- Zadie Smith is an English novelist, essayist, and short story writer. Smith was elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2002. As of 2012, she has published four novels, all of which have received substantial critical praise.
Her talent, candour and wit is deeply appreciated!
I love to listen to Zadie's interviews.
She's simply marvelous!
What, because she gets her inspiration from other books?
I love how she answered the question about what she would like to be asked. It was super honest.
She said writing is a real workmanlike process, and yet interviewers ask authors really pseudo-intellectual, pseudo-philosophical, abstract, ethereal questions, and the authors have to just make up answers to them. I'd say that's about right.
"The question is do you want to spend all day, alone?"
YES. Yes. A hundred times yes.... Lol.

Bombs could go off around Zadie and she would be still be nonplussed and single mindedly a writer and critic. Consistence is what I like about her... like a plate of blueberry pancakes made by me.🐢
This woman is really inspirational. She has the genius eyes of the likes of Ayn Rand and such a strong intellectual clarity.

She's of Jamaican and English descent. Dark skin doesn't mean Muslim --- that's a bigoted view.
@@faiza.s6509 If you're going to criticize someone, you must be LOGICAL --- otherwise you completely lack credibility. And you, my friend, were not logical with your first critique. This individual said NOTHING WHATSOEVER about her attractiveness. So you're bitching about NOTHING. He/She simply is expressing that he has never seen her without a head wrap on.
Second, even if he had said that he felt she was more attractive with her head wrap off, that is not in any way bigoted whatsoever. I prefer women who wear glasses. That does not mean I'm misogynist if I find women who don't wear glasses less attractive. I have to tell you, it's really a shame that there are so many minds in this joint that lack incisiveness, because it brings the level of the dialogue way down for the rest of us.
Fourth, whether the garment was religious or not is irrelevant. You could believe a priest looks more or less attractive with his pink garment versus his green garment. Or, you may think a priest looks more attractive in a men's suit --- a non-religious garment. That doesn't in any way denigrate the religion.
I think you need to go back to school and take a basic logic course. Seriously. You've publicly embarrassed yourself.

Oh! you are ABSOLUTELY right, I am a close minded, ignorant, and utterly mediocre human being.
