I have just a few tips. Firstly when your selecting your wash cycle, if you want the driest dishes always use the Hi Temp Wash AND OR Sanitize option. That’s going to bring the water heat by the heating element up to at-least 140 degrees and the intense steam and heat is what primarily dries the dishes. Always use the high temp boost options alongside the heated dry but test it and see how dry things are after the HI TEMP wash. Make sure when your loading that you don’t block any of the spray arms especially the one under the top rack, before your gonna add the detergent give the lower and upper arm a spin to make sure that they are free, that way you’ll have a good wash. I do use rinse aid but I have a 15 yr old Whirlpool dishwasher and it’s one of my favorite machines by far, it was the most reliable and most powerful dishwasher for the residential market ever made and I will never get rid of it because they simply don’t make them the same anymore, mine dries most things just from the heat of the final rinse so I don’t use the heated dry often but if I have a lot of plastic I’ll use the heated dry. I always like using the HI TEMP wash it really helps to make everything shine better for me with our terrible city water.
Turn the dial up on the rinse aid where you pour in the liquid behind the cap, keep increasing towards max until you reach a desired dryness
Great tip!
Perfect! I didn’t know what was that for. Thank you.
I have a whirlpool dishwasher that was already in the house I’m buying also and mine also leaves my dishes soaking wet so I just leave door open to air dry
Me too :(
Any update? Did you try setting the rinse aid to MAX? I am having the exact same situation here. I've had great experiences with GE dishwashers in the past and everything was completely dry. But the Whirlpool really frustrated me. I have now ruled out the low water temp and clogged detergent aid dispenser. I'm going to try liquid detergent and prewash detergent as a last resort.
I have still not found a full proof solution. I am going to contact Whirlpool. I have tried filling up the rinse aid, each cycle with high heat run all the way through & and I've tried different brands. Everything still comes out damp.
I use rinse aid with domestic acrylic water based eggshell paint it really helps it lay down smooth and blend without patches when painting furniture and cupboard doors.
Good to know! Hope that works out for you!
Do you use a rinse aid? What method do you use to make sure your dishes are dried?
In the name of shine, rinse aid in dishwasher is making them silky and sticky when touched with water even kept setting to lower level 1 .pls clarify.
The rinse aid shouldn’t make them sticky. You may want to make sure you aren’t over loading and use a dishwasher soap that has a good degreaser and that the water coming out is hot.
It’s because all of your stuff is plastic. Replace your kitchen stuff with glass, ceramic, and stainless steel and it will come out dry.
My GE dishwasher didn't have an issue drying any of my current kitchen items.
FYI - Plastics are hydrophobic (less likely to attract to water so they do not dry as the glass or ceramic plates. Most pods (i use cascade as well) have now some rinse aid so I wouldn’t really waste my money in buying extra products. At least I don’t do it myself and my glass and plates are always clean and spotless 🤷🏽♂️. Cheers!

One Hour wash selection is the problem. Normal or Heavy
love this vid thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Use prewash detergent it will help you dishes get cleaner. Otherwise the prewash setting is useless.
Thank you for the tip !
I just bought my first dishwasher the rinse aid is so it can dry?
It is supposed to help the dishes dry better. I don't see much of a difference when I use it or not.
@@KathyMLifestyle oh ok I am getting used to what i need to buy for it so far I only have the dishwasher soap and rinse aid
i think it’s ur dishwasher honestly bc my aunt has a 2003 GE dishwasher and she fills it to the max and with high dry setting it’s never wet dish’s
So if you’re trying to find out if the rinse aid works, unfortunately this test hasn’t been done properly for 2 main reasons.
1) The first cycle you did no pre wash and a pod, and the second you did pre wash with a liquid. Two different methods and two different detergents (detergents can have rinse aids built in)
2) it may take several cycles for the rinse aid to work. It needs to be worked in to the system.
This is why knowing the scientific method is so important.
Haha I agree. I have been watching a few videos since I just got a dishwasher and her issue may be the fact that the pods are too concentrated therefore a lot of residue from the soap is left over. She may have better luck measuring smaller amounts of powder with a drip of liquid herself.
You packed that thing to the max 😅
U have to much plastic in there. Plastic doesn’t hold residual heat. That plays a big part in your dishes drying. Ima Appliance tech at Appliance Connection in Birmingham Alabama. But keep making videos they’re very helpful I watch them myself
You have a big plastic bowl on the bottom rack, it's to full it will not dry well, Hello !!
The 1H wash does not dry! use normal!
I tried the normal and they are still wet 🤔 I may end up calling whirlpool since it is still under warranty.
Plastic doesn't dry easily in a dishwasher. Rinse aid or no
My plastic dried fine in my GE dishwasher, but not so much in my Whirlpool one unfortunately.
I use Cascade Platinum and finish jet dry rinse aid and as long as the rinse aid dispenser is not empty my dishes dry perfectly almost every single time 🥰
I’ll have to try those !
@@mrsglitter8373 I’d recfomend trying cascade complete gel in the dark pine green bottles, comes in a fresh scent or a citrus breeze scent, more bang for your buck and works the same still shines my dishes plus it’s a non chlorinated recipe which is nice. Pacs still don’t contain bleach I like them here and there but the gel works so well and you don’t need a lot and it lasts forever
Girl!!!!! How are you going to help me using 2 different methods!!! I'm over here with a new dishwasher trying to figure out if rinse aid is a must because my dishes have been wet all 3 times I've used it, and you over here using 2 types of products🤦🏾♀️😩🤣😂🤣😂
Let me just go buy some rinse aid😩🙄
You also overloaded your dishwasher great video though
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed.... and yes sometimes that happens haha.
I do that all the time is why I commented 😆
@@mrsglitter8373 my thought is always I don’t want to hand wash these so in they go
@@KathyMLifestyle I have just recently for the first time in my life owned a dishwasher and it is literally game changing I'm only 27 but I grew up with a dishwasher in my home that never worked and then met my husband and we moved into a house with a dishwasher that was completely disconnected from the main lines so we couldn't even install one we just moved into pretty much our dream home and I have just installed a dishwasher and I'm literally buying the best products for it cleaning it once a week lol just because I love it so much I never realized how much of a game changer that is when you've been washing dishes three times a day for pretty much your entire life
