Thanks for this interview, and thank you, Lori, for your thoughts about making friends. It sounds like there are mostly couples in The Villages, and it's good to know that singles are welcome, too.
I would try going to some of the Rec Centers near you and trying out some of the classes there and meet people there. You can also check out The Daily Sun Thursday insert that lists all the classes throughout The Villages for the week. If you don’t subscribe to the paper, Rec Centers usually have copies at the root desk area. Also if you are tempted, join FB only to join any clubs of interest…. Once u make some connections either at the Rec centers or online, they may move to emails or websites to coordinate gatherings. I hope this helps a little. I would also go and socialize at Sawgrass Grove and see who you might meet. Boozy Bingo on Mondays could be a fun option! Good luck!!

I’m one of those who are not on any social media nor want to be. Not sure if I have options. I am new here down in Dabney.

Why is she moving? Need something larger or smaller?
She wanted something a little bigger and she’s still in a great neighborhood up north…
