This needs to be very clear: I completely “borrowed” all the elements in my list from Cataa and Tekomander, who both gave me advice on it. They will tear it up through the top 16 with better versions of what I brought. I in the other hand, have never used VC before, hence the name of the list 😂
This will be a very interesting tournament as people can literally just take what they want as models. As a lizardmen player that list is interesting - 3 carnasaurs, NO magic and a fuckload of skinks with javelins. Skaven :59 plague monks whaaaaaaaat
Give full points at first death.. SImple as.. for the Green knight.. Allso this is pretty much my list for VC but I have less blood knights but add 1 3man unit of vargheists for the 360 defensive charge for what ever I want to protect..
My poor High Elves, lowest turnout of the supported factions, GW see how you've massacred my boy! Fascinating meta shift, honestly how do you deal with these gigantic blocks of cheap infantry? Especially if they have fanatics and bows!
That TK list is mind-boggling... The main unit has 183 25mm models, 3 characters on chariots (with a footprint of 8 25mm models per chariot) and 3 wizards... That's 210 25mm bases in 1 unit... It has to be 15 models wide or it's in Marching Column... I also find it strange that the Royal Herald's bodyguard rule works in a challenge. In 8th edition they even specifically mentioned that it doesn't work in a challenge, why they left that out in TOW is beyond me.
Yeah it's pretty spicy! I think we're still in the testing stages of working out how large that unit needs to go honestly, I think 180+ might be a tad more than needed
I really can't understand how the free reform can be useful in such a large unit, you still have the limit of how far a model can move during a manoeuvre are 8" enough to turn this unit? 180 models unit, this is very incredible! Personally I would never have been able to imagine it, i still play with a lot of small units as was meta in 7th edition
@@CloseOrder I wonder if the next stage of the meta may be what counters these types of units? Isn't the answer, well, normal Warhammer? Multi charging an MMU list into it would grind it down pretty well. One thing I think TO's are doing that will really help reduce the popularity of these extreme lists is they're ranking based on wins rather than TP's. These lists are great at getting 4 20-0's but will at some stage run into a hard counter and get 20-0 themselves. I think people will gradually move towards lists that can 13-7 everyone else to get those 5 wins.
@@TheKApsFast if it's banner of desert wind like written then it's reserve move+vanguard. But pretending it was the free reform banner, you're right and they couldn't use it very well since the maximum double movement is 14" after a max roll will be done.
Can't run multiple Tomes of Furion, DE and HE have the non-EC version of the Spell Familiar Chaos and Vampires get. I guess Elves don't know how to mass produce items like undead and Chaos? I also had the same thoughts regarding the Fellblade Warlord, but I hadn't considered the slippery nature of the character within a unit when I asked Anubis about it. The Wood Elf hawk list just looks like its asking to be turned into fried chicken by a Chaos magic machine gun list.
That's a very good point, I guess I'd just assume it was the same of the rest! I see an Anubis list and I trust it works ahah, the man knows Skaven! The WE list has some hard counters for sure (although Evasive helps) but outside of those match ups it seems super fun!
@@Jimbo818 nope if you look at the list it’s 140 archers and 43 warriors (the 40 is sandwiched between the champ and whatnot, all of which are warriors)
@@necroprince2098 ahh it was the guy on the left other video where he was saying 10 spears 100 or so archers. Getting the two mixed up. Wonder why not just go max archers though and whack something behind them to stop GG.
@@CloseOrder ah, cool! slightly easier to fit between terrain than i thought. excited to see how it performs, giving up level 4s just seems so painful.
I played against that TK list round 1. It was rough. My helblasters and cannons just couldn't keep up damage output and multi charging flanks and rear couldn't cause enough combat res. Still a good game but man at least buy me dinner ad rinks before you do that to me 😂
As the best Wood Elves player of all Argentina, I say the WE list you show here is sooo bad xD, with all due respect. Excellent video tho! Cheeers from Buenos Aires!
More Val colabs! It’s what the people want.
Dude is hilarious ! and informative
Val is such a good guy he only broke his own record, instead of risking upsetting someone else by breaking theirs ❤️

The Lizardmen list is basically what I've seen the only in-person lizardmen player I know play - although I think he prefers Stegs to Bastilladons
Best thumbnail 😂😂
Virtually immpossible bring down a dragon rider with poison. I agree with Val.
I'm glad my abyssal terror evangelism has been catching on
Yeah I don't know how I missed it for so long!
I think it took a couple of us being loud to get some attention (Cataa)
You handing me my undead head in our pickup game inspired me to try the AT vamp :p
Dessert wind banner on TK gives vanguard and reserve move
Hi, this is Adam from the chaos list breakdown. I’m happy to talk Chosen Knights anytime!
Sweet! I'll take you up on that.
Are you on Discord?

I noticed the rule of 3 is not used in S bot? Is it rule of 6?
Thanks! There's rule of 3, or rule of 6 for core

Wonder why the TK player bothered with Phalanx for the cohort, only 10 shields in there so would disappear first combat round. Only 10pts I guess
There is infact 43 shields with all those warriors in there if I’m reading it right, so yea he can afford phalanx

Yeah there's a chunk of spears - Denarius' version goes light on spears and heavy on bows
Can the giant tomb king unit do a reform? Would they not end up moving more than double move?
So they can reform, but yes you'd have to be considerate of where your models finish their move.
Tmp is the obvious answer here!
so that tk unit is what, 400mm across the front to stay out of marching column? lmao
About 300-350, depending on how many models you settle on.
120 & 3 chariots fits in 12*12, 145 & 3 chariots fits in 13*13 etc
