I was wondering about that! When i saw it in theatres, they played an acoustic version of "Take on Me" during that scene but then when i watched DP2 again at home it was replaced with this. Come to think of it, there were other songs changed from the theatrical version like during the juggernaut song. Anyone know why?

Winter (my daughter) would be 7 years old now had she not died and she would be so beautiful, my life would be so beautiful but that's not my life. Losing her changed me so much and brought so much pain but it also made me a better man. I'm a kinder and more caring man than I was and I know I've helped people I may never have even noticed before my life crumbled to ashes. Someone right now is happy all because of the ashes left behind when my daughter died and that in its own way is beautiful.

Jordan sings it with heart, calm and a touch of sadness, Celine sings it with an experienced lifetime of performance and hers feels more as a anthem of power and defiance, you cannot compare them as they are a completely different take of the song, I don't know why people are trying to, I enjoy the soft calm feeling of this version more TBH but that doesn't mean I feel it is better just more suiting to my taste at this time of the night. just close your eyes and try enjoy the music for what it is not what you feel it should be or what it's lacking.

Most people don’t realize how many songs artists write and end up throwing away but then they end up being major hits for someone else.... I mean take the song “bleeding love” for instance was written by Jesse McCartney with help from Ryan Tedder on the musical composition and then it was shelved but then Jesse gave the go ahead to give it to Leona Lewis and the rest is history
He didn't write this song for Celine. He wrote it for the movie Deadpool 2. RYAN wanted Celine and not all the family friends millinials singing this song, he wanted the LEGEND, so he wrote her a long letter. This was imediate after Rene's passing and she was struggling tremendously with life after his passing.
His version is for games like Walking Dead, The Last Of Us while Céline’s version is really meant for a soundtrack with that cinematic bass and orchestra
His version is used in the scene where Wade dies and comes to Vanessa in the SuperDuperCut. And it's fucking perfect for that scene. So emotional.

Had never heard of Jordan until today while watching Deadpool 2 for an unknown amount of times. This version actually plays in the background of several scenes and it made me curious. Jordan's original version has so much more emotion and feeling then Celine's showbiz high budget version.
