Thank you so much for this video. Seriously. Something similar happened where I was gonna work as a part of the orchestra for a cruise ship for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. I got contracted, was ready to go, but my physical got denied. My BMI was above the limit, and this failure and redirection changed my life. Now I’m working towards becoming a music teacher and I finally have my badge to work as a substitute. Im taking better care of my health and Im on a weight loss journey, and Im proud to say I’ve seen results. Im terrified of becoming a teacher, but I want to share and inspire the next generation of musicians, and create a fun safe space for the kids. Thank you for this video classic halo. Seriously. I admire this.

i learned a very similar lesson in university when the stress of what might happen if i failed or even succeeded got to me hard. if i could pass on any advice to my younger self or anybody for that matter it would be that shit goes bad sometimes but no matter what the world keeps turning so chill

Thanks man. I'm in an extremely rough and stressful place, severe health issues and pain; can't get much lower... but never be afraid of rock bottom, because the only place you can go is up. (Unless the bus drives away while you are trying to by a candy bar. people my age will get the reference.)
Kind of had a similar realization. I'm 30 going to become an EMT with hopes of joining the army as a combat medic and eventually transitioning to a physician associate. There will be many obstacles of the road ahead, but it's worth walking it, and at worst, I'll do something else.
