Hi. Love the video, but wondering if I should drain the water below the valves? And I'm guessing I take all the hoses off, correct? And what was the white chemical thing you put in the pool with pillow? Thank you for any help
I didn’t drain my pool because I didn’t want the tarp to sag too low. I’m putting out a new video this week on how I’m closing it this year I’m using a different chemical I wasn’t happy with that chemical last year.
did you lower the level of water 4 inches below the intake and outtake valves? Everyone that I have seen says to lower the water below filter and water valves. I like your idea of shrink tape. We will be doing that too.
Do you think I could use this tarp on a 15 foot ? Would the latches still like up with the legs ? Obviously I’d have extra but I wonder if it will still work
I'm having an issue finding a good winter cover for my 16X32 rectangular intek pool. Have any advise. The cover the pool came with It was horrible. I had to cut off the pool to get it opened this year. I like the claps that you had. That would be awesome for all the way around the pool to hold the cover tight. Thanks for your video
Is lt ok to leave the pool up during the winter? I live in Utah and it gets cold here -several days can be at freezing. I read where they should be taken down during the Winter months if temp falls below 41 degrees F.
I’m sure that would not be a problem. I keep my pool filled with a cover all winter. I’m in Texas but we have had temps below zero at times and it was fine.
Great video and great idea.
Awesome tips and tricks brother
Thank you John
Where did u get the pool cover with the belts that snap on the poles?
Bummer it’s that time of the year uh?! Nice video!
Breaks my heart to close the pool every year
would like to know where you found the pool cover with the latch system. I so need this.
I love this way… what’s the pillow for
So debris is easier to clean off of the cover, it all moves to were you can reach it to clean

Do you know the name of the type of latch used to help tie the cover to the posts? Or where to buy the latches?

No I don’t do that I leave it alone personally. Thankfully haven’t had any leaking issues
did you drain any of the water? Some people say to take some out below the holes for filter.
I drain just below my skimmer that’s all

It wouldn’t fit like it’s meant to. They do make one for 15’ pools
@@LifeLessOrdinary can’t find one like this for a 15 😭😭 I’ve looked on Amazon and the intex site no luck
Yeah I just looked myself I don’t see it anymore ☹️ let me look a little today I’ll try and find something

Yeah but hey make great pool covers. Unfortunately I don’t think they do rectangle covers.

A lot of people leave them up… I’m trying it this year
@nickbonvino I leave mine up every year 👍🏼
Could you winterize an intex pool in northern Illinois?
I’m sure that would not be a problem. I keep my pool filled with a cover all winter. I’m in Texas but we have had temps below zero at times and it was fine.
Hi. Where can we find a tarp with the latches that u have ??? Thank you
I’ll be making a new pool closing video in a few weeks 👍🏼

Very carefully lol, had one of my boys under the deck handing it off
