RADII and ENERGY LEVELS of ATOMIC ORBITS | in HINDI

  • In this Physics video lecture in Hindi for class 11, 12 we derived the ratio of radii of orbits and their energy levels. We explained how orbital radii are in ratio of the square of integers. The enrgy levels are in the ratio of reciprocals of the square of integers.
    Total energy of nth orbit is - (Z^2 X e^4 X m)/(8 X ε0^2 X n^2 X h^2), where, Z is atomic number, e is elementary charge, m is mass of an electron, ε0 is absolute permittivity of free space and h is Planck's constant.
    Radius of nth orbit is ( n^2 X h^2 X ε0 ) / ( π X m X Z X e^2 )

    Sir I have q question- If we are deriving total energy of electron then the orbit formed by electron during revolution for any particular orbit let's say n then the revolution of electron on n with total energy T forms orbit so the energy of orbit is same as total energy of electron or revolution of energy forms different energy levels?

      it means electron neither move outward nor inward couse both forces are same, thats that's the postulate of bohr, "stationary orbit "

      hey , nth orbit means the radius of that orbit you wish to find out
      like if you want to find out the radius of the first orbit (means for hydrogen) just put the values n=1 and Z=1 (Hydrogen atomic number Z=1)
      then you will get r = 0.53 A' Not forgot to put the values of other term like: h , epsilon ,.....
      hope you understand .........
