Doing the intial burnoff on my new Pit boss Series 5 vertical smoker. I'm excited about this pellet smoker. Should make life easier when it comes to smoking meat!
I just got this smoker last night. I'm doing the initial burn off. the temp is going up but it only made smoke for about 2 minutes. it's basically just cooking with no smoke. I can't just force the auger to work idk what to do
When it is on higher temps you won’t see that much smoke. If you are trying to get a lot of smoke , put it on the lowest setting , the smoke setting and close the top vent almost all the way down. Should get tons of smoke. I usually press the prime button for about 10 secs whenever I get started to cook/smoke something. If you are cooking at hotter temps make sure you spin the top vent open.

This is a person that will give a negative review when they don’t read instructions!!!! Prime button for a reason!
ha I know right! I've known that guy for 49 years, he never reads instructions and always complains about stuff not working!

What size is the cooking space in this one?
How long do you wait after shutting down (after burn off) before you turn it on again to start smoking?
I didn’t wait too long. Maybe half hour. But I’m Impatient. Not sure what the right amount of time is
