My wife and I moved to AZ in 2000. When we go back to our home town to visit they still ask if we would ever think off moving back, and this video shows you what our answer is. I love this drive. Salt River Canyon is the Little Grand Canyon, as we call it. We love that we can leave our house in the desert and can be in Ponderosa Pines and snow in a few hours. Even after all these years, sometimes it feels we are still on vacation, even when we are driving our normal routes from point A to point B. So much beauty and the best sunrises and sunsets you'll ever see, with 50 mile views.
Thanks for this fantastic video!
We moved out west a few years ago from the Midwest and that’s exactly how we feel as well. There’s just endless natural beauty and places to explore here and we’ll never be able to see it all. Definitely no plans for us to move back east either. Thanks for your comment!
Arizona Rocks!!
Agreed!
Always THRILLED for a new driving video! Thank you. I'm enjoying it very much!👌
Happy to hear it! Thanks for watching!
Nothing simple about this Beautiful Drive Gods Beautiful Handyword So Amazing Beautiful Spectacular Thank You For the ☀️ Ride
Agreed! The scenery is so stunning throughout that whole region! 💙
When visiting my grandparents in Arizona years ago, they took me through this area on numerous drives. I always remember being in awe of the Salt River Canyon and took a number of pictures, but those little 4x6 prints couldn't possibly do justice to the feel. "No, it was 'bigger than that'!" LOL. Now years later, I can watch this video on my 27" computer monitor at full-screen and get some of that "feel" again. Thank you so much for sharing this video. Brings back great memories.
The pictures and videos can never do it justice compared to seeing it in person. Glad we could help relive some great memories! Thanks for watching!
Thank you not putting music on this and on any of your other videos. That's like a real pet peeve on any of these scenic driving videos.
Glad you enjoy the road noise! 💚
All vedios r with out music
I really appreciate your posting of these videos so that I can get to see all these wonderful places. God bless you
Happy that you enjoy them! God bless! ❤️
😍😍😍 thank you for always taking us with to your adventures
Our pleasure! Thanks for riding with us!
Oh the memories. As you were going down the 87 you ran by the Burger King my 2 youngest girls and I used to visit when we came up from the Valley and as you were leaving Payson you drove by the Beeline Cafe where in-laws back in the 60's used to lease it. That restaurant is a Payson icon for sure. Thank you again for the memories :D
WOW! What a stunning landscape. Thx for sharing 👍
Absolutely stunning drives, also very low traffic, despite being relatively close to Phoenix. I never heard of these places, they are quite unknown outside of the region, but I am now unhappy that I missed them during my road-trip in The USA. But next time they are definetely on the short list. Thanks a lot for sharing the video, greetings from a road-tripper from Germany!
Driving on beautiful roads is love.

Magnifique ... Merci !
Il manque sur les videos une CARTE affichee en temps reel pour voir ou se situe les lieux filmés
Well, at Show Low on the U.S. 60, you may have been roughly 50 miles from Springerville, on the 60. That junctions with the U.S. 191, in that little city. Someday, as a strong suggestion, the 191 from Springerville to Clifton might be a fantastic Piece to shoot. Go through Alpine--another diversion here, might be on the U.S. 180 into New Mexico through Luna, as far as, perhaps I-10(?); it looks like one makes an astonishing drop, off the Mogollon Rim, on the 180--then through Hannigan Meadow at 9K'+, through Morenci, site of one of the HUGEST open-pit mines--copper--down off of that pointy mesa through Clifton. Then take the U.S. 60 through Safford, continue on that until you reach Globe, forming another loop with what we passed through, on this Video Piece. Much of this goes through some the highest montane Ponderosa Pine forest, to be found anywhere in this trees' range.
Love from morocoo ❤ God bless you.

WELL, SONOFAGUN!! At 3:30:35, in the median of the AZ-87 SB, did you SEE 'em?? ELK!!! And there was at least one bull (Elk Males=Bulls. Elk Females=Cows, Elk Children=Calves) with an extravagant rack of antlers, that I could make out.
Cara é uma viagem sensacional via telinha do celular lkklkllkkk
NICE😁😁😁
Thanks 😊
Did a double take at 1:03:52 - intersection with AZ-73 -- 73 is a right turn (roughly southerly) but sign says "NORTH 73" -- The road goes southeast for a good distance to Ft. Apache, then does actually turn toward the north.
ISSO É QUE É LIBERDADE 😊

There Are Electric Poles And Wires. It's Just In The US We Don't Use A Whole Bunch Of Power Lines To Connect Each House, We Use Transformers, So There Won't Have To Be A Whole Bunch Of Power Lines, Like It Is In Bangkok.
Arizona has trees?
Please, I beg you... can you drive from Los Angeles to San Francisco and from San Francisco to Los Angeles, please, I beg you.
