I have Snap On's older version of stud installer and removal tool. It is a collection of collets (kind of like R8). Same concept. It grabs by the threads.

What I hate is when they try to get them out. Usually drilled off center and a broken easy-out in there. But time is money. IC weld has sticker on his helmet "I am here because you broke something" Thanks for watching.
