Creepypastas are the modern terrifying urban legends. Tales of horrifying serial killers on the loose, scary ghostly apparitions appearing in the night, and shocking childhood video games and cartoons haunting you in mysterious ways; all told through the internet. These gruesome stories are not written by select big name authors, but by you- people of the internet. This creates an air of eerie realism which you don't get with other horror mediums. Are any of these scary stories true? That question is what will keep you up at night.

Honestly when the guy's legs fell off and his blood was insect like creatures, I half expected the blood bugs to pull the legs back on and reattach them.
Yeah, I mean the name of the project was "Immortality Project", so I thought they'd protect you from fatal wounds or something..?

Up until that point nothing else happened. And then WHOOPSY Jeffrey lost both legs and is bleeding. Like, who would totally be fine with staying in an experiment like this.
I mean it's good hard earned money I say.

This was just so bad. This had so much potential from the title, but the story just threw it out the window. Like, there was a ton of buildup, leaving the reader guessing what all of the green crap meant and why the dude was smarter, but there was no climax to this story. The main character literally stopped giving a shit and the story ended. It was just a bunch of weird things randomly strung together without any sort of resolution. If the main character did some more research into this project and found some creepy background info about the guy running it and how it related to the weird green people he created, the story would at least have some sort of sense.
Thank you! this story was completely pointless and I'm seeing all these comments about how much they liked it. it seems like it was building up to some sort of reveal or twist or something, then it just ends. what a waste of 20 minutes

RisingVictor The end requires you to think. What I got from it was that the 'immortality project' actually was a virus or an alien or some sort of creature that replaces the blood in your veins and literally uses your body as a shell.
They most likely eventually kill the actual mind of the host after a slow process of taking over as they navigate their body and tries to further spread themselves in the guise of a normal human. This is further proven by several things in the story like everybody's calm reaction to somebody literally dying.
The project that the main character participated in was the virus showing just how cunning it can be as it posed as an actual human as it ran tests on them to allow it to spread itself to more kinds of humans. And at the end as the main character says 'I recommend you try it." It reveals that even he has been infected on some level.
I think I like this not too subtle but not too direct approach.
GlonX Sounds more like speculation than a subtle plot.
I don't recall anything indicating it was some kind of parasitic virus or something other. I really don't know.

is it just me or what but I view these story's as something to listen to. like they don't really scare me it's like a friend telling you a story around a camp fire, do nothing and just listen.

It actually makes it more realistic that he doesn't know. He was a participant, not the director. He can only share what he knows. Sure, knowing what happened would be wonderful, but that's the point. You aren't supposed to know. Hell, even great works of horror seldom explain what truly happened. That sense of not knowing the truth is what causes fear.

The buildup of this story seemed really good, but the endijg was really weak. It went from being in the building and wondering what would happen next, to him getting his phone, going home, and nothing to wonder about.

my conclusion: leader of the project was making himself immortal by collecting similar bodies to mold to his image and inhabit.

Surprised they went with the name “The Immortality Project”. Usually anyone doing life extending projects always give them some silly name. Like “Project Phoenix” or “Operation Lazarus”. Though from this story sounds like the project isn’t going as hoped.
