I own a 2005 Mitsubishi Montero Limited and live in Minnesota and we experience very deep snow almost every year, and I find that my truck (and most others) do much better with winter rated all-terrain tires as opposed to dedicated snow tires because the bigger, deeper lugs pull you though the snow much better (same concept as mud tires in deep mud), while the smaller tread of snow tires do better in shallow or packed snow. My Montero pulled through snow that deep and deeper this year, and the only negative is clearance, which is why I am putting on an OME lift to help with that. Both are great for what they need to do (if rock crawling is your definition of "off-roading" get a Jeep), and both do better than most in inclement weather.

Yes, this is an interesting remark. As far as I read, for example, on trips to the server of Russia, where there can be many meters of snow under the car (search at youtube the phrase “Экспедиция Индига” on youtube), it is winter tires that work best. But since ice is often on our country roads, then for winter driving I like most of all tires with spikes. I chose Nokian Hakkapelita LT, this is something like AT tires, only with winter spikes. AT rubber works well, but in a hard frost, it becomes very hard, almost plastic.

Ruben, what an amazing videos, and even more amazing adventure! Bravo!
I have the same Pajero I believe, 3.2 DiD 2007. I got it in January this year, and I was just amazed how well it goes in deep snow and even ice. I live on a mountain where the last 300m is a road with 22 degrees inclination(!), and the Pajero handles it as a joke. Those electronics just seem to work, the wheels never spin. I noticed that 4H with center dif lock works the best. If I use 4L with center lock the wheels spin. I fitted it with Cooper Weather Master WSC winter tires, and those are just amazing, the wheels don't even spin at all. Some of my friends who use A/T M/T tires in the snow cannot climb on my road, those tires are not good for snow in my experience.
Can you please let me know where you got the winch from and what type of winch it is? I can see its very well mounted (concealed) so it does not look bulky.

Самого интересного - нет... Как именно Паджеро вызволяли из оврага, где он чуть на бок не лег? Но все равно, видео отличное, природа красивая. Лебедка на сколько lbs/кг?

Спасибо, Константин! Да, к сожалению не получилось снять этот момент. Нашли возможность зацепится ближе, чтобы развернуть нос машины, дальше стянули ее задом в снег и уже вытащили. Лебедки в обоих машинах 9500 lbs.

По итогу, машины едут +/- одинаково, Паджеро немного лучше. Ну и чинить его у нас в несколько раз дешевле, чем 100-ку
