      I was thinking about doing a Yes Style order for some skin care and some lip products. I do put SPF behind my ears most of the time, but when I know I'm going to be outside in direct sunlight, I do coat my ears. Do you have any recommendations from K Beauty?

      @@erintaylorwrites yes definitely, i'm a yesstyle rat, my favrouite oils are beplain and man:yo, though skin 1004 and haru haru wonder are worth checking out as well. 200ml lasts me usually about to 3-4 months and I do share it with my mom. I could talk about my recommendations for hours, but since you mentioned lip products the newest "glasting color gloss" from romand is so good the formula is so nice on the lips, very moisturizing, when it comes to tints i recommend colorgram fruity glass tints for a strong stain with vibrant colours, for something more muted my choice would be romand glasting WATER tint (the names are really important because theyre similar, but the juciy lasting tints are amzing as well), if youre looking for a melting balm type of product the romand are really hyped but I'd actually skip them, theyre patchy and gloopy in that department I'd lean into the recent dasique ones or a classic flortte!! if you have any questions please ask away I'd love to help!!

    I would think twice with $15 shipping, but I dont lust after eyeshadow like some others and know there are other considerations that other people make. I would probably try to dupe it out of my own collection first or think hard about the % of shadows i would be willing to use up. Great update!

    • @erintaylorwrites
      @erintaylorwrites  4 месяца назад

      The shipping cost was hard to swallow, but the discount code I used pretty much covered it. I also understand that smaller businesses have to charge shipping.
      I love that you thinking about a % of pans to declutter to bring in new shades. I don't think I could dupe out the Cold Moon from my current collection since I don't go for cool tones often and most of the shimmers in the palette are multi chromes. I am glad I tried the formula, but I think I need to adjust my exceptions about shipping with indie brands or just order during sales.

    You should try the peach and slices azelic acid serum. I used it all the way up late last year. It helped with my normal breakouts - during the time I used it I didn't get any deep painful zits. I only get some surface level zits anymore. It is fantastic.

    I'm so tempted by the Flower Moon palette by Einsley Raine, but between the palette and shipping to Ireland I just can't justify it. It would be around 100 euro! The last time I spent that much on makeup I had received a little windfall and treated myself to an Hourglass face palette, which I ended up decluttering to my mother because it didn't suit my skin tone. That one stung! Just wondering why your eyeshadow category has -1 in the decluttered column?

    • @erintaylorwrites
      @erintaylorwrites  4 месяца назад

      Oh goodness! I can't even imagine international shipping!!! Even shipping from Lethal in Germany isn't that much!
      In the eyeshadow category, I have a -1 because I re-cluttered the ColourPop Super Shock in Birthday Girl (the one I "repressed" and brought back to life). I had decluttered it at the end of last year but then when the repressing worked, I put it back I my collection. ☺️

      @@erintaylorwrites yes shipping is mad usually. I just ordered Alter Ego's Wildwood palette because I've lusted after the Yucca palette since it was released. That cost me 22 euro for the palette and 17 euro shipping. Still a lot but not anywhere in the region of the cost to get the Natasha Denona one shipped to me. Holo Taco has great international shipping. I wish they sold makeup too 🤣🤣 Thanks for clarifying about the eyeshadow category. I've definitely undeclutterel a few items in my time 🙂

      Hey! Thanks for asking! In my main inventory I count a palette as one product, but also single potted shadows like Super Shocks, also as one product. But in my spreadsheets, I also have how many shadows are in each palette so I know my total number of shadows. ❤

    • @erintaylorwrites
      @erintaylorwrites  4 месяца назад

      The shadows are beautiful, but you are right...we "vote" with our dollars, so if so many people are passing on buying because of the price/shipping, maybe indie brands will change things up. I stand by my idea that smaller palettes than maybe more people would buy since it is hard to let go of $100 for colored powders.

    I use the elf cleansing balm but I go thru it fast. I am so wanting to order from Ensley reign, maybe if they have a good sale they're so pricy. Good month for you overall

    • @erintaylorwrites
      @erintaylorwrites  4 месяца назад +1

      They are pricey, and the shadows are beautiful, but I think there would need to be another color story that blew my socks off to order again. There are so many other indie brands I want to try.
      And I never wanted to try the ELF cleansing balm because there is so little product in the tub. The Clinique Jumbo is $7.91 per oz and the ELF is $5.43 per oz. I got the Clinique on sale for $4.47 per oz, so I think that is a better deal and one Jumbo is the size of two of the ELF lager sizes, so maybe less packaging? 😅 Maybe I am just making excuses for my favorite products.

    • @flawedfabulous
      @flawedfabulous 4 месяца назад

      @@erintaylorwrites no I agree, actually watching you made me think about things, like yeah it might cost more, but it's it better quality and how long will it last. Like say I but elf eyebrow pencil I can go thru it in a month or so, but I got the precisely my brows in a giveaway and I've been using it for 5 months. So in this situation I'm not really saving by buying the elf. I started my collection with quantity in mind, now I just want a curated collection I love and know. I will one day buy Ensley right now tho I'm working on getting this makeup to homes who will use it. I would like my beauty room to hold more than makeup in drawers. I mean it is insane to think I have over 3000 products.. sometimes I say who bought this insanity🤣 but I get finding something that works and stick with it.

    So I have a really bad problem with certain textures. I have oily skin (all over honestly), so the process of putting body lotion on makes me want to crawl out of my skin. Does body oil feel significantly different? Does it take a long time to sink in? That was my other complaint with body lotion, I don't have time to just sit somewhere while it sinks in or the desire to take a long time to massage it in.

    • @erintaylorwrites
      @erintaylorwrites  4 месяца назад

      I like the body oil better than body creams/butters. I ended up picking up the Palmer's Coconut Oil Body Oil ($7.68) and the Dr. Teals Shea Butter Body Oil ($5.87), mixed the two, and it smells like the Bum Bum cream!! The body oil goes on so smooth and sinks in, but my skin still feels a little oily for a while, but not in a way where my clothes are sticking weird to me. I only use it at night on my arms and chest and I will wear it on my legs during the day.
      Maybe try one of the two I mentioned so that you aren't spending a bunch of money on a high end one. I am a total convert to body oils now! I have not touched my body butter in months!
