  • I was thinking about using Jiyan, Danjin or Chixia for my next Solo Hologram Challenge, but that got me thinking why not Rover. Havoc is really strong and I want to build it anyway, also he can fight all the bosses in the game since he can switch elements to Spectro to fight Heron and Crownless. Thats when I got the all too familiar feeling that building Spectro Rover is an absolute waste of resources. I have had this view ever since I first played Genshin and now it feels like Im going to have the same problem again in Wuthering Waves. This is purely my point of view, I don't expect people to agree with me or support me but I wanted to get it off my chest nonetheless and present a better way (in my opinion) Rovers Forte skill levels could work.

    I absolutely agree! I'd take needing to level up Rover's skill but only once and then the rest applies to all elements. I hope it's the same for genshin and HSR as well.

    Simple solution
    Lock Current Rover echoes when switching to a new Rover
    Also reduces costs for levels and skills
    I pray they do implement this

    the lock out thing is really a problem, Rover is basically my actual main, so I like that he can be 2 elements, so I can dodge the Resistence problem more or less. But I do think is a issue we cant use him in more them one team, but I understand why, he would be basically a mandatory unit to level if he had a separate energy for each element. ( I would like that tho ).
    For me the major issue is that there is no loadout System, I hate swapping Echos around 🤣

      I've thought about that too but I do think seperate energy for each element would be too powerful. If you could put him in as many parties as he has elements, he would be too universal. So I agree with you, he would be a mandatory unit.
      I only have a problem with the resourse requirement per element, if you build both spectro and havoc, its like you spent 1.5x the resourses it takes to build 1 character to get 2 characters but you can only use 1 of those 2 characters at a time (1.5x because Character Leveling you only need to do once but Forte needs to be leveled per element and is more expensive than Character Leveling). I'd rather put those resourses into another unit that doesn't have that restriction.

    I have a far hotter take in that I don't really like the whole MC switching elements thing to begin with. Everything else aside, the need to switch their artifacts/echoes if you ever switch their alignment, without any load function especially, is just such a huge hassle. I just think this was never a good setup in Genshin, and Wuwa copying it is......... just not great.
    This is already an annoying problem in Genshin, where I don't have Nahida, so Dendro traveler is literally the best off field dendro option. If I want to use Anemo traveler for something? Too bad, have fun teleporting to a statue and then switching all their gear. Do I want to use Geo traveler with Navia? Teleport, dialogue, switch gear again. God forbid you forget to do this before going into Abyss.

      That's fair enough, I kinda agree with you. I can't understand why the developers who I guarantee know players want loadouts for this reason, decide it's not worth implementing day 1. I mean, that's an easy win and it's something that's gonna keep more players happy who are currently playing, but it's not a big enough QOL to bring lost players back to the game if they add it later down the line. Don't get me wrong, WuWa has a lot of more important issues to solve at present but things like this feel like they would be pretty straight forward to implement and shouldn't take long to do so. I haven't been playing recently but if Genshin still hasn't added this, they have no excuse and needing to 1 have Traveler in the party, 2 Traveler is the current active character and 3 having to go to a statue in the right region to switch has always been bullshit.
      The forgetting to switch gear back before doing abyss is a real pain. I totally haven't done that before. (Press X to doubt)

      @@unsoughtspace 5.0 livestream was last night, and loadouts are still nowhere to be seen. Of course, I still lol a little about the fact that resetting skill cooldowns when you restart an abyss floor took 3+ years to implement. Genshin QOLs are a neverending mystery.

    What I would do is have a gear on Honkai, Genshin and Wuthering designed for Elemental switching. Call it Adaptative Gear, the gear wont be as strong as a normal elemental set but it will be strong by those utilizing multiple elements. Why should the player be punished for wanting to use all elementals its absurd.

    • @unsoughtspace
      @unsoughtspace  Месяц назад

      I somewhat agree and disagree. Your right though, the player shouldn't be punished for wanting to use all the elements and I think adaptive gear is a fine idea as long as the stats can change to whatever the character scales with, like Destruction Trailblazer doesn't scale off break effect as well as Harmony does so the stats would have to change to accommodate, otherwise you're back to square one and have to get new gear anyway.
      However you can kinda have a universal set in Wuthering Waves with Lingering Tunes, the only problem with that set is the Mech doesn't do raw damage and instead does Electro so if an enemy is resistant to Electro, that echo sucks so you would need to have a 3 or 1 cost echo on Lingering Tunes that you would use as your echo skill, or in future another 4 cost Lingering Tunes boss with a different damage element. It wouldn't be optimal but if you run both 3 costs with atk%, as long as Rover scales off atk, that should be a universal set that will work on every Rover element in future. It would also be a set that might not be BIS but can be moved onto the vast majority of dps characters in the game for the other zones in ToA. This would be very far from a characters max potential though and should only be used when you don't have better gear.
