The visuals to depict certain types of Fake Love are just exceptional. Even though this mv ties into the deeper BTS Universe...at surface level for casual viewers that have not delved into the "storyline"....chefs kiss. 1. Jimin in the flooding room, drowning in desire...desire = fake love. 2. Suga in the room with fire...burning passion...passion = fake love. 3. V with all the cell phones flashing...obsession...obsession = fake love. 4. JHope and the candy bars...chocolate releases the same endorphins in your brain that is released on a larger scale that you feel in the first stages of love known as the "Honeymoon Phase". Chocolate/endorphins = fake love. Real love is much different and goes much deeper than all this. They are such All Round Artists.

One of the first live performances I saw was MMA 2019. It blew my mind. You should definitely check this out...the whole performance. Keep in mind this is an awards show where they won most of the biggest awards.
Because you can't rewatch these for the "first" time, it's just nice - especially as someone who's been an ARMY for a long time now and has seen these music videos and performances so many times - to watch someone take it in for the very first time with "fresh" eyes and be blown away by it.
The thing I really love about this choreography is the symbolism. First the doll mimicry in the chorus - you can almost see the strings attached to them and then when they crash to the floor after the strings get cut. Additionally, throughout the entirety of the choreography, you'll see them cover their eyes/ears/mouth as a representation of see no evil / hear no evil / speak no evil - in fake love, you run away from the truth.
In addition to what @darkvalkyria7 pointed out, the MV connects to BTS Universe. The members portray characters (not themselves) who live in an AU. Not all ARMY go down that rabbit hole, but some of the scenes in this Fake Love MV tie in to that AU. So, there is another level to the MV - and there also are other MVs that tie in to BU.

Its not a concert but MMA 2019 is mindblowing. it is an awards show but they did a 40 min set that is the best live performance I have ever seen. also if you want to see how they film the music videos, there are behind the scenes footage of most of their videos. DANCE PRACTICE. As a director and choreographer I need to explain you aren't watching a dance practice. A real practice is when you learn new choreography and repeat it over and over to memorize it. What you are seeing is the finished product of all the practices. You are seeing the filmed performance before they go to dress rehearsal. And this is the complete choreography for their Stage Performance of this production. They have practiced over and over to this level of perfection. In my opinion, they are The Best Dancers of any group out there ever! Here is a little bit of pertinent history. When they started out the only reason they got to debut is because some other group had to cancel out. Because they were a poor company on the verge of bankrupcy and they weren't part of the 3 biggest agencies, they had no clout. They just had to wait in the wings and hope they would get a chance to debut. Their creator and boss, Mr. Bang, said they would only have this one chance to be noticed as they were new. And they had to outshine everyone else because you only have one chance at a First Impression. So he told them their choreography had to be stunning and mesmerizing and unforgettable. And that's why they created a work ethic of 10 to 12 hours of dance practice a day. They would video themselves so they could see their own mistakes and not just verbally told about their mistakes. They knew visually what needed to be fixed. This group has The Best swift transitions into other positions on stage. They do not have to look behind or sideways to take a step into a new position. They all know that a space will be there for them to step into immediately because they all step at the same time. They learned blind trust of each other. Another plus, their choreographer was so very creative as were their video concept people and art production and technical staff. You are right. They are so impressive. They make mini movies that are breathtaking!
Its muscle memory, they practice 16 hours a day, kpop idols practice so much that there muscles remember the steps and automatically react to the music. There are some great moments that have been shared of other kpop artist where the music starts and they involuntary started the movements associated with the music.

No one looking around to see if they are in the correct position. No one looking around to make sure they won’t trip over another member. They remember the things like ‘take 3 small steps here, one large step there’ just to get in the right place on time. It blows my mind how precise they are.

They are totally in their wheelhouse when they perform live!! These boys work 18 hr days to perfect their routines. They do not lip sync and create their videos themselves ! They are multi mega talented. For me, they are like the perfect pizza ,all the ingredients are needed, but when they’re all put together, the flavor is outstanding ! It’s a once in a lifetime combination of raw talent, deep sacrifice ,genuine humbleness , plus a great love sprinkled with grit , passion and a never give up attitude!!! God truly blessed them but also us , as well!! Music is breath and life it can move you to places you can’t go on your own! Music is a source of strength and joy!! Fake Love was the song that started my BTS journey. It spoke to me about my relationship with my family, and I felt like they were speaking my story and my heartbreak. This is the piece that cinched me too, guys!
Even after all these years, I'm still amazed at how amazing this song is. I don't know if you noticed the message with the three wise monkeys - see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil - in the choreography. They cover their ears, mouth and eyes. You see how scary it is when you are not yourself. When you become someone else to please your loved one. This is not true love. The basis is self-love. Only then can you love someone else who likes you for who you are. Check out the live performance of this song. It's amazing how they dance and sing at the same time. It's years and years of training. And yes - it's all real - the water pouring over Jimin - look at how his shirt is swaying....
I don’t know if anyone has said this or not but at 6:33 the writing “Save Me”, is the name of one of their other songs but due to the way it’s written, if you flip it upside down it becomes “I’m Fine” which is the name of one of their other songs too😅

DANCE PRACTICE. As a director and choreographer I need to explain you aren't watching a dance practice. A real practice is when you learn new choreography and repeat it over and over to memorize it. What you are seeing is the finished product of all the practices. You are seeing the filmed performance before they go to dress rehearsal. And this is the complete choreography for their Stage Performance of this production. They have practiced over and over to this level of perfection. In my opinion, they are The Best Dancers of any group out there ever! Here is a little bit of pertinent history. When they started out the only reason they got to debut is because some other group had to cancel out. Because they were a poor company on the verge of bankrupcy and they weren't part of the 3 biggest agencies, they had no clout. They just had to wait in the wings and hope they would get a chance to debut. Their creator and boss, Mr. Bang, said they would only have this one chance to be noticed as they were new. And they had to outshine everyone else because you only have one chance at a First Impression. So he told them their choreography had to be stunning and mesmerizing and unforgettable. And that's why they created a work ethic of 10 to 12 hours of dance practice a day. They would video themselves so they could see their own mistakes and not just verbally told about their mistakes. They knew visually what needed to be fixed. This group has The Best swift transitions into other positions on stage. They do not have to look behind or sideways to take a step into a new position. They all know that a space will be there for them to step into immediately because they all step at the same time. They learned blind trust of each other. Another plus, their choreographer was so very creative as were their video concept people and art production and technical staff. You are right. They are so impressive. They make mini movies that are breathtaking!

Its muscle memory, they practice 16 hours a day, kpop idols practice so much that there muscles remember the steps and automatically react to the music. There are some great moments that have been shared of other kpop artist where the music starts and they involuntary started the movements associated with the music.
During an interview with Beats 1, RM opened up about the true meaning of "Fake Love" and how it actually fits into a bigger story that the group is trying to tell through their music. "Basically, our albums are like a four-part series; [the series] is about love. So [Love Yourself: Tear] is part three and it's like a turning point. What amazes me about the choreography is their formations. No one looking around to see if they are in the correct position. No one looking around to make sure they won’t trip over another member. They remember the things like ‘take 3 small steps here, one large step there’ just to get in the right place on time. It blows my mind how precise they are.

They are totally in their wheelhouse when they perform live!! These boys work 18 hr days to perfect their routines.
They do not lip sync and create their videos themselves ! They are multi mega talented.
For me, they are like the perfect pizza ,all the ingredients are needed, but when they’re all put together, the flavor is outstanding !
It’s a once in a lifetime combination of raw talent, deep sacrifice ,genuine humbleness , plus a great love sprinkled with grit , passion and a never give up attitude!!!

Even after all these years, I'm still amazed at how amazing this song is. I don't know if you noticed the message with the three wise monkeys - see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil - in the choreography. They cover their ears, mouth and eyes. You see how scary it is when you are not yourself. When you become someone else to please your loved one. This is not true love. The basis is self-love. Only then can you love someone else who likes you for who you are. Check out the live performance of this song. It's amazing how they dance and sing at the same time. It's years and years of training. And yes - it's all real - the water pouring over Jimin - look at how his shirt is swaying....

They use a lot of old stories, books, and usually have the members playing real characters from those stories. Thank you for this, guys! FYI you can watch the shooting sketch (behind the scenes) of the mvs you've already watch. It'll blow you away that they dont use CGI on most of ther videos (at least before the pandemic era). And yes, to answer your question, that is real water. And even that part where JK was running as the steps were breaking down, that was real too. The set is freakin awesome.

THIS is insane. another level. look at me, i’m argentinian, maybe im more into latin music, i love michael jackson… i don’t know, i never thought listening to korean people to be honest. they are legends, so special. so much discographies and effort in their career. im never tired of saying that they are so underrated. every bts song its a whole word and you can see their love in every piece. ❤
