Barbie from Aliexpress :D... How good are heads and body in person?

- This review and styling is for 3 original Mattel Barbie heads with alternative rooting, 1 Barbie fake retro head + matching Mengf body.
ATM the prices are way higher than what I have paid for... but this store usually has sales every few weeks. Of course you also can use the product pictures in order to find better deals ;)

I stumbled upon these some time ago and was really surprised by the quality when I got the head... Since I really liked the first one, I also ordered a 2nd one^^
And I think I have even found a better fitting body for it. But I wanted to wait putting everything together on camera and so far I had no time for it 🙃 I think that's the struggle of YT. You simply want to share every find 😅
@@Endollphins I didn’t buy any of the bodies, thinking I had some body donors that would work. The body color clashes so bad 😆 She’s definitely gonna need full-body clothing 😂
Yes, these girls are sooo pale 😅 I wouldn't mind a little bit of color variety. But for a clone head, it really has a nice quality 😁
All three dolls look great but like you said the fake headed Barbie with the vintage look really outshines them, she is so stunning. Very tempted to give this a go myself.

@@Endollphins I've put a body and a head in my basket (along with the 50 other items that are always in there), so I can keep an eye on the prices. I like the look of the one with grey hair and the pink haired one.
🤣🤣🤣 That is what we all do, right? Impulsive purchases on Aliexpress are never good 🫠... just fill up the basket rethink the choices and wait for better prices. That is always my motto 😁

She's more high quality than most dolls nowadays. Just add eyelashes and she'd look limited edition

I know, I have an unpopular opinion here... but I don't like rooted or applied lashes on painted eyes. I do like them on inserted eyes, just not on dolls with painted-on eyes 😅
Always love your styling and I have one of the vintage fake bodies and they are great with a barbie head too .. love their hands so posable and classic.

The hands are a very BIG plus!!! So far, I didn't put a Mattel head on the Mengf body. Only on Mizi so far, plus the Mengf hands 😅... but I will try a Barbie head on the Mengf body for a video. Maybe I'll like it 😆 I just will have to find the right one^^
Thank you for this video, I have had my eye on the red head and the Barbie vintage repro head. I wasn't sure what the quality was like but what you show is making me more confident to buy them. The body is very nice, I haven't even looked at these because of the price but maybe I will try to reproduce your Vintage Barbie repro to add to my collection. I have a lot of the original 1960 dolls and the repros but your version would be a fun addition.

I will upload a new video on Sunday, including another repro head. And I will show another body that I think is even a better match in style. But this one is also not cheap and therefore I want to show a cheaper alternative as well^^
I didn't expect that this head would also be interesting for collectors that already have the real deal or more pricy reproductions 😅
But I can totally understand when it comes to a clone head that the body should be on the cheaper side. After the video, you will know more about the alternatives for these heads 😆... I now have the blond and the pink haired one and I think I want more 🤣
This blond doll reminds me the Arabian horse. Both looks kind of weird but everyone admire it😅.

I will do a video more in depths about the different options in model and color of the Mengf bodies but also about the Kissmela and JHD Toys Mizi replacement body. It will take around 2 weeks, because I don't have so much time this week. But it is in the making 😉

I don't want to force you to buy from Aliexpress. It is not optimal for most of the time, and I also had quite some negative experiences with sellers from the website. But of course I know that many people (like me) shop there since in their own region or country is not a lot interesting doll stuff available. But honestly, if you're able to get nice stuff in your region you simply don't need to buy from Aliexpress 😁
Ur videos are always so interesting...I dont see any other doll content creators doing these types of videos...I am not too familiar with these articulated bodies but may have to look into them...u also featured fashionista 95 who is without a doubt one of my fav all.time dolls...I have several.of her on curvy and standard mtm bodies and shes just such a cool doll. I was gonna post a pic of her here but I dont think I can...anyways awesome video as always. I also purchased my second mini brands fashion series 3 ball and got the same damn heart purse...just my luck lol.

I try to find my way doing interesting content without copying others. Here in Germany it's not so easy to get your hands on all the new or interesting doll stuff... So maybe that's the main reason my content is different 🤣
I think I will have to hunt down Fashionista 95... I really like her og look a lot. Maybe I can get her for an ok price. Wish me luck 😁
It is sad that you already got a duplicate directly with the 2nd ball! That is really unfortunate... I still really like the heart purse, but it is simply not an easy to style piece.
@@Endollphins recovery has been going pretty well. Slowly but surely I am getting better...thanks for asking..yep 95 is def worth looking for...just a very unique doll...I always dress her in something alternative or sporty lol...

I think the sporty or alternative style is the best way to underline the overall look from Fashionista 95. She is really special, but in a good way. At least I now have her with red hair and I also like this variant. The faceprint is so pretty^^

I like the short-haired red head from all of the ones that you bought. The outfits are cute the way you styled them. I watch your channel often, but I wish that you would stop having the music behind your voice. It's difficult to hear you and the music is distracting. I am not being mean just trying to let you know it might be better without it. You have a nice soothing voice, so I don't think background music is necessary. I love watching how you create the styles that you dress your dolls in. Just my thoughts so please don't be mad at me. Take care.😀

I use the background music mainly because so far I'm not confident in talking English and I still feel awkward hearing my own voice... but it is getting better^^

Yes, all of these girls are way taller than mtm. I think I will start filming the video next week, but it always takes some time to finish a video like that. But I think it is a good idea to show them in detail... Sometimes doll hybrids can be fun^^

Unfortunately, the dress is not from Aliexpress. It is from a seamstress who sells on Ebay. The shop is called Only4dolls. But atm she rarely sells a lot 😢

With the black haired Barbie I would maybe try to paint over her eyebrows with black to match the hair

In the past I repainted dolls, especially resin BJDs. But just painting over an existing face print is no option for me. I simply don't like the look of that in general. But thank you for the tip 😊

I think usually you can put up to 100 items in the cart 😅 But there is also a wishlist option. In terms of Temu, I have no clue 😆... I don't buy from them since I'm not a fan of the app. So far, I still enjoy online shopping on my pc^^
