The amount of caping going on for Bronny is crazy. Rashad should find another draft prospect with similar measurements and stats as bronny and see if the rest of the cast will speak as highly of player X
so here’s my question he went to the draft combine and he played in the combine and in the first scrimmage he only played 20 something min and had the most points than everyone else on the team all they said was that he has potential that’s all that has been said and that he should not go back to college. He wasn’t able to have a full college experience because of his heart issue which kept him out of games then he had to slowly put him into games and into rotations and at that point they had already established what the team and the rotations were so he got lost because of an unfortunate heart issue like yall dumb

Hes trained bronny him and lebron talked about him. So he knows just how good bronny is. He knows hes not showing his killer and stays playing the right way. You just want gil to say the same hating ass shit everyone else is saying. Remember D mitchell averaged 9 in hs and 11 in college lol now hes dropping 70 in the nba give him time.
U can say mccants being 💯I don’t feel like he lying but it’s definitely great college players that don’t translate and vice versa so I think logically his argument is a lil flawed
This is where Gil and fam lose me. They have hot takes and take shots at League MVP's...but cant keep it real with Bronny. It gives off "get along play along gang" vibes.
How are they not keeping it real bronny him self said he wants to be a role player and play the right way yall want him to be a star and lebron 2.0 so bad he wants to play in the nba and win within his role
I start to realize, Rashad is the only one here thinking logical and grown. There is no pressure if you got options especially if you that young like bronny.
4.8ppg, 33.6% FG, 26.7% 3PT, and 67.6% FT. How is he NBA ready?! They compare Bronnie to Shawn Marion? *Shawn Marion averaged 18.7ppg on 52.9%FG in college!!!*
bro yall are all dumbasf. yall keep looking at his college numbers even tho there has been plenty of bad college players that go lottery bc they can play. go look at any college coach interviews, they games not used to develope players, they want to win thats all. thats how they get money, so there systems wont help ppl that like to play free basketball. his combined showed he can play that 100 at min of the ppl in the draft. to think to say hes bad bc of college when he just proved hes better than those same college players is just moronic thinking
FACTUALLLLLL and the fact he personally trained him some years ago 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ if his name was *Bryden Jameison* Gil would be roasting the hell outta him and laughing at him and not even acknowledging him... he thinks Zach Edey is trash despite what he's scored in College
this been a thing of sports for the longest.... passing over other potential while giving the popular kid as many chances as possible then with the popular kid finally succeeds, everyone says they "knew" he/she had it in him.
Rashad right, gained a lot of respect from me. It’s no way a 6’1 sg averaging 4ppg should even be considered for the NBA. It’s crazy how the other 3 are being so delusional
And they need to stop comparing him to Pat Bev. Pat Bev averaged 40 a game in high school in Chicago. Bronnny wasnt doing that. Pat Bev is a DAWG. Bronny isnt that either.
they were talking about him as an NBA player not as a college player because then McCants would’ve been the greatest basketball player but instead, he was not just cause you’re good in college doesn’t mean you’re good the league secondly, I can guarantee you and you can come back here we can make a bet. I guarantee you Bonnie will score way more points than Pat has and I think pet Bev highest scoring game might be like 27 like come on
Not a Bronny fan but to be fair Pat Bev probably played some local AAU circuit and in a regular high school (Probably was still in a big city/market). Bronny played on one of the best AAU teams in the country same goes for is high school team.

To be honest she's the best girl that comes on the show, when they bring on all these washed WNBA ex-stars they're mad because there's many more avenues for women to make money bawling today, I still think she has the best basketball mind The other women come in and just talk about what it was like in the '90s they don't know anything about the new game or how people are playing it today. So I kind of agree with you but I just can't stop looking at Rashad's hats they're terrible
Yall only feel like that cause he always in opposition to Lebron. Rashad has horrible takes and he was a horrible NBA player. His opinion isn’t more valid than Gil’s or Brandon’s. He just a hater with a failure of a career and superficial excuses to belittle anything LeBron. Dude a weirdo
He also said Bronny should go back to solidify his career like he did them said he dindt go 3 cause the coach hated on him? Comon if you are a college legend doesn't matter what your coach said, Pat Beverly was a high school phenomenon did well in college and had to crawl his way back, if Bronny has a shot of getting in a nba team and train, travel and live like a pro for 3 years is better than going back to college.

Smh Mccants is right once again. Bigger guys get drafted off of potential 6’7 and up. No 6ft guard is getting drafted off of potential. Y’all stop it. Its all because of his name. He shoots to be a roll player? Role players in the league were stars in college.
Rashad isn't hating. Just the truth. To average only 4 pts in college. But shine in combine..who gives AF. In game action determines if youre like that.
The scouts care. Plenty of teams try to draft for upside. That's the whole point. The college game doesn't always translate directly to the league. A la mccants. If it was an elite draft class where there were a bunch of names from college then maybe college numbers are the determining factor but that's not the case this year. Half the college names in the draft are saying they have skills they DID NOT use in college like Cline talking about being able to hit the 3.
Of all of them mccants should know an “elite” college career doesn't necessarily translate to the league. He literally stayed and got a worse draft position. And Brandon knows about having to perform for the combine to improve his spot
There’s plenty of players that were drafted averaging 5 points, some people excel in the nba instead of college, we see every year players who come out of college and can’t translate to the next level. Combine is where you can show you can play.

The NBA Draft Combine is an event that features a mix of the best potential future NBA players and other talented prospects who need to prove their worthiness of being drafted. Here’s a more detailed breakdown: Top Prospects: The combine includes some of the top prospects who are expected to be high draft picks. These players often participate to showcase their skills, athleticism, and physical measurements, solidifying their status and possibly improving their draft stock. Potential and Fringe Players: The combine also invites players who are on the fringe of being drafted or who might be selected in the later rounds. These players have talent but need to demonstrate their abilities in a competitive environment. They undergo various drills, scrimmages, interviews, and physical tests to prove they are worthy of a draft selection. The combine serves multiple purposes: Evaluation: It allows NBA teams to evaluate a large group of prospects in a controlled setting. Comparison: Teams can compare players directly against each other in terms of physical attributes, skills, and in-game performance. Interviews and Medicals: Teams also conduct interviews and medical evaluations, which are crucial for assessing a player's readiness and fit for the NBA. Overall, the NBA Draft Combine is essential for both top-tier prospects looking to secure their place and lesser-known players aiming to make a strong impression and boost their draft prospects.

How dumb is Gil when he says that an unproven 19 yr old is a better pick than a proven 22 year old with 4 years of college. It’s the reason that the NBA is full of young players that don’t know how to play team basketball.
Most 22 year old draft picks don’t pan out other than being role players in the NBA. Doug McDermott, Frank Faminsky, Buddy Hield, Caris LeVert, Rui Hachimura, etc.
Mccants really just lives off the idea of his own potential. He is so obsessed with how good he was supposed to be. I have legit never seen someone be more proud of being the embodiment of wasted potential in my life.

i agree with Rashad when it comes to Bronny going back to college and his reason for him not to rush and build his catalog, but his mentality about not being a top 3 pick himself shows how much a player’s mind affects your draft stock. you can have all the talent in the world, but if you mindset’s wrong and uncoachable, your career could look like McCants’.

Just a few hours ago the NBA got quotes from Senior Scouts and they all noted that his 'elite' defense wasn't elite. Every time the opposing team switched a big on him, they scored. They noted that he can't create his own shot, and primary only went to his left.
All the things Bronny supporters say about him can be said about ANY D1 college basketball player!! “We don’t know how good he could be” “he has potential” “who knows what he’ll be in 3 years” ETC this is all crazy talk. Looking back at Rashad's draft he should've went higher and the perfect place would've been Orlando at #9. They drafted a cat named Franz Vasquez, that ended up never playing, with that pick. That year Orlando would've had Nelson, Francis, Grant Hill, Turkoglu, Dwight Howard with Rashad, Trevor Ariza, carlos Arroyo off the bench. That squad would've been dope.
McCants is spot on AGAIN! Gil trained Bronny, so of course he's not going to be objective about this subject. His connection is why he's on Nightcap with Unc and Ocho
Bro they really tried to compare the combine to the playoffs. Bruh McCants right again, combine literally just a practice with players who already know they are getting drafted and no names fighting for scraps. And the players who are top tier don’t care to prove anything or participate in a combine (that’s what what college was for). Bronny had a year at USC to prove something and he didn’t…
The media is trying so hard to make everyone believe Bronny is better than what he is. It is pathetic. Look at how they jump on anyone that says otherwise like a pack of wolves. I'm now truly convinced LeBron James is cutting all their checks. This shit is crazy
hitting open shots in combine camp is NOTHING like hitting open shots in filled arenas... I shined in combine camps, pro-am camps... Rashad, keep speaking the truth...
First, if Bronny was anyone else he wouldn’t even have an invite to the combine and none of those talking heads would even be discussing him. Second, if he was anyone else he would have to go back to school, overseas, or some other developmental league. Period.
What does that matter, if he believes he would develop more in the league or g league compared to college, why wouldn’t he enter the draft when he can still go back to college if he doesn’t get drafted?
The NBA combine is done twice. Bronnie didnt play in the combine with lottery picks. His college performance is a better indication of his actual ability than a mediocre performance against non lottery picks(78 players). 4-10 isn't impressive in one game Brandon went straight from high school to overseas to the NBA. Of course, he's going to devalue college. Lexi is tripping. Josiah is just there. I'm losing a bit of respect for Gil's podcast because of the obvious effort to convince us that Bronnie James(a 6'2 guard who wasnt the best player on a below average college team) would be seen as a NBA prospect and invited to the combine if his dad wasnt LeBron James. I've never seen people make a big deal about NBA combine performances like this over a mediocre college freshmen basketball player. Sidenote: Gil kept bringing up Bronnie and his vertical. Prior NBA combines always had a few smaller guards than Bronnie with 40 plus verticals. One was 5'11 Shane Larkin whose vertical was higher than Bronnie. He currently is one of the best players in the EuroLeague and was a little used backup in a short nba career. Bronnie is not better than Shane. The level of capping in this segment is astronomical.
@@coolbreeze2.0-mortemadfasc13 , you're just parroting opinions of these dudes. If college doesn't mean anything in the NBA, then why is college still the main talent source for most of the players who play in the NBA?

He’s saying if you’re picked younger (and your potential actually works out) then the player will have more longevity, which then means more success for the team who chose them. This is why he keeps using Giannis for example who was chosen strictly off potential at the age of 18/19. This is what GMs look for. Its a better gamble in their eyes rather than choosing a 22/23 year old even if they have a successful college career

The NBA Draft Combine is an event that features a mix of the best potential future NBA players and other talented prospects who need to prove their worthiness of being drafted. Here’s a more detailed breakdown:
Top Prospects:
The combine includes some of the top prospects who are expected to be high draft picks. These players often participate to showcase their skills, athleticism, and physical measurements, solidifying their status and possibly improving their draft stock.
Potential and Fringe Players:
The combine also invites players who are on the fringe of being drafted or who might be selected in the later rounds. These players have talent but need to demonstrate their abilities in a competitive environment.
They undergo various drills, scrimmages, interviews, and physical tests to prove they are worthy of a draft selection.
The combine serves multiple purposes:
Evaluation:
It allows NBA teams to evaluate a large group of prospects in a controlled setting.
Comparison: Teams can compare players directly against each other in terms of physical attributes, skills, and in-game performance.
Interviews and Medicals:
Teams also conduct interviews and medical evaluations, which are crucial for assessing a player's readiness and fit for the NBA.
Overall, the NBA Draft Combine is essential for both top-tier prospects looking to secure their place and lesser-known players aiming to make a strong impression and boost their draft prospects.

This shit ji sickening. Gilbert its no way youre trying make a point Ant Edwards being young 🥴. At some point you've had to have dominated your peers. Thats the simplicity of McCants stance.
The Eric Gordon disrespect is crazy. NBA body, 6’1” 164lb and he can’t run an offense, okay Gil. Shawn Marion was 6’7”, Peyton Watson is 6’8”, Edey is 7million feet tall man wtf. Y’all need to stop cappin. Gil lying again, Lavine average just under 10 on 49% and 37% from 3, and he had crazy bounce.
This is the 1st episode where yall opinions don't seem genuine. Mccants is right and the female is clueless.
😂😂😂😂 she had me at the hidden gem comment
🤷♂️😂
Yea im not sure why she is even talking. She is only thinking about the money im sure but bronny comes from money. He wants to come in and make an impact i dont think he wants to ride the bench and that's the problem
False Gil never had a unbiased opinion unless it someone he don’t know
The fact that you don’t know who that “female“ is says a lot about your knowledge McCants is salty that he could never amount to what the other people sitting around him minus the host have achieved in their respective leagues so where is he right? he said brownie should go back to college because it will help him and then try to give an example of what he did and it didn’t help him. He said if he would’ve came out, he would top 10 so he went back and then wasn’t even top three like he wanted to be???
This show hit DIFFERENT when Mccants is right about sumn fr 😂😂😂
He completely wrong he said if he went back to college he would go top 3. Blamed it on the coaches. He averaged 4 less point his 3rd year and didn’t get drafted top 3 😂😂😂 but want Bronny to follow his footsteps which I had no idea who bro is bc he’s trash 😂😂😂 bro said a whole lot of nothing and did a whole lot of hating bc Lebron is bronny dad

After he had a cardiac arrest situation
That’s even more reason not to draft him
He scored 4pts and he scored 13 pts in the columbine
Not only that, but no one but fans are saying outside of the 3 point drills he did good at the combine.
Just a few hours ago the NBA got quotes from Senior Scouts and they all noted that his 'elite' defense wasn't elite. Every time the opposing team switched a big on him, they scored. They noted that he can't create his own shot, and primary only went to his left.
I already know the pressure at the combine is not the same as a college basketball game with the crowd and intensity
He said "they got more potential than Michael Jordan kids" I'm dead
Hell no. One of MJ’s kids was way better than Bronny
All the things Bronny supporters say about him can be said about ANY D1 college basketball player!! “We don’t know how good he could be” “he has potential” “who knows what he’ll be in 3 years” ETC this is all crazy talk. Gil only wants to talk abt the positive possibilities like there can be no negative outcome lol… He’s done absolutely nothing but we wanna give him the benefit of the doubt why? If that’s the case then EVERYONE can be an NBA player.
Yall wrong for making me agree with McCants
McCants is spot on AGAIN! Gil trained Bronny, so of course he's not going to be objective about this subject. His connection is why he's on Nightcap with Unc and Ocho
Preach
Bro they really tried to compare the combine to the playoffs. Bruh McCants right again, combine literally just a practice with players who already know they are getting drafted and no names fighting for scraps. And the players who are top tier don’t care to prove anything or participate in a combine (that’s what what college was for). Bronny had a year at USC to prove something and he didn’t…
His daddy didn't have Dog in him #NoDiddy And he sure don't either 😮😂 Averaging 5 pts
@@absalompiankhitv How does make sense to you?

Thats cap
hitting open shots in combine camp is NOTHING like hitting open shots in filled arenas...
Period.
thats exactly whats im saying we wouldnt even consider a 6ft 1 guy who is not a point guard who average 5 pts and 26% from three to get drafted
He's not better than Colin Sexton who doesnt start rt now.
4-10 isn't impressive in one game
Brandon went straight from high school to overseas to the NBA.
College doesn’t mean shit once you leave the NBA.
@@coolbreeze2.0-mortemadfasc13 , you're just parroting opinions of these dudes. If college doesn't mean anything in the NBA, then why is college still the main talent source for most of the players who play in the NBA?

@@ThaRealM3 nigga the girl sitting on the couch. Are you dum?
He’s saying if you’re picked younger (and your potential actually works out) then the player will have more longevity, which then means more success for the team who chose them. This is why he keeps using Giannis for example who was chosen strictly off potential at the age of 18/19. This is what GMs look for. Its a better gamble in their eyes rather than choosing a 22/23 year old even if they have a successful college career
