Hi Yasmin, thanks so much. I'm glad to know my lessons are helpful. There are a few different ways to learn with me. You can find out about them here: www.speakconfidentenglish.com/courses/
it´s very kind of you to teach us how to order things that may seem pretty simple to order, but actually it is not. i really appreciatte your help because now I will be able to order a coffee in a correct way. I haven´t seen any of your videos yet, but I REALLY LIKE you to keep on teaching us these kind of simple but very important things to know. Thanks a million. You got a new suscriptor in your amazing channel.
I don’t understand how this video that is a jewel has so many views and no like. Please leave your like in this video. It is the most respectful way to support the teacher who makes these videos to help so many people
My sister works at a coffee shop at the downtown of my city and a lot of tourist that go there don't know any Spanish, and she also struggles with her English, so she tells me it's kinda hard to communicate , I think this video and the lesson would be a great help for her, to get more familiar with the way native speakers order coffee, and all those common expressions, thanks a lot 😊
I have two options when I go to a Coffe Shop. If I go to order to go, I usually order tea, Earl Grey tea or Breakfast tea. But if my intention is to stay for a while in the Coffe Shop, I often order a typical American coffee with a piece of Lemon cake or blueberry muffin. In my country, we enjoy drinking coffee. Mostly, regular coffee that is served in a cup of tea. We love drinking coffee with some typical food. We do not have the custom to order coffee to go. We prefer to taste the coffee when we are seated or at least stand on the balcony, Thank you so much for this very lesson. It was helpful.
When I visited America for the first time, one of our professors took me and another girl in the class to a cafe to talk. I truly didn’t know how to order coffee because I did not drink coffee very often at all! I remember saying something like “I want a coffee with many milk...” which sounded very dumb... But at that moment the professor spilt his drink and everyone forgot what I just said. Now he was the person feeling embarrassed lol!
Thanks for the useful lesson! I’m going to coffee shop with local friend today. I’m ready to order. I love flat white. I’m originally from Japan and live in Singapore. Singapore has a lot of choices for local coffee. “Kopi” is the most typical one and it means sweetened white coffe. Very sweet for me. I like “Kopi C Kosong”. It means coffee with evaporated milk without sugar.
I feel happy by the first sip of coffee in the morning like you. I usually go with regular americano. I was into latte before but I come to unable to digest milk from one moment. Your class is always fabulous. Big thanks.
I work at a bakery in Paris and we serve coffee in the tiny cup 😅 What i love about English speaking clients is the effort they make to order in French instead though i speak English fluently 😁 Ps: English speaking clients and tourists are more polite than our French clients 🤷🏻♀️
Hi Annemarie! This is the kind of exact video that I was looking for. Very practical. I am new in US and feel confused with lots of things but this will make me very confident! I think the contents of the English class must be different like this from the ones of my country when we live in English speaking country. Thank you!
We agree on the love of coffee. I say a coffee when you´re sad, when you´re happy, alone or in company. It´s the best option when you wake up. Without coffee the live would be worse.
I like the slightly sweet, nutty-flavored coffee. So I always ask the staff in the coffee shops to spread some ground of pecans or hazelnuts on the foam of my latte.
Well, I am a coffee person too. My favourite kind of coffee is latte. I ´ve been living in Spain, but I am Brazilian. In my country, I love having a "café carioca", it´s mean a short and not strong coffee. This is a fantastic way to start my day.
Thank you for these nice topics...your simplicity is great.. American serve coffee in a generous way ... refills rather then the British.. tiny cups..!!
Hi !!! AnnMarie: thanks for your comments. And I would like to tell you that I can't begin my day without a cup of coffe. I don't know why I always get nervous when i want to order and need moré time but now I know its better to said sorry. I haven't decided yet. You go ahead. I like a lot your class. Thanks. Regards
Hey Annemarie, more one sensational video. It looks simple but it sometimes can be a nightmare LOL. I'm living in New Zealand and there is a tiny difference when we order. It was pretty nice learning with those differences that you taught us. For example, usually when the counter asks us if it's drink there or to go the counter says " have here or take away?". Pretty cool learning the American way. Thanks again. Cheers.
I love drinking a cup of Americano with ice, one or two pumps of syrup, every morning just like you.My new day cannot be started without a cup of coffee.
Hello miss Anne Marie, I've just discovered your videos, I think they're amazing, the lessons are so helpful, clear and fun. I really appreciate your commitment in teaching English, of course you got a new subscriber and follower. Thanks a lot. Saludos desde México!!!

That was a very helpful video, thank you. And my favorite kind of coffee is a specialist coffee, or an espresso. Also I haven’t visited English speaking countries, but I will, in the next months -inshallah-
Thank you for this lesson. It seems easy but no. I was in the US two years ago and I went to Starbucks and got overwhelmed and confused with the line and the big number of coffee choices. I wish I listened to this lesson before :)
When you buy food at restaurants or food markets in Singapore, they always ask "Having here or take away?" instead of using "Is it for here or to go?". I wonder if these expressions are common in the US, too.
Hello, i’m Naomi from Italy. I’m very surprised to listen that You say latte as in Italy and not Milk, so in USA i have to say latte? In Italy the coffe al the bar is the espresso coffee, very short and strong, but i personally prefer decaffeinato one. Thank You. Bye

Speak Confident English I would go for almond milk. I suppose that almond milk can be a good alternative of milk to me. Thank you for asking. :)
Thanks 🙏 again and again! Great job done!

Double shot ice shaken white mocha is my favorite coffee all the time☺️

I'm so glad it was helpful!
When you buy food at restaurants or food markets in Singapore, they always ask "Having here or take away?" instead of using "Is it for here or to go?". I wonder if these expressions are common in the US, too.
Those are not as common in the U.S. but they may be used in another English-speaking country.
@@Speakconfidentenglish Thank you so much for your clarification. Have a good day!
Thanks so much! Now about my preference.. well, I prefer just pure coffee. Best wishes.
