The “Annie” in this song lives in Arkansas. She and Levon were long time friends. “Annie” had a daughter that she named Annette. Annette became a paramedic and eventually went to work for a Helicopter Ambulance Service. In March of 2017, I had a massive stroke. I was airlifted from a small rural hospital to the state’s premier teaching hospital, where I underwent emergency brain surgery. Annette was my Flight Paramedic. She kept me alive for the 80 mile flight. I think of her and her mother’s story whenever I hear this song.
Hell y'all is little Bob a veteran of eight years and all I can say is that would be one of the biggest bucket list of mine in the world be a part or just come and watch or see something like this taking place God bless you all I keep it up man again my name is little Bob Port Huron Michigan homeless vet

but wasnt it Robbie Robertson that wrote the song?
@@BrinGnobody not only that but there’s no Annie in the song. It’s Fanny.
I love that Lee Ann Womack is watching over them, like the Queen Mother. What a class act.
So much talent in that room. I like how all the red dirt road guys pull together
This may very well be the greatest cover of this song
One of my favorite version of this song
Cody Johnson is the salvation for keeping true country music alive, instead of the so called music others claim today,,
Cody Johnson has nothing to do with this video.... He is good though.
This needs to happen all the time. Awesome cover.

All the greatest but Boland is the red dirt king. He is the voice of red dirt. The others are great too but he is next level as always.
