    I am an American woman and I have to say that i love your channel. Many of the pains that you share about the Indian corporate world apply to the corporate world in America as well. I’m finding such an empathetic and comforting voice here and you’ve shared so much wisdom. I love your point about not trying to tie your passions to corporate…it never works out. Thank you for being here!

    Wow Pavan thank you for sharing your valuable insight. I didn't know that most of the strategic decisions were taken in foreign countries and not in India. You had said in a previous video as well that countries like the US think of Indians as cheap labour and try to get a lot of support work done by them by paying very little. It's sad that Indians are still not taken very seriously when it comes to making important business decisions. We need to change that.

    It depends on the purpose of the joining a corporate job. When lower class get even a clerical-type corporate job, they are happier than doing odd labour jobs, which probably their elders did previously ( farmers, masons etc.). They have purpose of uplifting their family, educating their children better and build a place for themselves in society. They have fire in the belly and fear of losing out on respect.

    • @samhitabhattacharya3608
      @samhitabhattacharya3608 9 месяцев назад

      Its not question about class its always question about lower or average or higher IQ/EQ ,most of the people working in IT sector from india are average IQ and managers are numbskull in terms of technology enhancements but better politicians than MPs and panchayet Pradhan as a result of which toxic work culture is everywhere more than ever.And in india purely this body shoppers (TCS,wipro ,Infosys etc etc )are responsible their only moto is to create personal wealth for their 10th successive generation at the cost of whole nation's talent pool and they defamed indian talent face by selling cheapest the best

    • @gvasu3445
      @gvasu3445 9 месяцев назад

      Of course dost. But listen to the question asked inthe video. I mentioned you are assuming that what you have as a IT job in India is of low value, but what is "value". It will vary from person to person.
      Ok let's take an example.
      Just imagine if you're from a tier 3/4 engineering college. You know you ll have very little chances of beating folks from CS from IITs in top CS jobs. Now out of some networks, you got a basic Testing job say in tier 2 CS company like NetApp or even Capgemini in Bay Area or even say Texas, all sponsored and paid with salaries as there. Then what will you do? Is it not better life than that you'd have hardly had any chances of while staying in India with the intense competition (ive seen 40k applications for 1 job)? Something that's way out of your league here while having a tier 4 degree? Job might be shityy, no IITian would ever take up such a role probably, but for you, with your background and experience, won't this be a lifestyle changer ?!!. People think in multiple ways.
      Just similarly I said the corporate job satisfaction depends on what you consider as satisfaction, which varies from people to people. Trust me, I have seen the son of an auto driver who got a job in TCS ( probably earned the same as his father per month), but he had so much satisfaction and got so much respect in his lane of residence ( which had all families of daily wage earners), in fact he became mentor / role model to the youngsters in his neighbourhood ( he was called Ram anna).. he would daily wear clean formals and go to job - though it was typical TCS job. He was a BCA/MCA.
      You're viewing this from a single point. India is far far bigger than what we have seen, and most of us, seem privileged than so many more people who are just lucky to have job.

      @@arijit1809 hey, I guess you misunderstood what I mentioned.
      Both of them (IIM grads) - are intellectuals, with great companies (all they’ve earned from IIMs is good education & a platform).
      See from this point - if they work hard, volunteer & deliver results they’ll become CEO. Which you cannot without a good education (or MBA).
      Please note that:
      1. As an average college grad. (you’d end up with mediocre people & job, where you may not have opportunities to grow intellectually).
      2. Even if you work hard, volunteer & deliver results you’d not be awarded (forget about promotion) or CEO.
      3. That’s why - understand - that when you’ve already have a good education (MBA brand) - and then if you work hard & do whatever is expected - you’ll grow & excel.
      4. Don’t ever question (good) Education or take it for granted.
      5. Probably after 3-5 years of corporate experience you can start a business, whatever & grow.
      6. Don’t be overconfident - especially don’t discount formal education (there’s a reason it’s difficult to get into - in the 1st place).
      And what I wanted to convey that - even with great brands & education - if you don’t work hard enough & upskill you’ll end up at the same place (or worse - no where).

    Getting new hot skills used to work till 2015 but now these body shopping companies TCS,wipro ,Infosys,HCL etc etc successfully engineered strategy to kill talent pool as india distributes engineering degree to any daaaam IQ people so there is never shortage of resource so its very easy to screw resource putting 10 average people in a new technology project and get the work done rather than paying 2 good IQ people decent salary ,sometimes projects failed by this body shoppers, as they r very renounced in west not having work culture so that failure does not cause any more reputational damage because if u dnt have any reputation at first place no matter poor performance u did there will be no impact
