rachel coming to inform her of his passing.... and never will there be an opportunity for her to repair the damage she caused. OMG it was so wonderful. I've watched many clips of BM. I always seemed to miss her. I was hooked on Santa Barbara during her Guiding Light run as Alexandra, and when SB was canceled and I became a GL fan ... Marj Dusay was my Alexandra...even though, once again, ppl raved about this woman, BM! All 3 exceptional actresses in the roles they played. I miss them all and both AW and GL.... And of course SB (where I first saw Marj as Pamela Conrad Capwell. Good times!
When she was Iris's maid, someone said something Iris didn't like so she pulled 2 leaves off the fern and Louise screamed and saved the plant and we laughed at Iris's childishness, but THIS isn't funny at all. Something to do with the scissors, her cruelty to Louise, the hardened face ugly with bitterness where before it was softer; she'd changed alot.
Beverlee McKinsey was a lot of fun, but I found her a little hammy (yeah, I know it’s heresy among soap fans). Victoria Wyndham was marvelous. She gave controlled, nuanced performances day in and day out.
Iris vs Rachel was always gold.
Oh my gosh! It's Beverlee on Another World!! I'm so happy!!!

@José Elias Margie Impert I think her name was.

@@jaredjlinden there has to be or someone has to have more of Strasser in the role

Iris murdering parts of Louise’s plant so gleefully was classic Iris
@José Elias and messing up the mail on the desk cause she’s board and she found nothing interesting. LOL
Dang... I'd love to see the full scenes from the ending commercials... Particularly, the Mac & Rachel fight scene... Those are solid gold!
"One never knows with you, Iris." Wow 👌 "Rachel, women who marry handsome, wealthy men have to expect other women to go after him just as she did." 😉

How crazy and funny
I loved this show!! ♥️
AW really went down hill in 1979 when it switched to a 90-minute format. The saving grace was Beverlee McKinsey as Iris.
She was the best Iris.
Love it!!! Thank you!!
The writing on Another World was fantastic. The show really went downhill by the early 80s.
I know what it's like to go downhill that's why I can relate to this great great fantastic show
Daytime royalty
Rachel was the Queen , and Ada was the Queen mother.
Carmen Duncan was a viable Iris, but she wasn’t able to make the subtle nuances and jabs like BM.

No she could not !! Rest her soul..!!
This the only Iris I ever loved !!
People looked so much older back then...iris was 43!!
When she was Iris's maid, someone said something Iris didn't like so she pulled 2 leaves off the fern and Louise screamed and saved the plant and we laughed at Iris's childishness, but THIS isn't funny at all. I like when she got that gravely smokers voice on guiding light
WOW!
I just came across this, when I was a kid my folks used to cus Iris then turn their backs to the tv until "That Bitch" was gone...LOL!
Beverlee McKinsey was a lot of fun, but I found her a little hammy (yeah, I know it’s heresy among soap fans). Victoria Wyndham was marvelous. She gave controlled, nuanced performances day in and day out.
Iris: You really shouldn't dismiss those who are on your side, Rachel
Rachel: My side? Heaven help me and what. 🤣
More Iris
Wait unit Paulina comes !! 😅😅
That was a unnecessary addition
Did Rachel ever slap Iris? 😅. She should have.
Louise Goddard was the best
Iris needs a new hairdo. That helmet is awful.
