I didn't know her real story!! It's really sad :c but you made her so beautiful and kind-looking, everyone will fall in love with her!!
Anytime I watch one of your doll customs, the word that comes to mind is "exquisite" - they're just so ornate and detailed! My favorite part is her tail. I actually used to have that original blue doll tail that the fins came from (3:19). I always loved dressing my dolls as mermaids and genies and princesses.
In the version of the Little Mermaid I heard, the ending was different. Because the Little Mermaid refused to slay the prince, she was rewarded with a soul for her selflessness. So when she died, her body turned to sea foam, but her soul went to Heaven. (Even had an angel escort, if I recall correctly.) It still ended with her dying, but it made her death less meaningless.
That said, I'm not a super huge fan of Disney's version, either. Ariel makes bad choice after bad choice - lying, sneaking, defying her father, and endangering the entire underwater kingdom when he trades his own life for her contract, giving Ursula his crown and trident - and things still turn out rosy for her at the end. It's like the opposite of a morality tale... But there's no denying she's beautiful, and Disney's animators brought the underwater world to vivid life with their skill, so I still think of it as a classic film.

I have also heard many other versions of the mermaid but I think the ending when she melts into a sponge is the best ending, because as you know life is not easy at all. All of our bad decisions come with a price. and I love this fact, it's cruel but realistic
I think its because they made it after a true redhead we are stubborn hard headed and our daddys love us enough to destroy themselves to save us my dad did anyways, I love and miss my dad so much I made bad decisions or hard ones not in my best intrest but so far in the end my life has been beautiful same story as ariel I was in a wrong place wrong time but I survived

Now that’s what you expect Princess Ariel to look like.She’s exquisite and so beautifully bejewelled throughout .I love all her sparkle on her tail and top ..The tiara you made for her is really spectacular and finish es her off perfectly.Little Mermade has always been one of my favourite films of Disney’ .It’s the first time that they animated the hair in strands as it was blowing in the wind .But I have to admit your Ariel is the best I have seen yet 🥰

Absolutely stunning! The little mermaid is one of my favorite characters. I’ve heard a version of the little mermaid where before she is turned to sea foam wind maidens turn her into one of them where after several years of service they are aloud to have an eternal soul. As tragic as some people think the original is I honestly believe the little mermaid’s tail is beautiful. I think it takes courage to be willing to explore the unknown. Love is just a great motivator.

One of the biggest reasons I dislike Disney is because they don't tell the TRUE fairy tales. Every story they "remake" is untrue to the original. I love that you told her true story and made her into something so beautiful! While I have to agree that the bead work and everything you do is amazing, I think the thing that makes your creations so heart stopping is YOU. Thats bc Disney is mostley aimed towards kids and therefor need to change the stories to fit younger audience. Most of HC Andersen's and Grimm's fairy tales are not suited for younger audience as they are often very tragic and groesome. Sleeping Beauty was SA:ed multiple times by a king that passed by her sleeping body and only woke up bc one of the twins she later gave birth to, sucked out the splint from her finger. Not a story a kid should watch.
One could argue that the orginals are untrue to the orginals
I understand why Disney had to edit the script because it would be more suitable for children. in Vietnam we also have a lot of good fairy tales, should I make fairy dolls and tell them stories?

For Disney, it's all about $$$$. If the main character dies (Little Mermaid, Hunchback of Notre Dame), how can you make sequels? The original stories were usually morality tales where death (going to Heaven) is the ultimate reward as well as punishment (going to Hell).

I make clothing, and many fabrics like you used for the fin you can cut out with a wood burning tool. That will seal the edge. Im not sure about the exact fabric you used, but give it a try!

I'm so excited for the live action Halle Bailey definitely has the voice and mannerisms for Ariel. She's so pretty. 🧜🏾♀️💖👸🏾 She definitely has Disney princess vibes. Also within the Hans Christian Andersen tale, another version it was mentioned that God took pity on her and transformed the sea foam to light summer breezes to cool children in the summers.

That's the opposite way of speaking to today's youth. For example, the trend on tiktok is that you wear a gorgeous evening dress to take out the trash, or dress up in fancy clothes to clean the house.
