To answer your chant questions:
1. Yes there are official fan chants for almost every song, most of them are for their main title tracks but i do believe there are some for like B-side tracks. The boys company usually sends out a notice of the lyrics of the song which shows what lines the fans actually sing along with. sometimes if there isn’t one ARMY either online or ones at the concert/event will make up our own chants for a song. Mostly we just sing the lines with them even if there isn’t one specifically pointed out for us, just because we love the song itself.
Fanchant Name order in case you forgot: ( Leader to Youngest)

5. Park Jimin

2. During Airplane pt 2 u usually at the start will hear ARMY saying the names of the boys in fan chant order, like how u saw at the end of the introduction vid u did from Taylor. We chant that at the beginning and end of every performance for them, just like u saw in this specific song.
3. Just so you know in case, nobody told you but in Idol the main part where their hands go up high and their leg kinda twist (the dance move at the start of the chorus) is an African dance, so African Army really love this song and its sort of an anthem for them.
ARMYs are always singing along with BTS during their performances just because we know the words already, the company and the boys always want us to feel apart of their performance with them. So its always a joint effort between Us & them.
Also for that fan dance, Jimin was awarded a plaque. It was given to him by The Kim Baek Bong Korean Fan Dance Conservation Society. They wanted to show appreciation for his dance since in Korean culture most dancers who do this specific dance are women. Also his interpretation of it helped peak more interest from global audiences about the dance itself, since the video of his dance went viral.

Usually a weverse notification, so on the weverse app itself. If I remember correctly they did that for J-hope's song More when he was going to perform his album for lollapalooza.

I think the dance part that you where talking about in Airplane pt. 2 is a combination of the African dance and a Korean dance….🤔🤷♀️
What they’re wearing in idol performance is called ‘Hanbok’, the Korean traditional clothes!! It’s different from kimono which is from Japan:)
Additionally the performances the dancers did with the members before the song(with hand fans, long sleeves and etc.) were also Korean traditional performances(or show) that have been done when parties are held at the era!

Yes, the robe they're wearing is called modernized 'Durumagi(두루마기)', which is one kind of 'Hanbok(한복)'. And 'Nongak(농악)', Korean community band music, dance and rituals and Korean talchum mask dance are Unesco intangible cultural heritages. They're introducing Korean traditional culture through this Idol performance.

The speech that you hear in the background is RM's speech during Bbmas where BTS won their first BBMA. It was such a pivotal moment for BTS and was their 1st appearance in an American award show. The ARMYs who went to the Bbmas 2017 showed gigantic support and made the Western world notice BTS

U petty and over sensitive , people react to the songs people request , they dont have to like bts to do REACTION VIDEOS and if the viewers request the videos , naturally they would react to it even if they dont find it interesting because its REACTION VIDEOS and to grow their youtube channel they would pay attention to what their audience request so how exactly is it using army ? Its growing their channels , its peoples livelihoods .. not every reactioner is into bts and that is okay .. having a mindset of oh people use army is ridiculous , at the end of the day , each youtuber would like to grow their channel and hopefully have subscribers who will be interested in their content aswell , why cant we support youtubers who grow their channel for their content to be viewed aswell that is not just bts based . The traditional Korean clothing is Hanbok. It has a very different look from the Japanese kimono and the Chinese hanfu. What BTS is wearing is modern hanbok.
Fan chants and the ARMY bombs make the concerts an interactive experience between the performers and audience. Many of the songs are written with a fanchant in mind. The intro takes into consideration the chant with the names (I see a number of comments with this chant), giving time and a beat when to begin the chant allowing 70.000 ARMYs to be in sync.
Kpop groups have their own lightsticks. TXT's is a round flat circle (like a lollypop sucker) with a +/x. Fans at award shows will have their lightsticks on for all the performances. (If they turn them off en masse, it is called a black ocean--very insulting. This happened to BTS when they were first starting out.)

I'm so happy your guys enjoyed their MMA performance. Yes, there are a lot of them (as well as MAMA performances - pronounced "mama", btw) You can't compare K-pop music award shows to western award shows; it is always on another level! Those stages are always top-notch and totally epic performances. Can't wait for you to check out the rest of them!
Also, btw, the traditional garb that they are wearing is called a "Hanbok". The reason BTS chose to go like really hard on the traditional theme for their song "IDOL" is because they were responding to a lot of the criticism that they got for being "too westernized" or that they were "catering too much to a western audience" and netizens were accusing them of "forgetting their roots". So, their song "Idol" showcases that they had NOT forgotten where they came from and placed traditional Korean culture and history at the forefront of their MV and song production (as I'm sure you were able to pick up in the production of the song, BTS used traditional Korean instruments and implemented their distinctive sounds into the "IDOL" track). Secondly, they were also criticized for their more serious songs that garnered them a lot of popularity like "Fake Love", "Blood Sweat and Tears", "I Need U", etc. saying that "BTS only knows how to do dark concepts" Thus, you were able to see in both their performance and their MV, they really went all out on the colorful concept.
I'm sure there are a lot more fun facts about "IDOL" that I missed but those were the ones I remembered off the top of my head. Either way, I'm so glad you guys liked the performance. Have to disagree with the editing, it was super annoying, there is no way you have to cut that much to avoid copyright and it ruined the flow of the video.
Also, the Junkook bias was a bit obvious in the cuts and as OT7, that was also super annoying. There are funny clips of all the members, why show the bias?
(edit to include), plus the poor sound of the music was terrible, could barely hear the boys, almost stopped watching.
@@justinmcbride8910 As much as I have to respectfully disagree with your opinion about the editing (because Mnet is a hardass when it comes to their award show clips, and we wouldn't want the channel to strike the CCaWR. So I say, better safe than sorry. Perhaps the channel can release an uncut/unedited version of their reaction on their Patreon page? Or even a fully blurred-out version of the performance for RUclips); the audio of the performance is an actual issue, though. That being said, I'm not sure how much an editor can fix that in post though, as I remember the performance video itself contained horrible sound quality.
As for more diversity in the funny meme clips... I agree that there are thousands of funny clips of the guys, but collecting them is a lot of work. I appreciate the effort they are putting in for the editing of a video this long as is. Maybe, they are just testing the water and doesn't want to get overwhelmed with all the feedback and responses by sticking to what they know, you know?

Jungkook will be performing at the opening ceremony of FIFA WORLD CUP this year, tomorrow. His solo song "Dreamers" is in the official soundtrack. MV will be released in November 22. This is a HUGE deal. We are so proud of our baby bunny😭

Guys, I know you are really admiring them singing live with tiring choreographies but one of the reasons why they have stable vocals even they are jumping around or doing complicated dance steps because during their practice, they tried running on the treadmill while they are singing. They are not the only one doing it, even other Hybe's artists are doing it too like Hueningkai and Taehyun from TXT. That's why they have a stable vocals even if they're dancing. BTS is known to be THAT group who know how to put on a show. People wait to see what they come up with in every performance cause theyre known to be very hardworking and perfectionists. When we say that NOBODY puts on a performance like BTS we weren’t joking. They are TOP TIER. I’m so glad to see you react to this particular performance. It is my all time favorite MMA performance. They are so phenomenal at what they do and their mics are ALWAYS on.
Enjoyed watching this with you guys. BTS have a Bangtan Bomb where all their behind the scenes are on video. Award shows, MV tapings, Attending events, Photoshoots etc. Basically for everything they put out, there's almost always a behind the scenes for it. This is one reason why they are so connected to ARMYs. They put out their insane performances, and you'll see their rawness backstage too. How they get nervous before a performance, how dedicated they are practicing and rechecking their stages, at the same time you'd see them after their performances - how exhausted they get. They are almost crawling to get down, oxygen masks waiting for them, being carried by staff coz they can barely walk, feet being dumped in cold water etc. They are insanely good onstage and their production are top tier. All to give back to ARMYs. You can watch those behind the scenes at your own leisure, or you can post and we'd gladly watch with you. They have so many contents online. I myself won't even get bored while waiting for 2025. Lol. You haven't even started In The Soop, Bon Voyage and their variety show RUN BTS which has about 155 episodes if I remember correctly. Plus the new releases. You're good until the next year... Hahaha!
This is forever my favorite BTS performance (even over MMA 2019). You truly just had to be there when this performance happened, after everything that happened that year, to know why.

2018 MMA was one of the most epic performances. The production value is limitless.
BTS is my ultimate favorite KPop group, but MMA and MAMA are year end award shows where many KPOP acts come and show off everything they have! It’s wild. Through these award shows I learned about different KPop acts and have come to love so many different groups! So to go to one of these shows, is almost a once in a lifetime experience. Rumor has it that MAMA may come to the US by 2025…

The different rooms spelled P-E-R-S-O-N-A which was the intro track to their up and coming (at that time) Love Yourself album. BTS like to give ARMYS clues on the concepts, album or song titles of their upcoming project, so there's always easter eggs within their performance and sometimes in their music video.

This presentation was epic! BTS 💜. Also important to notice that Jimin got an Appreciation Plaque from The Kim Baek Bong Korean Fan Dance Conservation Society, for his amazing fan performance in the intro of Idol and for his (quote) "significant contribution to promote the status and the aesthetic value of the dance". The fan dance is considered as an Intangible Cultural Treasure by the Korean Government 😊, so getting this Plaque was really a touching and impressive way to get his superb dancing style acknowledged. BTS are not only amazing performers, but also spectacular ambassadors of his culture!!
Exactly i remember all army on my twitter tl talking about the meaning of the fan dance it was such a beautuful performance but also we get to learn some things about their cultural heritage
FOR EDITOR XEN, the edits are really cute but i would appreciate it if it were put in a good timing. I can suggest that you put the edit before or after a phrase of the song, not in the middle cause the edit were kinda interupting a good moment of the song. Also I think instead of small cute clips, you can put pictures instead so the interuption won't take too much time of the momentum away. idk if i explained it right but yeah that's it. You're doing a great job!

BTS live performance are always fire better than studio version 💜🔥25:44 there are specific chants between the songs and at that time we usually chant their names which starts from leader to oldest to youngest it's like on rhythm Kim namjoon,Kim seokjin, min yoongi ,Jung hoseok,park jimin ,Kim taehyung,jeon jungkook BTS..like this which makes the song more intense and exciting 💜✨✨

A little side note - just wanted to let you know, as some other ARMYs have already commented, that the audio volume of the original video was too low to hear 😖 I live the new edits too but if it's at all possible to lessen the frequency especially during your reactions when the video is playing that would be awesome.
I don't know if RUclips blocks MMA reaction videos but I have seen other reaction videos with much less frequent (or none st all) edits. I don't mean no disrespect to your editor or your video, just would love to see your contents without interruption as much as possible 💜
i agree w the comment about the edits! i love them but wish it was a little less frequent and i also don’t think the copyright clips are necessary for live performances or music videos most of the time 😭
Great video! All the BTS performances in the MMA and MAMA awards since 2014 are incredible. Even in their early years, they stood out. Sometimes they did joint performances with other idol groups.
The audience were chanting the BTS name call and song lyrics in all 3 songs. They did chant "Mariachi!" 😉
BTS voices are steady when they jump, spin and do all their intricately high energy choreo because they train hard for it ever since their pre debut days. I learnt that they even sing while on the treadmill to improve stability and increase stamina. They do long hours of dance practice. When Hobi prepared for his Lollapalooza headline event, he rehearsed daily crazy long hours for months. That's saying a lot because Hobi is known for being a perfectionist, is a consummate artist and dance leader who has rhythm, technique and performing skills down to a science. Namjoon and Jimin love to run. JK boxes and does judo. Jin plays tennis. V lifts weights and also does judo. Suga has been taking additional dance classes and also works out. They are incredibly disciplined with a work ethic that surpasses the norm. They never settle for less in every thing that they do.
Regarding how stable their voice is, they went through a lot of training in order to gain that kind of skill like singnig while jogging/running on a treadmill .
And regarding the chanting in Airplane pt2, if you remember Taylor's guide, ARMY would chant the guys;' names (from leader, to eldest to youngest then "BTS!") at parts of the songs especially at the beginning and ending...which they did :) And from that I remember, Airplane pt2 was pre-recorded...i think. (ARMY let me know if im wrong)

I noticed early on just how theatrical BTS are with performances and I absolutely love it!
They never just sing and dance. It always includes fashion, a cool theme/vibe, and most importantly the setting is key. BTS along with their amazing team have created true art that will indeed last forever. Look at this performance from 2018!!! Every time a person sees it they are in awe, just like I was, and I LOVE seeing that 😍💜💜💜

About the Fake Love fanchant... the song dropped 2 days (really less for US ARMY because of time zones) before the BBMAs in Las Vegas where they were performing it. ARMY who went to the BBMAs had to study so hard to get that fanchant down. I can still remember staying up late in the hotel room trying to learn the chant. The "Fake Love" part was fairly easy, but the Korean parts weren't so easy. Thankfully K ARMY gave us fanchant videos to guide us. And there was no doubt that the other people in the audience knew they were in the presence of BTS and ARMY. We pretty much took over. I still remember the looks on the faces of unknowing people who happened to be sitting in the midst of a crowd of ARMY (which was pretty much most of the venue). The 2019 BBMAs gave us almost 2 weeks to learn the fanchants - it was much easier.
there's sooo much to unpack in this performance, from the Korean culture references, especially considering this came after them winning BBMAs twice and people started accusing them of being "westernized" and losing their Korean identity. this song was a clap back to all that crtiscim, they received their Daesangs wearing Hanbok (the Korean traditional outfit ). Jimin also received a recognition plaque for his dance, which in itself has a lot to discuss too as it's traditionally performed by women. ofc putting aside all the clues and easter eggs to their BTS Universe storyline.

This was an epic performance, and if you loved this, you'll be blown away by 2019 (or at least I was and still am). The fan chant is what was shown at end of Taylor's video - the guys names starting with Leader, Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, etc. and ends with "BTS". Usually that is done at beginning of concerts, or beginning of segments and I think at end of concerts too. Someone else explained the specific song fan chants (I've not been lucky enough to go to a concert). For Idol, have you watched the Explanation Video by DKDKTV? There is a Lot of Korean symbolism, but there are also some African dance moves in the song. When I first saw it, I was taken way back to the 60's when the Beatles first did a sort of psychedelic movie, Yellow Submarine. Idol is way better though. Of course, technology has changed so much since then. And, Yes, I am That old. lol Enjoyed the reaction and didn't get too annoyed at the breaks, because how can you get annoyed with the cuteness of the boys?!?!

the 3 Js danced into traditional dances, which I think was cool intro for idol..from Korean traditional dance then transitioning to now kpop . Idol should be an anthem to kpop and other groups should be thankful for the guys for releasing a song like this. They are proud and flexing

Regarding Mics, I've noticed that the rapline prefers hand-held mics for performances/songs where they need to go hard and heavy on the rap, you'll notice they nearly always have hand-held mics for songs like idol, mic drop, and I'm fine.
They turn every performance into a concert. Never underestimate Big Hit,they go all out every time

I've seen ppl add clips to avoid copyright, but nowhere close to the amount that you have. I certainly don't mean to criticize unfairly, I'm just hoping that I can still enjoy your reactions. Because I have really enjoyed following your BTS journey so far. And then there's a bunch of reactors that don't add clips in at all, they just pause to talk about the performance several times throughout the performances.
I think they have to add them every 30 seconds so the song doesn’t get copyright. & I noticed they didn’t pause much so that’s why there’s a lot of them. (I used to run a channel before so I know how songs gets copyrighted)
The segment where they disappear it's pre-recorded, Airplane pt 2 is live but it's pre-recorded too (they did do it live on the stage for the fans but the version people saw on tv and on the official video from MMA it's pre-recorded), Fake Love and Idol are 100% live. Every award show that BTS goes to, it just magically becomes a BTS concert lmao
They sing while exercising, running on a treadmill and singing. From what I’ve heard, maybe ARMY can confirm or deny.💜💜💜
The last part of this performance where they win the Billboard Music awards, then transition to "Idol" shows they will always go back to their Korean roots no matter the recognition they get from the west. They showed different kinds of traditional Korean music, costumes and dance. And their outfits are modern takes on the national dress called "hanboks". Try to watch their Idol performance on Jimmy Fallon where they performed in front of the Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul. Always one of my faves!

The Kim Baek Bong Korean Fan Dance Conservation Society, which is an Intangible Cultural Property No.3, has presented Jimin with a plaque of appreciation for his epic Korean fan dance. They wrote, “By having reinterpreted the beautiful Korean fan dance in a unique way, you have made a great contribution in raising the status and aesthetic value of the Korean fan dance globally.”
Also Jimin has recently won a MMA 2022 plaque award for “Best Main Dancer” saying “The best dancer who shook the whole world.”

Award show camera work can be… frustrating lol but even with the weird cuts and zooms it still looks so epic. They really were tired after this but it is still one of their most amazing performances!
On another note, this was 2018 so the year after they received their first international award: 2017 BBMAS Top Social Artist. It was really big news because at the time getting an award outside of Asian countries was ALMOST unheard of. The fandom and country was very proud (at least the ones that knew about it, the media was blocking the news on multiple fronts, something that still happens). So that award speech by RM is literally embedded in our minds and makes us super emotional to hear if you were a fan back then.

More often than not, live stages esp. awards like these don't show the choreographies in all their glory. If you guys did want to see more of the choreos definitely check out their dance practices!! You can really see how talented they all are at dancing and how hard they work! (sometimes you can even hear them breathing hard at the end trying to catch their breath)

i think they win 7 out of 8 nominations (awards that time) that's one of my favorites award show performance. it's mind-blowing, their korean culture, music and instruments. tho, they were exhausted after the performance :(( biggest respect for them for always giving their best in every performances!

This really is a nice way to go about watching their content! I agree, it might be more difficult to understand and appreciate their live performances without knowing some context from watching music videos and reading lyrics. fanchants by koreans are very organised. like they send official fanchants on which part of the song do they say/sing words/phrases. like the fans singing only certain parts of the song or here when armys are chanting "fake love" back in the bg. idk it is very beautiful esp when you hear a stadium full of fans singing. i always love watching concerts in korea
Fun fact, at these awards shows there’s a section for other idols and groups to sit and watch others perform, and at one award show I think it was the 2019 GDA, BTS performed “Idol" and the performance was so powerful that it literally shook where the other groups and idols where sitting💀. There’s videos if you look it up and it literally looks like an earthquake happened😂. Also I think it was from one of their movies, but there’s a scene where BTS is performing, again “IDOL", and it shows a behind the scenes look at the staff and they’re literally MANUALLY HOLDING THE STAGE SO IT DOESN’T COLLAPSE DURING THE PERFORMANCE! That just goes to show you how powerful “IDOL" is as a performance.

When i became an army i started with all of their mv and then live performances. MMA and mama performances just blew my mind away. They are just amazing live and none of their performances are exactly similar. This is one of my fav performances. MMA live performances are just on different level.

You were talking about how they change in between songs, they do infact change quickly especially for concerts/ tour but for performances such as Award shows there are usually songs that are pre recorded live some times with an audience then during that performance they get ready for the next set.
