Ariel looks amazing on her new Made To Move body. And it's cool how Amazon put the BMR Kira on sale which is such a bargain. However, I just wish Amazon put the other BMR Dolls on sale.
You are a brave man, I can't take off any dolls heads it's silly but I feel so bad for the dolls. I bought a used ILY 4EVER Inspired by Jasmine, to take off her head to put her body on my Sailor Moon doll. Am holding Jasmine in my hand I couldn't do it!! Am a big chicken when it comes to customizing any doll.
I didn't know the MTM Barbies have a difference in their shades depending on when they are made. It's good information because I usually have to order the MTM dolls online from where I am in Canada. Also, they cost around $25, so I want to make sure I get a good match. I also watch Faith Elene's videos for skin tone comparisons.
1:39 I'm a little confused by these modern dolls. I grew up in the late 80s and during the 90s and my favourite doll was the Tyco Little Mermaid Ariel and she had articulation in the head, the shoulders, the waist, the legs and the knees. Modern dolls seem to have whether have maximal articulation (like in the ellbows, wrists, ankles) or minimal articulation like the Ariel described in the video... I bought for example the Live Action The Little Mermaid Vanessa doll and I was surprised she couldn't bend her knees, because dolls of the 80s and 90s mostly could. Thanks for the video anyway, it was really interesting.
She looks so beautiful! I really love the new faces of Disney Princesses made by Mattel. Especially Ariel, they captured her character very well. The bright red hair, blue eyes, and her red lips. So adorable! She got even more beautiful with the MTM body. I think her closest match out all of the MTM dolls would be the Kira from BMR First Wave. She has the yellowish skintone just like the Mattel Ariel. The second option is the MTM yoga curvy red hair, she has also that kinda yellowish skintone.
Wow! This was a detailed instructional body swap, skin tone match. Thanks! Like that you demonstrated the preparation before and after the body swap. Great job! Love the swap. Now, I'm going to try.😅 Hopefully it will turn out like yours😊 Like the skin tone selections😊
Hey Chad :) another awesome video. You know so many techniques on how to customize all kinds of different dolls it’s very interesting and thanks for sharing! When I saw the Barbie with the Malibu hoodie… I’m suddenly so obsessed with that hoodie lol… 😅 I think it’s the colour and I think I’m a sucker for anything that says Malibu 🌴 AND OMG I’m so excited for you to get the new live action Ariel doll 😭 I can’t wait!
The new Mattel 2023 Ariel (body sculpt especially with the 2 in 1 deluxe two clothing doll) goes wonderfully next to the Disney store Ariel that wasn't listed made by Hasbro in 2018 that was "made to move!" The low articulated Ariel can be fixed by head swap the cheapest 2023 Ariel doll with "paint on dress" torso onto a modern day same skin color "made to move" approximate. So far because Ariel's yellowish peach white skin color doesn't match with the more reddish white peach skin color "made to move" Barbies a more expensive articulated body comes from Mattel's $29.99 USD line vs it's $15.99-16.99 USD only four different skin toned Barbies. I plan to buy for the head a cheapest 2023 Ariel and having to hunt down that $29.99 articulated yellowish peach skin tone most matching dolls.
For live action Ariel I think the two possible skin tones are Barbie Looks 7 or the new 15. Both are petite (doesn't it look like live action Ariel is also petite? I don't know). For original size, I'd try the orange top or the soccer player, both difficult to find. I think the skin tone of Ariel live action from the Disney Store is similar too... We won't know until we see the dolls in person 😋
@@mimimeow2217 You could definitely make it work, but it would not be a perfect match. Ariel has a slightly more yellow undertone to her skin, but it is similar to that fashionista.
I dont know why people buy really expensive collector style barbies to Body Swap i look for the onsale MTM I have had excellent luck with the Asian tennis player as well as the AA basketball player getting them on sale for 10 bucks lol i mean I guess if your goal is perfect skin tone but I would rather save 20 bucks
It varies from doll to doll most of the time it's the head not fitting properly on the neck. It could be that the head's neck hole is too big, the neck peg that's attached to the body could be too long or too loose... It could be something else
@@chealsea_zpt2878 you are able to boil wash saran hair without damaging it. I do not have a tutorial specifically for this, but other people do on RUclips.

The hoodie that says Malibu is from a Ken fashion pack from several years ago
"We're talking about the fish girl, not the cat girl" 😂
Very useful video! Your Ariel looks stunning 🌊🧜♀️🌴🧜♂️🔱
Ok l like the new body sculpt for Disney princess dolls, but I wish they put more articulation on them tho😢

Can use a curvy made to move doll that's what my froggy stuff did😮
Yeah, i wasn't able to get that particular one for the skin tone match at the time, but I believe it's the red top yoga one
Please compare Ariel doll and flounder with this doll
It will mean a lot
Ariel shouldnt be that dark ariel is actually lighter than snowhite ,she should be mutch lighter
Hello! I wanted to know your opinion, Would this Ariel doll be a good match with Barbie Fashionista #165
@@mimimeow2217 You could definitely make it work, but it would not be a perfect match. Ariel has a slightly more yellow undertone to her skin, but it is similar to that fashionista.

is there a way i can replace the jointed doll body from a mother gothel doll with a new doll body?

When the doll's head is loose, where is the damage? Is it on the body of the doll or on the head?
It varies from doll to doll most of the time it's the head not fitting properly on the neck. It could be that the head's neck hole is too big, the neck peg that's attached to the body could be too long or too loose... It could be something else
Does anyone know which made to move doll matches disney classic Tiana?
