At the end of the order, the server would need to rewind it.

I did not know that there even exists such a sophisticated way of ordering a simple cup of coffee. 😄
As an almost native speaker of British English (Scottish Gaelic is my mother tongue) I always begin a request of this kind with “Please may I have……”. I have found through experience when ordering goods or services that the “Please may I” opening with a smile is best and generally very well received by people providing the service I want. Its pleasant, courteous and polite all in one. I definitely recommend it.

My son used to tell me these kinds of orders from customers (not all of them of course) when he was working at one of the Starbucks’ branches near our house when he was in HS. He said it was an interesting experience because he met people from different countries with different English accents and articulations.

Hi Lucy. I didn't even understand your Starbucks order. 🙂 Perhaps because I bought a Starbucks coffee once. Just once. My reaction to that experience is clearly shared by many Australians because we have a very strong coffee culture, albeit a relatively short one. For that, at least in Melbourne, I am grateful to the arrival of Italian and Greek immigrants in the late 40's and 50's. I remember visiting Lygon Street in Carlton in the early 60's where we discovered the joys of European style espresso machines. These days, almost everyone I know has some sort of coffee machine at home, ranging from the entry level pod machines to more sophisticated cappuccino style machines. I've watched a few of your videos and love listening to your mellifluous voice.
