Wow! Great recording. It was awesome they performed this song. I saw them live 2 months ago. Amazing show! They sang a lot of classics but not this one. If they are coming to your town, don’t miss their show. It is phenomenal!!
Cool how Velvet Newton ends with the "Faster than Light" whoosh and that Duran Duran decided to perform that song after many years. You do have to give respect to Dom because a good portion of the guitar playing on the original song is a guitar synthesizer and he did have the proper tone.
Wow! It seems like DD play deep tracks more in the U.K. than when they tour in the U.S. yes? I’m American and I have LOVED Duran Duran since their first album in 1981. I ADORE their deep tracks but I’ve never seen them play FTL, AOT, etc, when I’ve seen them live here in the U.S. (Seattle in 1984, 2016, 2023) Thank you SO much for this! ❤ And…thank you Birmingham, for sending the world the best band ever! 🇬🇧👍🥰
Love this velvet Newton track intro ... if you close your eyes and listen to it you can imagine standing at 80s gig waiting for the band to burst into their set very clever ...

Although may of had a heart attack with playing the techno brilliance of Velvet Newton followed by the insanely brilliant Faster Than Light…….I mean cmon only Duran can give anyone that diverseness So hoping they keep FTL and AOT on the Set List for Lytham and Hyde Park Although the chance of that is slim as hell you never ever can tell with our gods 😊

Sounds superb. Wish I had gone to the Leicester gigs but had to work. Set lists were better than the Birmingham gigs last year.
