I really do believe this is a stern reminder to never glorify anyone other that The Trinity. I do have a lot of respect for Paul Washer, but he is the first to say Christ alone.
I was a classmate of Ravi's. I knew him personally. I interviewed him and filmed him in my home. This was a good and fair analysis of this sad situation. Much sorrow for the victims
Dr Grande, you gained more huge respect from me for your balanced, honest analysis of one of my (now fallen) heroes. THANK YOU for not adding pain to those of us whose hearts were broken that our spiritual leader had feet of clay. Thank you for avoiding snide and snarky comments as many others have given. Ravi is a perfect example of why we are to put our faith in Jesus, not in humans.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness in making this video, Dr. Grande. Those of us who admired his views and truly believe in Jesus Christ have been horrified at the abuse he inflicted on these women, apparently for years. Anyone who calls themselves a Christian should not defend what he did.
Power and money often corrupt. My apologist reading stopped with C.S. Lewis, and I am not an evangelical, so I wasn't aware of this fellow. There are wolves in every faith's fold.
@@evelynwaugh4053 A very good apologist is Josh McDowell--very smart, and not arrogant or manipulative--has written several books and I have read his biography--as an abused child he searched the Scripture when grown, to prove it was a lie--and believed--also forgiving his abusive father and developing a relationship with his Dad before his death and leading him to believe also. Josh McDowell is worth reading.
As a Christian, I appreciate this thoughtful analysis. I want to make very clear that the Christian faith is completely against and doesn’t condone any behavior like this. Thank you for separating these incidents from the ultimate message of the faith and beliefs most Christians believe in and practice.
@@havest2 I found it to be unbiased and logical. Speculation on one’s beliefs or lack of unless already expressed is rather presumptuous in my opinion. So also is assuming that even if someone is Christian, would automatically validate this behavior.
@@easttowest5984 its not presumptuous he has crucifixes hanging on his wall. but apparently that makes me so odd to wonder? and it's not presumptuous for me to think the bible condones sexually violent behavior, because it does. lol The only "presumption" i appear to have made is that you read the book you claim to believe in while you ran under a bunch of your own presumptions thru assuming i had no evidence to back up my statements and also that i have never read the bible myself.
@@havest2 also presumptuous to assume someone hasn’t read the Bible who has since being a child all the way through to being an adult and taking Theology and religious studies 😉 I’m not going back and forth with you. I made a comment on a video and I stand by that. Sorry if that is upsets you.
It is sad how much damage a man's sins can do to his work. Thank you for your clear and direct handling of this topic, Dr. Grande. Looking forward to more videos in the future.
And Ravi Zacharias bragged about never being in a car with a woman or alone in an office with a woman. He knew what to say and when to say it. Very manipulative.
Yah, it adds something negative. Better to simply keep one's mouth shut rather than to compound the wrongdoing by proactively lying. He doth protest too much.
@@kr50401 from Jesus... people, although well intended aren’t perfect. That doesn’t excuse immoral behavior, but if God shows Grace why can we? This is the very reason we look to Jesus, not to man... first problem, of our age is making “celebrities” out of people, because at the end of the day no one is without sin, so should we throw the baby out with the bath water?
As an admirer of Ravi's work (not his behavior), it's truly tragic. Good analysis of the situation. May the victims find justice and healing from the evil that has been done to them.
I really appreciate Dr. Grande's fair-minded approach. I'm glad that his ministry investigated and admitted to the harm he had done. He clearly had a problem and instead of admitting it he abused his power to victimize people, and as a result has probably shaken some people's faith.
Uhhh not really I’ve heard good things about Ravi for years. The silence from the evangelical community is only deafening when their religious leaders “fall” aka sexually harass women.
Lol, one of the few things in my life I’ve really been struggling to accept. Thank you for this comment. I needed to know I wasn’t the only one hurting for the blinds. I think I’m ready now to accept as well.
There are many valid, negative criticisms that could be said about this platform, RUclips. But sometimes this platform functions beautifully, and both creator and viewer are the better for it, IMO. Dr. Grande is an example of RUclips in its best existence. I love the fact that this very intelligent, but likely introverted and perhaps even shy man has found a way to reach hundreds of thousands (maybe millions, depending on certain factors). I’m so glad that Dr. Grande created his channel, and that so many of us have found and embraced him. When a person truly hits his stride in life and is able to find his niche, I feel a tremendous sense of happiness and satisfaction. 😊
Using a position of power to engage in inappropriate behavior is disgusting. He is far from the only one in the ministry that has engaged in this behavior. He has seared his conscience .
About 10 years ago I attended a talk by Zacharias on a university campus in my home town. The audience was impressed with his brilliant apologetics and philosophy. What a tragic disappointment he turned out to be. Eloquence need not be conflated with piety. There was a very well spoken man in my church who was invited by the pastor to give sermons. He preached brilliantly. Just one slight problem: he was incesting two of his children. He was exposed, banished from the church, and his wife divorced him, got full custody of their 5 kids, and took possession of their homestead and business. He wound up losing everyone and everything of value to him.
Hi Dr. Grande, I was just waiting every day since this news about Ravi came to the airwaves to get your expert analysis. It was finally done today and was so precise and self explanatory. He knew what he was teaching is right. However, he violated it knowingly. Thanks for your analysis.
As the President of the Honorary Doctorate Recipients Association of America (HyDRA), I find it deeply offensive. We have many distinguished members - Dr. Evil, Dr. Strange, Dr Who. etc. It is time for "real" doctorates to stop pissing on us and get back to writing those grant proposals.
The plant grouping looks good and happy today. Dr.Grande, maybe it's a tall order but would you please share some suggestions on how Americans can reduce hostility among differing political groups and encourage understanding and sympathy? Life is short, we are wasting time arguing, we can do better.
I have friends who don't agree with my politics. Sometimes we agree, sometimes not. Recently I felt disrespected because one of my dearest friends unloaded on me, without giving me the chance to respond. I don't know what to do. I'm flabbergasted.
This situation was heart breaking to a lot of Christians. Ravi was not one of the teachers I particularly looked up to but I HAVE listened to a lot of his material and appreciated his views. As a Christian myself, I tried to be gracious when the first allegations started to come out (this was BEFORE the evidence of everything came out). We all have things we struggle with and we can't expect teachers to be any different. But once the report was released showing that he wasn't just sleeping around but actually ABUSED and took advantage of these women, I was shocked. This mans material, no matter how much he contributed to Christianity, should be erased and I don't understand the people who are still defending him. I can understand the disappointment and confusion of those who came to Christianity bc of his teachings but this is just too much. The most disgusting part of this (from a Christian point of view) was the fact that he manipulated these women with their faith and actually PRAYED with them, thanking God for the opportunity to abuse them. Horrible, awful man. I can't wait for the Christian community to put Ravi Zacharias behind us and move forward with teachers who reflect the lifestyle we teach.
Outwardly he behaved like and praised Jesus. Secretly he denied Jesus by his actions all the way to the grave and was more like 'his father' then his brother Jesus. Dont worry about Christ sheep, they know His voice and will not follow a stranger!
This kind of behavior is fairly common among Evangelical preachers like Bakker, Copeland, White and others who appear to be in the ministry for power over others, and, of course, the money and other gratifications. The Protestant Reformation came about to oppose the corruption of Christianity they saw being perpetrated by the Roman Church. However when looking at the corruption of the Evangelical ministry we can see that Protestantism has followed the same path of worldly corruption that they once condemned. One of the main abominations seen by Martin Luther was the sale of salvation [indulgences], and that is exactly what many Evangelical pastors are doing, offering salvation for money and a princely lifestyle.
Bravo! Bravo! These devils must be stopped, and the communities must stop letting them hide and carry on. I tossed the one book of his in my bookcase into the recycle bin, I don't want it resold at Goodwill. Men like him, make all Christians look bad.
Chillax, do you want to pretend Ravi's lectures no longer exists? Christianity is about facing troubles and dealing with them. The man was flawed, as are we all. Stop virture signalling, deal with the realities of life.
Thank you for a balanced analysis, Dr. Grande. As an INTJ who grew up in a rather religious family Zacharias was a name that was heard often. I remember when the allegations that he claimed to have have been a Professor at Oxford came out and I did a bit of research and was disgusted to learn of his abuse of women. Hopefully the evangelical community can learn from this, avoid putting people on pedestals and help the survivors of abuse instead of being in denial that any abuse occurred.
I'm really torn. I wish to say that the fact he engaged in habitual, grievous sin didn't mean his messages were wrong. Yet I know there are victims out there enduring the consequences. What's most disturbing was the predatory nature of his actions. They seemed premeditated 😞
Reminds me of King David except for the part that King David was a man after God’s heart, had repented and suffered the consequences of his sins throughout his life into old age.
I still love and respect Zacharias... He saved my life via his messages at a very difficult situation I was in 2011... His character might have been dented but his work and ministry is still intact for our generation and generations to come... I love you Ravi, continue to rest in peace.... Lots of love from me here in Nigeria, Africa
I respectfully feel that honorary doctorates are generally recognition of significant impact in some area of culture but still spit my coffee at Dr. Grande’s joke. Thanks a lot.
@@jamesjacocks6221 Problem is, it´s so hard to prove. They can always say, it´s because the person is culturally significant and has a lot of merits, But think about the fact, that very many rich people have several honorary doctorates. Very many.
Unfortunately one can not argue using such ineffable statistics. Many people with rich academic careers are successful. I am hoping that someone will question the value of an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity. The best sounding part is the first, some seem to claim to be the second. Is there a semester in middle school, and then again in early high school on the psychology of sexual coercion? Whether the abuser is the Weinsteins and Epsteins of the world, or the more common factory, restaurant, office supervisor or professor, sexual exploitation is going to be encountered by most young women, and even by some young men. Being able to see it clearly might be preventative.
I really liked him but I can no longer use any of his quotes and I feel like throwing away his books. I might be drastic but this is something hard for me to process or forgive, at least for now.
Mike Winger did a video about this subject, and threw away 3 or 4 books on camera. I don't have any of his books, but recall that I enjoyed the few talks that I had heard. Don't know any quotes. I feel bad for his fans/followers, organization, family, and especially his wife. I pray that all who have been hurt by this reveal will be strong enough in their faith to continue in true faith, and not fall away. Prophecy indicates a great falling away will happen... perhaps this is part of it.
I know exactly how you feel..I also went a long way to hear him preach...the whole election 'thing' in the U.S. has had me seriously look into the Televangelists...and I'm HORRIFIED by the whole lot of them...we should have a Global Bonfire of all their products!
Don't put the books away, there is talent, like Michel Jackson might have or not pass through bad things, but his music remains a gift. This woman were in part, part, it would not have moved so far if they had given it to be a part of his request. Once again, there is no problem with being very sexual, I don't think he obligated on his privacy, surely he was odd. Id rather pay a working woman on the field and not confuse things as they are, specially having an image towards anything to the public.
@@natashamudford4011 The falling away has already happened, just look at Bakker, Copeland, White and the pastors who have replaced God with Mammon and Jesus with Trump. Is there any further that they can fall?
As someone who supports a lot of post-evangelical people my heart goes out to the multitude of people who grew up with the teachings and abuses of this section of evangelicalism ❤️
Great video! I just found your channel, I love that you don’t speak over eccentrically. So many youtubers these days over emphasize their speech and speak in such highs and lows, forced character in their voices. All this to say-you have a great speaking voice.
As a Catholic I always admired Ravi Zacharias and encouraged friends to listen to him. I thought his arguments for theism and the Christian faith were very good. I once saw him speak in person. However, being Catholic and knowing what our church has gone through I knew this happens more times than not. I feel terrible and pray for the women who were just trying to make a living. They are victims of a man who at the least committed sexual misconduct and who was obviously a fraud, living a double life.
Honestly doc, I was shocked after reading the title, I jumped in and straight right away watched this video. I am fan of Ravi. He resonates Christian values, bright, apologetic and very critical. My Christian belief had not shattered after hearing this. We are human, we sin, I pray for Ravi’s soul. Whatever could have happened before his death. Could he ever by any chance ask for forgiveness? God bless his soul.
I liked your perspective on his followers and how they can reconcile their faith in his message with the bad deeds he did. Reminds me of the Nietzche quote: “There is a false saying: “How can someone who can’t save himself save others?” Supposing I have the key to your chains, why should your lock and my lock be the same?”
Thank you for addressing this subject. I am a Christian and it was a heartbreaking revelation. You spoke in a kind manner concerning a horrible situation. How true it is for Christians to keep our eyes on Christ the author and perfecter of our faith. Not people. He did inappropriate and sinful acts . He knew right from wrong. In representing himself as a Christian he was a hypocrite. Yet, Christ remains the Way the Truth and the Light. We the messengers are flawed and need to keep focused on Him. Thank you for the sensitive way you addressed today's topic. I always learn something.
Thank you for this analysis. I like Ravi and appreciate the respectful way you discussed what may have happened. This has been devastating to the people who admired him and who changed their lives partly using his influence as a catalyst. I enjoy your channel very much! Thank you.
You are the only person who hit my deepest concerns and questions I had about Ravi and his message . I have yet to hear any Christian and Christian leader acknowledge and answer what you did at the 9:15 mark. Thank you! You have no idea how much that helped me.
In my mind, his misdeeds does not invalidate his message. He was a great thinker and a great apologist. That having been said, it has been incredibly disappointing to have these allegations come forth and apparently be true. Those of us who loved and honored him are extremely hurt that he would fall prey to these behaviors that are so bloody common to man. Billy Graham still stands out for his insistence that he always be accompanied by another man, in order to provide both protection and accountability.
Thank you for your respectful treatment of this situation. Over the past years I’ve appreciated his logical approach in apologetics. He never was one who lifted on verse out of the Bible and built an entire faith system on it. You could follow his logic with truth. It may be a human characteristic to elevate teachers/leaders into positions where they think they are ‘more special’ than they are - maybe it has been that way ever since humans lived in community with each other. All I know is that now that I am 77 yrs old, I can clearly see that it happens over & over again - in many areas of life. But spiritual leaders stand out the most because people expect them to be perfect ..... and they are not perfect. This has been heartbreaking in so many ways. I admire the way this ministry has handle it so far . Many years ago I heard a very wise man warn people who are choosing a name for their new ministries: Never name a ministry after yourself!!!!! Again, thank you Dr.Grande for not being a ‘basher’. I sense so much truth in your analysis.
As a Christian I was Leary to listen to this because I did have respect for him before this scandal and was very surprised and hurt by what he did to those women, his family and the ministry. However since I tune in almost daily I know you give insightful commentary and so I watched. I was not disappointed. You handled this subject matter fairly and balanced and helped me in trying to figure out even more how something so sad and completely terrible such as this could happen. Thanks Dr. G
Dr. Grande where do you get all of that intellectual energy from when coming up with so many case studies in only one day? Will I ever get to meet them?
Sad because a known defender of the faith is taken down but the truth coming out serves justice to the victims, and the whole debacle serves as a great warning against living contrary to our own ideals. Hypocrisy is uglier than ignorance.
Today's shirt is Muuaah! Uplifting spring pastel😍 And I'm not sure what shade to call it (peach?apricot?) but it's very complimentary to your skin tone😊
Olivia, I have been a keen observer of Dr Grande's shirt collection and while I like the peach, I lean more towards the pink and pale blue. I am now also following his plant collection 🇬🇧
Hypocrisy and truth are two separate entities. Even if I'm a smoker and advised others not to smoke may seem hypocritical; still, doesn't change the fact that smoking is bad for one's health and good enough reason to quit.
Sometimes the topics aren't ones I am familiar with, but I still get so excited to see your posts. The voice of clarity and levity are so gratefully received.
Am still trying to process this a year on. Like you said being his fan this puts me o such a precarious position. But am happy to know that this does not necessarily negate his message. Thank you for your explanation 🙏
This issue has been weighing on me heavily over the past couple of weeks. I listened to Ravi at times and looked up to him. I feel so much for his family that he deceived. A lot is being said by many commentators and it must hurt them - your analysis was fair, measured and separated the man from what he claimed to believe. I was surprised and glad to hear your take on it. Respect
Thank you! You pretty much covered what my problem with all those casting stones. He may not have walked the talk ... but how does that negate his message? If he condoned his behavior, rather hide it .... Yes, I would agree. But how many so called Christians say one thing but do the other. You nailed it. Thank you.
A Pastor who is a Wonderful Christian man, noticed this - Ravi never "quoted Scripture". Notice that Pastors, even Sunday School teachers always quote God's Holy Word as they preach /teach.
if you think everyone who calls themselves a Christian lives by Jesus's teachings, all the time, you are sadly mistaken. In fact, is that not the whole point of Jesus - human beings "sin" all the time, and he came to die so we could all be forgiven? And who are you to judge, I thought only God was allowed to do that?
@@jonnylumberjack6223 Forgiveness is the charlatan's get-out-of-jail-free card. A super sinner pretending to be a "man of God" makes the sin a thousand times worse.
It depends on how one defines "Christian." It is quite possible that he deeply believed what he preached, and still behaved in contradictory and damaging ways. If Christians are defined not by what they believe, but by how they behave (the extent to which they adhere to certain teachings), then wouldn't most Christians fall short of the definition? I have no 'dog in this fight.' I just wonder if we are committing a "No True Scotsman" fallacy.
Dr. Grande, are you a believer? Your coverage of prosperity gospel charlatans and now Ravi has stoked my curiosity. Either way, I love your channel and your perspective
Same here, I am a believer, and the way Dr. Grande is sympathetic to us folks in the pews while excoriating the wolves in sheeps’ clothing is heartwarming and tragic at the same time.
Thank you for providing a rational and reasoned response to this horrible scandal. This scandal is a body blow to the body of Christ. This is a wake-up call for Christians to reaffirm that our faith rests in Jesus, not on humans.
It's ok don't feel bad. I was misled too. I followed rzim for a while in my teens and 20s but stopped after I found the environment to be toxic. I'm sorry to have learned it. Thank you Dr Grande
Thank you Dr. Grande. I was a devout believer in Ravi. I have really struggled with how he could do this and truly believe and not confess it. You have brought me a great measure of comfort and understanding. Thank you Thank you Thank you. It has really troubled me.
Your conclusion was spot on. I think he was a logical person, who unfortunately used his analytical reasoning to justify his own inappropriate behavior. Thank you for another great review!❤️
I really like Dr Grandes videos, he sheds light on issues and topics I never knew existed. Like I knew a little bit about an issue, then Dr Grande blows the details wide open, love it....
Thank you for another wonderfully balanced analysis. I was a total fan of Ravi, and was completely blindsided when the truth came out. My faith in God, however, is not shaken in the slightest. Ironically, Ravi always said never to judge a worldview by its abuse. Jesus is the same today, yesterday, and tomorrow. My prayers are with the numerous victims, the people dealing with the aftermath of this horrible situation within the ministry, and Ravi's family.
@@majidhussain3896 Jesus said, "Truly, truly I say to you, before Abraham was, I Am." (John 8:58) The Bible refers to God as I Am in many parts of the Old and New Testaments.
@@megalopolis2015 look at what he said that caused they to try to st**e him: "'I tell you the truth,' Jesus answered, 'before Abraham was born, I am!' At this, they picked up stones to sto*e him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds. (From the NIV Bible, John 8:58-59)" Jesus existing before Abraham doesn't prove that he is GOD Almighty. In the Old Testament, the Bible presents Jeremiah as being a prophet before he was conceived in his mother's womb; "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. (From the NIV Bible, Jeremiah 1:5)" Yet no one says that his pre-human existence qualifies him for deity. Also as to "I am" that Jesus used, no it wasn't the same "I am" that GOD Almighty used in the Old Testament. GOD used "HO ON", while Jesus used "EGO EIMI". If Jesus wanted to tell the Je*s that he was claiming to be God he should have at least remained consistent in the use of words or the whole point is lost. How many people in that age would have said "I am," in answer to questions in everyday life. Billions. Are they all gods? Of course not! The Jews thought in John 10:30-33 that Jesus claimed to be God. He responded to them by saying: "Jesus answered them, 'Is it not written in your Law, 'I have said you are gods'? If he called them 'gods,' to whom the word of God came--and the Scripture cannot be broken--what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, 'I am God's Son'? (From the NIV Bible, John 10:34-36)" At first, they thought Jesus was claiming to be GOD. Then, he refuted them by saying that he only claimed to be the Son of God, as GOD Almighty had many Sons in the Bible before Jesus. Again, there is no proof what so ever that Jesus peace be upon him was GOD Almighty or the Creator of the Universe. Jesus refuted those who tried to praise him as GOD. - ""Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good-except God alone." (From the NIV Bible, Mark 10:18)" They sto**d and ki**ed many Prophets of GOD Almighty. they cause for several other Prophets to be sto*ed and ki**ed before Jesus. How about considering these Prophets GOD Almighty Himself? Let us look at what Jesus said about the Jews killing their Prophets: "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kil** the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing. (From the NIV Bible, Matthew 23:37)" Here we clearly see that Jesus peace be upon him is giving up on them He preached the Truth to them for 3 years and saw not much fruits from them. He instead, saw nothing but arrogance and stubbornness. These Prophets were not GOD or part of GOD. Jesus is no different. He too was rejected by them, when he brought the Truth to them. "They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the third of three; when there is no God save the One God. If they desist not from so saying a painful doom will fall on those of them who disbelieve. (The Noble Quran, 5:73)" "Say: He is God, the One and Only; God, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him. (The Noble Quran, 112:1-4)" "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. (From the NIV Bible, Deuteronomy 6:4)" "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. (From the NIV Bible, Mark 12:29)" ""Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good-except God alone." (From the NIV Bible, Mark 10:18)" "God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? (From the NIV Bible, Numbers 23:19)" Indeed, Jesus Christ, the man, is only a Messenger from Allah Almighty, and he also was never cru**fied

Dr. Grande, can you do a video on nouthetic counseling? I found a website of former seminar students that said they were required to do it and made it seem like Christianity was borrowing from Scientology's auditing therapy. Apparently, someone at their seminary committed suicide under the treatment and they now require people to sign legal documents saying they will not sue the university if they are damaged mentally due to the sessions. They are also disciplined if they go to regular therapy. The whole thing seems shady
That would be very interesting. I can see how a seminary would have an interest/stake in their students' suitability, fitness and calling, but psuedoscience and unqualified counsel is scary.
Lol yes! My grandmother bought a my pillow and it hurt her neck so bad after a week of using it she had to go to the doctor. Then she told my husband that he could have it, and he raved about it until a few weeks later he started having major neck pain.
Yes, please do. As a mental health nurse (specialising in drug induced psychosis and drug rehabilitation) I believe these would be helpful and informative to those already in the mental health care profession and for those who want to access these services. Plus, anything that normalises mental health and decreases the stigma of it is always beneficial.
Another fair and reasonable analysis, Dr. Grande. This has been hard on a lot of people, and others resorting to sarcasm and vitriol against the man hasn't been helpful in dealing with the conflicting feeling toward a man who helped me greatly in my faith but clearly had a compartmentalized area of his life which was illicit and predatory. This is a tough one, and I think your video will help people struggling. Cheers
The article in Christianity Today stated that the alleged misconduct occurred from 2005-2010 at the spa, over a decade before he died. I'm not sure why these accusers waited so long to come forward. He is not here to defend himself. Perhaps the allegations are false or he did repent. He was a great apologist. If pray these allegations are false, but it's hard to tell.
@KTTGHMTJWYCBLAC Yes, I also was devastated by the news and just couldn't believe it. Now maybe there's hope for him that he repented and changed his ways. (i.e. if the allegations were true)
As a Christian and someone who looked up to Ravi this is devastating. I pray for the girls he victimized and also for his poor family. Imagine his wife finding all this out after his death. Sad!
As a Christian, one thing that I have learned is to be transparent with a brother in Christ about my struggles. And also, not to judge. This analyst was truly a blessing.
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. 7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” St. John 14 Amen
You are so kind. I am a Christian, also, but I have not found a Church which I can comfortably attend. There are other reasons, of course, but I admire your kind objectivity. Bless you.
If anyone ever wonders about Dr. Grandes (alias Dr. Big) qualifications, go to his channel and dig deep back six years through huge bank of videos and prepare to be amazed. He is very modest about his experience and knowledge.
Really great analysis. As someone that had previously really benefited from Ravi Zacharias's teachings, I am beyond disgusted and furious that a man who claimed to be a faithful husband was so blatantly committing these awful abuses. I'm only sad he passed before he could be brought to justice.
Justice isn't handed out on Earth. Justice is realized at the final judgement of God for those on his left and Jesus's judgement for those on his right. In the end, true Justice will be handed out. As for me, I hardly know all the details (I didn't even know he died) and I'm an outsider to all of this, so I'm going to not pronounce judgment but ask God for mercy. I'll still use his material but reconsider my own boundary lines ensuring they are sufficient and respected.
omg, that was such a cute and funny comment! You made me laugh so hard already , and it's only 5:45 in the morning! Hahaha! Thank you for starting my day out right! Hugs from Las Vegas!
I too was broken when I learned that Mr. Zacharias was found to be guilty of these "misdeeds". It was difficult for me to believe that such a seemingly stalwart man of God could do these things. But then I realized that we all are but sinners in the eyes of God, and we indeed have feet of clay. I truly hope that he asked God for forgiveness on his deathbed before he passed.
I was a casual listener to Ravi’s recorded messages.I distinctly remember approximately 5 years ago, hearing something he said that seemed very odd, even suspicious for a “man of God.” He was speaking at an event and casually mentioned that he sometimes flies to Thailand alone, to rest and meditate. I thought that was strange that he would travel to Thailand ALONE! Thailand is generally a lovely country with even lovelier people, but it’s also a nation that has a high level of sex trafficking! So it immediately gave me pause. And further, why would he even mention that in public?!? After saying a quick prayer for Zacherias, I listened to the rest of the recording. Fast forward years later to 2020, after hearing about the accusations of sexual impropriety, I was initially shocked. Then I remembered hearing about the Thailand trips he’d make by himself, and, along with the 12 page attorneys report, I concluded that it was probably true. Besides the women that he abused, the biggest victims in all of this is his wife and family!! Terrible.

What an embarrassing legacy to leave to one’s family. I enjoyed listening to Ravi’s messages when they would come on the radio. I thought he was insightful and intelligent and was utterly shocked when this all came to light. I wonder if in a situation like this, since he was already passed on, would it be better to not expose this? The only person it hurts now is the family
My husband was a fan of his, and this just crushed him. I am choosing to believe that; even though Ravi turned out to not be an upstanding citizen, his message was meant to bring people closer to God.
As a Christian, this is really heartbreaking for me, but just reminds me to look up to Christ and no one else. Thank you for this video! Well done.

Using a position of power to engage in inappropriate behavior is disgusting. He is far from the only one in the ministry that has engaged in this behavior. He has seared his conscience .
It was criminal behavior and his ministry covered up for him.

@@majidhussain3896 Jesus said, "Truly, truly I say to you, before Abraham was, I Am." (John 8:58) The Bible refers to God as I Am in many parts of the Old and New Testaments.
@@megalopolis2015 look at what he said that caused they to try to st**e him:
"'I tell you the truth,' Jesus answered, 'before Abraham was born, I am!' At this, they picked up stones to sto*e him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds. (From the NIV Bible, John 8:58-59)"
Jesus existing before Abraham doesn't prove that he is GOD Almighty.
He responded to them by saying:
"Jesus answered them, 'Is it not written in your Law, 'I have said you are gods'? If he called them 'gods,' to whom the word of God came--and the Scripture cannot be broken--what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, 'I am God's Son'? (From the NIV Bible, John 10:34-36)"
At first, they thought Jesus was claiming to be GOD.
"No one is good-except God alone." (From the NIV Bible, Mark 10:18)"
They sto**d and ki**ed many Prophets of GOD Almighty. they cause for several other Prophets to be sto*ed and ki**ed before Jesus. How about considering these Prophets GOD Almighty Himself? Let us look at what Jesus said about the Jews killing their Prophets:
"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kil** the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing. (From the NIV Bible, Matthew 23:37)"
Here we clearly see that Jesus peace be upon him is giving up on them He preached the Truth to them for 3 years and saw not much fruits from them.
(The Noble Quran, 5:73)"
"Say: He is God, the One and Only; God, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him. (The Noble Quran, 112:1-4)"
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. (From the NIV Bible, Deuteronomy 6:4)"
"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. (From the NIV Bible, Mark 12:29)"
""Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good-except God alone." (From the NIV Bible, Mark 10:18)"
"God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? (From the NIV Bible, Numbers 23:19)"
Indeed, Jesus Christ, the man, is only a Messenger from Allah Almighty, and he also was never cru**fied
I'm begging, PLEASE do an analysis of the Christopher Porco case!!! I would love to hear your thoughts, particularly how his Mother defended him. It's such a bizarre case!
“False prophet, wolf in sheep’s clothing”
No, just someone who deluded themselves into error.
These are the words of Christ, not mine. Come to your own conclusions who the Lord is speaking of: Matt. 7:22-23.
He deluded the masses too. A false prophet indeed.
@@Rose-ez2fm He's not a false prophet. He's just a sinner.
@@lillianbradley3483 - he is guilty of both.
Especially since he was preaching.
“.....For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required.” -Luke 12:48
Can you do an examination of The My Pillow Guy please Dr. Grande? Epic shirt btw
I think he did, did he? It was a man who had a company of pillows and supported Trump, is it the same guy?
Yes he did. My bad. Thanks for the correction.
Lol yes! My grandmother bought a my pillow and it hurt her neck so bad after a week of using it she had to go to the doctor. Then she told my husband that he could have it, and he raved about it until a few weeks later he started having major neck pain.
I really enjoyed this one, doc! And just a friendly reminder that it would be awesome if you did some more clinical role play videos!
I agree. I learned a lot from those as well.
Cheers
I liked that title. hypocrisy doesn't negate a fact, or a logical argument. this title cuts thorough "bias" and flawed thinking
Ravi Zacharias didn’t have a logical argument, though.
@@icturner23 maybe you're right but regardless, the worldview he represented had enough of them. :)
@@icturner23 I'll take the bait. Go for it and explain what you mean.
Sad!
Most wives know what they married. She is probably as responsible for covering it up.
As a Christian, one thing that I have learned is to be transparent with a brother in Christ about my struggles. And also, not to judge. This analyst was truly a blessing.
That's good I'm a believer too.
@@ay613 that's what up!
You could your said it.
I think so too.
Which is refreshing!
Also, his birthday is Feb. anyone know exact date ¿.

Well, he was an apologist, so of course he lied and was inconsistent. That's part of the trade.
A brilliant speaker whose body of work is significant and enormous by any standard. He erred and he obviously had many detractors
That fire fighter analogy, tho? Burn!!
I’ll show myself out.
lol, Brianna :)
omg, that was such a cute and funny comment! You made me laugh so hard already , and it's only 5:45 in the morning! Hahaha! Thank you for starting my day out right! Hugs from Las Vegas!
🤣🤣🤣
Lmao...
Can I still claim to be "the Doctor of Desire" sans an actual diploma?
Terrible.
Can you do Martin Bryant (port Arthur)
That honorary doctorate thing is crazy making. Thank you for addressing it.
I listen to Ravi's sermons occasionally even after he died and hearing all this about him I still can't process how could he. But besides that it just doesn't feel right that more people talk about this. Cause his sermons are so good and people wont listen to them anymore.
😂Dr. Grande, the way you keep a straight face making these jokes without cackling up is what even cracks me up 😂. You are good at throwing a few laughs in there. Thanks for these videos, I enjoy them all
I struggle with my daily sinful thoughts and he's here with 200 women on rotation 🤦
@DrumWild Well said!
@DrumWild true !!!
Do you think he had one of these ticket machines?
Stay strong Louis, take it to God. We all struggle.
@DrumWild Sin, or whatever construct you judge morally right or wrong, separates. Sin divides. I've witnessed it time and time again.
He had a doctorate punch card. The tenth honorary doctorate gets you one for realsies doctorate.
A doctorate in the science of Scam-o-rama!!!
The day I come back to watching yt and THIS JOY is what comes up.
Brilliant
My husband was a fan of his, and this just crushed him.
I am choosing to believe that; even though Ravi turned out to not be an upstanding citizen, his message was meant to bring people closer to God.
i had requested a video on Ravi and wondered how in the world you could pull it off. And you certainly did. Excellent.
