Who was working for frame construction. And I still not buying iris and micheal ever bieng involved or that so called flashback at all. Or even Bieng able to picture bev McKinseys iris even playing that. I know iris on Texas really loved Alex wheeler and iris broke up Denis's and Paige Marshall's marriage and then Dennis left town on Texas then bev McKinsey left Texas can't remember if Alex wheeler was dead or not yet. But I am not buying at all that dialog of iris losing Mac because iris and Mac were on good terms when bev McKinsey was on Texas playing iris and Doug Watson would occasionally make appearances as Mac on Texas. And also know that on Texas Elliot carrington was thought dead but revealed to be alive and went crazy from ptsd. And of course the reveal that Alex wheeler was Denis's dad and him having a hard time accepting it. Again fans don't forget history.

@@NadineHutchinson-f5e have you watched yet from September of 1988 to all of October and up to mid November that's harding Lemays stuff before he was crossed and quit I think you are seeing why he got pissed and did not want to work at all with Donna swajeski and history shows harding was right. Look at the impressions you are getting of the charecters already and again it's hard and must be jaring for you to get introduced to another world back in 1997 with such awful stories continuing that the show continued to lose long term fans but now I think you are feeling what long term fans felt in 1988 1993 1994. And when Jill came in around June of 1995. I am sorry you got introduced to Amanda Cory in such an awful way I was lucky and got to see Sandra play Amanda Cory for the first time in late 1991 into 1992 into 1993. So that's how I knew the differences between the other actors and knew the stories and writing was not write. At all like Hadley Prescott.

@@NadineHutchinson-f5e was that 1997 or 1998 I am looking through 1998 again now I know there was some stuff with a Carl dopeldanger and Matt Cory with Brian Krause scheming with either Carl as his dopaldanger and then amanda trying to go after Jake while pretending to be Hadley Prescott to go after Carl. So I am thinking that was micheal Malones awful writing. And Nadine Carl was shot and thought dead around April or may of 1998 and the actor who had played Diego Santana on atwt played a charecter maybe named Scott who was revealed to have her behind shooting and killing Carl which was like Summer of 1998. And of course Carl was revealed to be alive and faked his death to treat a Brain tumer during the shows final couple of episodes in 1999. And no need to apologize for cursing because thats what we all felt to at that garbage. Remember soap fans have long memories so think about that fans who had watched bev McKinsey play iris would hsve been watching the show at this time and were apalled with what at this iris and Carmen Duncan because this is not at all like the iris they remembered and pardon my language why the hell would iris even want to steal her father's company when iris was left a lot of money and as much as her daddy Mac had when her husband Alex wheeler died he was a very wealthy and wonderful man just like Mac Cory was. And very wealthy and powerful and iris really loved Alex don't believe me go watch some Texas episodes in you tube to see the real iris. And to finally understand the charecter. And trust me aw viewers watched Texas too. Back then until bev left the show in mid 1981. And they hated Gail kobe.

And let's see getting things done I am a musician too and let me tell you I would not let someone mess with my stuff or my singing either and again I would kick this head writers butt again with her perception of lady killer and guts that like hard rock heavy metal too. And sorry I will take harding Lemays writing any day over this or Doug Marlands. And the only reason I am even watching this awful stuff is so I can fill in the gaps history wize with the hope that one day soon I can help with getting this show back on the air with guiding light and as the world turns but remixed and reset so they can have fresh starts and stop this awful trend of bad writing. Because she is The "Cheif" Iris has ALWAYS been just obsessed with Attention from Mac. That had to come from the writing team the replaced Harding Lemay earlier that year. 😂😂

That's how iris was when harding Lemay wrote the show in the 1970s but the diference was iris never saw the danger of her schemes. But in this case harding Lemay had reintroduced iris with a, different actress shortly before the incedent I mentioned which made him quit and in this case Donna swajeski and the next headwriter had no idea had to write iris corectly at all. But if you would like to see the real iris Beverly McKinsey you can watch her play Alexandra Spaulding on guiding light from 1984 to 1992. And yes there are some episodes of her playing iris for another world too but if you want a complete picture of iris with bev you can watch almost the complete series of Texas here on you tube you will enjoy it.

Donna, swajeski sucked she just did Richard culliton was good Carolyn culliton was good margeret depriest was good too although she made some mistakes even Peggy Sloane did some good stuff she just screwed up with Sam and Amanda but Donna swajeski made the mess. Just watch Donna ruin Jake and marley by having him rape marley which was so our of charecter that's coming up in 1990 but Starts out 1990 with Donna and Jake kissing each other and Donna is Vicky and marleys mother. And watch Amanda sleep with evan in early 1990 while evan tampers with the brakes on Amanda's car or something like that Amanda rips into him by September of 1990 but then evan leaves town then evan comes back in 1994 but there was never really any payoff evan bates was janice frames son and Rachel famously killed janice in st Croix in 1980 after age tried to poisen and kill Mac think evan bates was suposed to be like a James stenbeck at atwt or Roger thorpe during his first stint at guiding light and of you look at the writer credits you will notice micheal zaslow was part of the writing team here with his wife Susan hufford. Who harding brought I. But micheal would soon leave aw to return as a not so dead roger thorpe at guiding light and stay there until he got Als. So yes I hold grudges when daytime screws up and does not fix thier screw ups or does not stay within the bounds of who the charecters are or the show. Think about that for a moment you wanted to strangle in 1997 strangle Amanda Cory with a diferent actress playing Amanda right like the rest of long time viewers did but as you watch and catch up watching Sandra Ferguson play Amanda Cory from August 1987 to may of 1993 then return in March of 1998. You will see why because that's not how veiwers remembered amanda Cory fowler acting. And I think you are finding that out now.

And the only bright spots for this, show was late 1994 to early 1995 and the first 6 months of 1998. Pathetic

Donna, swajeski happened with her dumb writing thats what happened for the real Sam fowler and amanda story go back to August 1987 then work your way up on Eddie's channel he has all of 1987 up now and most of 1988. And yes Sam acted like a total jerk but Robert Kelker Kelly did a tremendous job with that awful material. And Robert continued to act his butt off doing more awful material and that's why he quit and left in 1990. As for me I much prefered how this show was looking pre Donna swajeski VS her writing during the writers strike and how it was looking with harding Lemays material from his brief return before he was crossed by micheal liabson by Micheal rehiring Donna, swajeski behind his back wanting her to be his Co headwriter when hexdid not need one so he walked off the set and quit in November of 1988. And I certainly prefered margeret depriests, writing and especially hardings stuff VS the crap show writing wize.

Again goes back to Donna, swajeskis awful dumb writing which happened in 1991. Where Carl was obsessed with Amanda and attacked her. Before bieng nabbed at a Halloween party that's why Amanda had issues with Carl and her mother years later. And to be honest as great as, Charles Keating was especially after what happened with Doug Watson it was a bit strange having Rachel and Carl together after the history between Carl's obsession with Rachel too he almost killed Rachel too in 1991. And the history between Mac and Carl. Hope this helps answer some of your questions and also Sam fowler years later hurt Amanda but nothing like what grant did to Amanda. Much later on but to me Sandra Ferguson was and is the real Amanda Cory period. Regardless of who was, writing the show.

It's tough with another world because since around late November of 1988 the show writing wize was mostly bad exveur for a few bright spots such as when carolyn culliton briefly headwrote the show. And it sounds like you were a later years watcher. So as for Sam fowler you probably watched Robert Kelker Kelly get reintroduced back in 1996 as bobby reno before he got turned into shabe roberts and bobby reno was more like how Sam fowler was In 1987. And as for Amanda Cory with Sandra in the role the charecter was a bit like Rachel was but Mac too. And you are forgetting that Rachel was hell raiser charecter when introduced originally much like Erica kane was at all my children and Robin strasser was the original Rachel and trust me Rachel really went at it with her mother Ada as played by Connie ford. As for Amanda I don't blame her at all for hating Carl. Would you want you mother with a guy who stalked you and your mother. And almost got your mother killed at the studio in 1991 and was obsssed with you and stalked you. And then trashed your father which is what Carl did in 1998 after Sandra returned as Amanda Cory. But again it comes down to the executive producers and writers but if they revise history and don't write the charecters corectly or give clear explanations to viewers who might not have watched the original then yes I can understand completely what you just said. Because Amanda after Sandra left in 1993 and was replaced with Christine tucci sounded and played the charecter like a complete b word came across as cold and not very likable and that was Peggy Sloanes writing until Carolyn culliton came in and started cleaning up that mess and, writing the charecter properly and breaking up Amanda Grant which is something Sandra Ferguson thought was all wrong. Plus the repairing of Amanda, with evan bates after what evan did to Amanda and Sam which is coming up soon. And as for the Hadley Prescott stubid stuff with Laura moss from 1997 for which I think you are referring too that was, charlotte savits and another idiot writer micheal Malone. And he was the one who decided to turn Bobby reno into shane roberts when the original plan was Robert Kelker Kelly was only suposed to play Bobby reno for 6 months then start playing Sam fowler again Sandra Ferguson was also suposed to return originally as Amanda Cory in 1997 not 1998 and the Sam amanda mess from 1993 was, suposed to get fixed with Sam and Amanda getting back together to try and save the show and of course that never happened and if course the show got canceled in 1999. But it sounds like you are, starting to get it in most cases it's not the actors fault it comes down to the executive producers and headwriters.

@@gabrielstern4992 😀 I get what you are saying and yes I started watching aw in 97 when Rachel was about to have the twins I didn’t know history of the show so I fell in love with the Rachel and Carl character’s, I saw how much he loved her while she was pregnant with those babies so to me as a young woman at that time it was beautiful I’ve been watching aw for the past two years I watch the eighty’s episode to the ninety’s I see some what Carl did but he wasn’t so bad as some villains in shows I understand why he did what he did to Rachel and Mac he was angry I’m not trying to justify what he did if you remember when he found out that it was his dad who sold the rain forest he even apologize to Rachel he told he was sorry for everything if Rachel married Carl it was her choice so her kids should respect that .
