    Great watch again from Citizen. Personally I love the promaster rubber strap - I have 2 other watches with this strap. Shame about the screw down crown but I think I will add it to my Citizen collection 👍

    Citizen definitely don't mess around with the Promaster line-up.

    this watch can tell you true north, you just have to enter the declination, that is why at the 3 o'clock position you have "E" and "W" I know because i have the older model, which in terms of looks i think looks best

    I think this watch works well for somebody who's in the city more often than in the woods because of the styling me personally if I was going to be backpacking or doing any substantial hiking I would go with a protrek... the reason I'm looking at this watch and considering buying it is for light hiking but for full on hiking and being Out Of Reach from Modern civilization type of stuff the inclusion of a barometer would be fairly important for weather prediction... but overall I'm going to buy it because of the simple fact that it's a outdoorsy watch but with a city flare

      Interesting thoughts! No matter where you wear it, it is a great looking watch!

    Very good review. What type of rubber is the original strap?

    • @WatchWorld
      @WatchWorld  Год назад +1

      Hi there,
      It is silicone based.
      Hope this helps!
      All the best.

      I still have the original silicone. It's the only thing I don't like about the watch. Definitely will replace with nylon.

    What type of nylon strap is that and where did you purchase it?

      Hi Richard,
      Thanks for watching. Just a standard nylon strap from amazon.

    What are the diferences between the BN5058 -07E and the BN4044-15E? Which one is newer?

    • @WatchWorld
      @WatchWorld  Год назад +2

      Hi Mark,
      Thanks for watching! The BN5058-07E seems to be the model that uses feet as a unit of measurement and the BN4044-15E seems to be the one that uses metres. From the info I could find the unit of measurement is the only difference. Hope this info helps.

    Bought it for my husband years ago. It is all scratched up. Toral garbage! I paid $500 for it at the time. Anyhow i bought him a deep blue that came with a compass and thermometer for his beater and a vaer for hiking, driving and dress.

      You can scratch any watch if you abuse it. I have about 50 watches in my collection and hardly any have any visible damage. I keep a Casio G Shock for really tough activities… it’s worth it

      Try a watch with sapphire crystal.

    I am unable to get my altimeter hand to return fully to the 12 o’clock position. It returns to the 1oclock position. Any idea how to correct this?

    • @WatchWorld
      @WatchWorld  Год назад

      Hi, sorry to hear that you are having this issue. I have never experienced that before with the watch. Have you tried recalibrating the altimeter?
