If you want more info, ROBLOX basically has something called Remote Events to allow safe communication between the client and the server, it's the coders job to do server validation whenever a Remote Event is fired, looks like this wasn't the case and the server thought it was a legitimate request.

If they ban these people they simply return via other ip adress with other account and exploit even harder to get back to big ip. Virtual pets cost developers nothing. Robux will cost them money. This seems the cheapest way out for info they needed. It explains also the server restart i saw this night, good that they solved an exploit.

This is called bug bounty its just that they did not announce it to public and looks like they just come up with it on the heat of the moment. Also the bounty is excessive in my opinion. we all saw that pet sim x got bad towards the end of it (as in when they stopped updating it and all that) because of the devs laughing at free to play players for being “selfish” and stuff and because the game was literally pay to win. so much so that the only way to get good was to gamble on a 0.05% chance to get a titanic and a 1% chance to get a huge from eggs that cost 400 each. and if you want to buy with diamonds then good luck cus they costed up to billions of diamonds. why would anyone think that they have changed? just because it’s a new game doesn’t mean that they won’t make wrong if not the worst choices possible.

I have an idea of how to fix it every time you get a huge make it harder to get another one of that huge and every month it will reset and maybe add a pity system, where if you open like 10 million eggs, your chances of getting a huge will increased drastically

Rewarding exploits/bugs is generally rewarded from many companies. My husband is a developer and one of his friends is as well. They call it bug hunting but my husbands friend makes a side gig if it. He found an issue when the PS5 was getting ready to release where you could bypass the countdown and go directly to purchase before release. They ended up giving him a PS5 and tons of games for free for reporting it. Plus tons of others but that was the one I was most impressed by lol. But all of this is fairly common in the dev world. If it hadn’t of been reported in a timely manor they wouldn’t have been rewarded.
See the example with your husband makes sense, and it is common practice but for one, the exploit was used extensively before it was reported. Second, the reward they got did not make sense. Give them either monetary value or something of value in game that is not unobtainable. Thats just my opinion though, I think with the other issues we saw this week from update 8 combined with this was just a slap in the face for the community to be fair though.
It was reported the same day it happened. They had to find people to reach out to the devs because you can’t just get in contact with someone right away. I’m sure they didn’t assume they’d keep everything from the chests. From my understanding, the people rewarded didn’t start trading off what they had got until after they got confirmation they could keep it. Of course the reward makes sense. It is an outrages reward to get other exploiters to now report other findings in hopes to get the same crazy reward. Or we could just have more exploiters ruin the economy over and over, like with the balloon popping exploit. Economy doesn't blow up because of an exploit like this. we had a happy computer event with 1.000.000 pets new in the economy. that didnt tank the economny. If they punish the players who found and used this exploit, they and any other exploiter will never tell the exploit again. Result is many more huges, in that case big games will revert to some sort of detection method, and delete those pets after being hatched. the exploiters will sit on their exploit and give them to power to collapse the economy when they want. with this chest and possibly any other future chest. The exploit itself is complex, its hard to find the external factors you need to change in order to exploit this bug. thats why big games them self possibly cannot find out what happens. issues like this are rare in PS99, compared to PSX. I don't have a problem at all with exploiters who get rewarded. but having rb shiny tritanic AND those agonies might be a bit much. But i think the exploiters negotiated a good deal for them. compared to the total economy 20k extra huges is tiny.

Every morning when I wake up I'm back at spawn. Think they must be resetting servers all the time.

the exploiters will sit on their exploit and give them to power to collapse the economy when they want. with this chest and possibly any other future chest.
The exploit itself is complex, its hard to find the external factors you need to change in order to exploit this bug. thats why big games them self possibly cannot find out what happens. issues like this are rare in PS99, compared to PSX.
I don't have a problem at all with exploiters who get rewarded. but having rb shiny tritanic AND those agonies might be a bit much.
But i think the exploiters negotiated a good deal for them. compared to the total economy 20k extra huges is tiny.
an exploit is a in-game bug that u can manipulate, what I'm hearing is that there was secondary programs to trick server into giving them huge's each roll. that's not an exploit, that's literal hacking. shouldntve been rewarded for hacking into the server. like come on man..
People complaining about hackers getting rewarded for finding an exploit don't realise this is standard practice in the industry.
This did help with deflation though funny enough. Instead of buying rocks and computers people got to buy some cool huges.
That just tells me the coder has no idea how to do his job right so he’s relying on bribing the exploiters for a quick answer instead of him looking into it himself.
Preston also did that on psx, not just him, although Preston gave robux instead of pets.
Google also did that. its not easy to figure out something that you dont know in a day

I dont want to quit this game but if it happens similar to the bank update in the psx that the exploiter can dupe the diamond. Furthermore, after they fix it, the exploiters still have their diamonds left then abuse the game's feature to invest from that. I'm so disappointed rn.

Idk why people are mad. This is generally how it works with hackers in other instances as well. Like when people have hacked the government for example. They usually end up on their side helping afterwords. It’s very common. I’m learning hacking in college right now

So exploiters get close to 40k cyber agony's, and in response, the devs say "Keep the huges and take 5 1/1 Titanic's". Also, these exploiters are trying to sell all of their 1/1 Titanic's for irl. This is also cross-trading. So they abused a exploit and try and cross-trade, and in return get more for free? May be time to do the same as them as they are now promoting exploiting.
I undersand giving 1 super rare titanic away but 4 of them seems fishy, I mean if proven right and only the first reporter of the exploit should be be rewarded
