- Cliffe Knechtle has a great conversation with college students at a campus in the southwest US.
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

Checkout Cold Case Christianity, Warner Wallace was an atheist and detective who used his detective skills to determine if the gospels were actually true. In the end the evidence was overwhelming and he then became a Christian. Study the gospels for yourself and ask God to reveal himself to you. You only get one shot to know the truth before you die.
As I understand it, when God created the Angels, he gave them free will to either remain in holy estate or choose otherwise. So, after Lucifer CHOSE foolish pride over his own creator, in his wisdom, God allowed it to run it's course. If God had destroyed Lucifer or even strong armed him, all of the other angels would have rightfully deemed God a dictator, which goes against his very nature and cannot be. 1/3rd of the angelic host followed Lucifer, becoming the fallen angels (Rev 12:4, Jude 1:6). This event gives a deeper understanding as to why God allowed Lucifer into the Garden of Eden to tempt Eve, as well as the demonic host into the 2nd heaven to tempt humanity. His whole creation, comprising of matter, space, energy, and most distinctly, time, allows for a massive decision making process through our free will. Either be humble enough to choose God, or choose foolish pride.

There's no free will, choice is an illusion.
Choose god or dont is a zero sum fallacy. Its the thinking of a dictator because the third option is Im not convinced and therefore I cannot honestly make a choice. You've actually proved that god is a dictator in your assertion that god is not a dicator! And that is why Christianity fails both morally and rationally. It doesnt allow for the third option which is completely reasonable and a moral being would allow it.
Furthermore why create humans at all with the capacity to either go to heaven or hell? If the angels had a free will to choose god or not why the need to create humans with the same choice at all? Why create this physical world at all if god has his followers already? If angels can choose god or not then the physical world becomes completely irrelevant and unnecessary!

It comes down to seriously and honestly considering the evidence for where existence comes from. This leads many to conclude that there is a God or Creator of some kind. Next, who is this God? Just like the existence of gravity, the answer is specific, objective, and absolute. I pray you will take this search seriously. I used to be a staunch atheist, but I kept wondering where Jesus and the evidence for his miracles and resurrection fit in that world view.

I don't care if other people like me or not. What I care about is that God loves me and I wish I had been able to feel this earlier in my life. I always knew God was there and I prayed and went to church but I couldn't take it in because I had a malignant narcissistic mother so I lived decades in guilt as did my brother who committed suicide. I always pray to God please let me live long enough to have a bit of happiness and now I have that deep Joy that comes from a close relationship with my heavenly father his son and the holy Spirit. :-)

I’m not saying it isn’t important, but when you’re evangelizing to young adults you don’t get bogged down in the minute details like infant baptism, the sabbath, end times eschatology, etc, you stick to the big picture, that Jesus died for our sins and offers salvation freely, that He actually exists and that He roamed the earth fully God and fully man, and that He will return again. *Most* other stuff is supplementary however there’s still key things to believe

I think that the idea of there being a god is much more rediculous. Because i am alive, now. I know that and can prove that. However, a god is a being that can control parts of reality with supernatural abilities. And the best evidence for gods are their scriptures in religion or mythologies, which have the same amount of proof in them as Superman comics do.

@@georgebradley4583 You're saying how i'm intelligently designed. However, the human body is riddled with flaws. For example, the appendix has no real benefit to our body. The only thing it does for us is get appendicitus which could seriously damage you. The thing that's supposed to protect our vital organs (the rib cage) will be the thing to destroy vital organs if broken. Not to mention the fact that some people are born without hands or feet. Not very intelligent for god to do that.
Another thing that is poor design if god did design it, our main light source (the sun) gives us skin cancer. How is that intelligent design?
If your main reason for there being a god is 'Everything's so perfect.' then look at reality. Most things could be improved and are far from perfect. Humans could be designed so much better if there was an intelligent designer.
Also, prayer doesn't work. There have been studies showing this. Look for yourself, you'll find many to show that prayer doesn't do anything. Also, he won't reveal himself to you. You may take a random occurance to think that he has revealed himself, but that's just you trying to make it seem like a sign.

That’s why Jesus Christ came and died so we might receive everlasting life with our new body. But even in our fallen state we can see the amazingness of God’s creation. Don’t harden your heart, be open, this life will come and go, in a veritable twinkling of an eye.
The Sovereignty of GOD is the most difficult doctrine to accept. Notice I did not say understand but accept.
Scripture implies to us that ALL things are done by GOD through HIS sovereignty, providence and decreed plan. Psalm 115:3 Our GOD is in the heavens and HE does what HE pleases.

I have come across anticatholics who refuse to believe that Jesus was talking literal about the Eucharist. These same people mockingly say that they want proof that Jesus was talking literal. However, they refuse to accept the scientific results of Eucharistic miracles because of its association with the Catholic Church.

When I was a small child, like say 4 or 5 years old I believed there was a supernatural creator God.
I also remember hearing people saying all the time " if He would just SHOW Himself " and remember thinking to myself how it made sense to me

I think a better question to ask is this..."How is it Lucifer would rebel and succeed in getting 1/3 of the Angels to join him in that rebellion, when they were in the very presences of God and Saw God's Magnficience and power and might....what entered them to think they could even dethrone such a Being...and where did such a thought arise IF Lucifer and these angels were the source of the original evil...from what source did the evil thoughts first come to Lucifer...and the others....Keep in mind, they were perfect too...initially...so Where did the evil thought spring from. If you say, within them, then they were NOT initially perfect, they were sinful. At least with man, before he rebelled, he had a "tempter" that also deceived....WHO or What decieved the Angels to rebel and think an evil thought and thus arose to rebel against God when they were in the very presents of God and were eye-witnesses to His Glory...and yet, a thought so dillusional could take hold as to the idea that they could dethrone God...Now...Where did that come from!

God's thoughts are not thoughts, His ways are higher than our ways, it is really difficult to get absolute answers to these questions, but God gave an intelligent mind to Cliffe to at least enlighten the minds of the skeptics, after all, we are all skeptics, it is in our nature as human beings

@@picitnew the thing is everyone has a conscience... and from a young age, they would not have done those crimes. But it is taught and handed down. And beaten into them by people and everyone does know they are committing crimes but they don’t know how to stop because of their influence. But if they would just think logically that there are people who are living very well and don’t need to be criminals, that the wisdom to change is out there. They could go and study how to have a better life. And listen to that inner voice always saying you’re more than this come find truth.

There's actually evidence of God's Existence in Christianity. First of all there's proof that Jesus of Nazareth existed in history since the writings of Tacitus, Josephus Flavius, Pliny the younger and other historical documents prove that He was living two thousand years ago that even scholars both religious and Atheists agree with historically speaking but not that He's The Divine Son of God because obviously they don't.
I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict.
Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers.

The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word.
Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. The NIV uses rape for the verse he referred to, but the word FOR rape is not in that verse. The verse is consensual sex with two unmarried. The verse with rape says the rapists are to be put to death. But i like how he addressed the root of the question and not the question.

I love Cliffe and his style of teaching, where gets hung up sometimes is his belief in free will. How can you have free will when God knows the beginning from the end. Free will means you can do something that god does not know about and if you have free will you can lose your salvation.

God does not write down your actions, he is outside of time and space therefore he can see what YOU will do with your own free will.
Sex outside of marriage is proof of dishonor, which is the opposite of love. Love is honor. If you love marriage/family, the opposite sex and yourself, you will reserve sex for marriage only, to strengthen marriage, to engage in marriage, to choose and bond with your spouse intimately.

It is the ideology of eternal life that is a problem. There is no eternal life. The thought of eternal life makes us feel we are going to live forever. God gave us free will because we have a short time. God does not want us to suffer that's why he did not give us eternal life.

Simple answer...Because of our sins. We would die instantly because of his holiness. Even the holy angels can't look upon his full glory. They can only stand so far within his presence even in their sinlessness. When sin is put down forever, the saved will get new bodies that will be able to stand in his presence and look upon his face. The lost will see him from the greatest distance...hell.
Exodus 22:16 isn’t about rape in the Hebrew it’s about if a guy hooks up with a virgin girl ( consensual) has to pay the price and marry the girl; actual rape is explained in Deuteronomy 22:24 “But if the man encounters an engaged woman in the open country, and he seizes and rapes her, only the man who raped her must die.”

case is like that of someone who attacks and murders a neighbor,

We don't have a free will. We lost it when Adam chose to sin, so we r born already on our freewill-that is hating God.

RE: Why did G-d create lucifer? The truth is, G-d created an Angel, and He (because of free will given from G-d), lucifer, created his own 'persona'. In other words, G-d creates loving beings, but we are the ones who re-invent ourselves into something different than what G-d has planned. G-d does not interfere with our free will, but we will definitely face judgement, based on our will.
God knows exactly what would convince non believers that He exists.
So what is the problem?
The answer to why God allows us to be tempted by evil is to facilitate free will under certain designed conditions, the opportunity to do good while overcoming opposition. There is an observable law that in this universe there is opposition in all things. Jesus taught about this in the Sermon on the Mount:

If God were to reveal himself to us, we would all die.
When we die do our souls go to heaven and then our bodies are returned to us at the second coming or what people call judgment Day?? This way is heavy on my heart and I would like an answer please.
The general consensus is that we immediately go to Heaven or Hell, but even if we do rest in the ground for a while, it's only for a while.

So, what if a person has been put into a life where they can't have access to the "evidence" of gods existence. what is they're incable of understanding and believing in these evidence or even the concept of god.
Free will. but I didn't choose to have the mindset of not believing in a thing. I was born into a life that made me experience things that led me opposite of believing certain things.
How lucky it is to have a Christian parent then. but god really didn't want me to believe in his existence and birthed me into a family that didn't teach me "the truth". or is it taht when I was a little child, I had free will to leave the house andenter the nearest church.

@@davodavo9946 oh He will, but not because we demanded it. Jesus will call his followers up to Heaven to escape the wrath God's going to pour out on the earth. Afterwards, Jesus and those that are in Heaven at the time, will come down in one last battle against evil, this is known as the Battle of Armageddon. Then Jesus and the saints will reign over the earth for a thousand years with Satan locked away in chains.
Even with Jesus physically present and ruling, Satan locked away so he can't tempt anyone, people still will not want to follow Jesus. They will still rebel.

Many ask the question why doesn't God come down and prove he exist but if you read the following passages he explains this clearly in the bible.

Considering an all powerful god, how would human minds determine arrogance or humility of this god? Highly limited interpretations, guessing. Like ants attempting interpretation of why their ant hill was crushed. Plus, humans assume any potential god embodies human qualities, intentions, motivations.

He revealed Himself in the most humble way possible. The all powerful God of the universe became a small child, with all the indignity that comes with it, became a servant of the people (His own creation), allowed Himself to be beaten, tortured, spit on, mocked, stripped, and nailed to a cross to pay for the wrong you and I have done. Now, tell me that is not a humble and loving God with any amount of seriousness, and I'll show you someone blinded by hatred for someone they claim not to even believe in.
It was said to me more than a couple times that free will made it inevitable that Adam or Eve would inevitably sin and I get it, I can agree with that conclusion and love demands freedom to choose so it begs an important question, how will God handle free will in heaven? Free will must be afforded or else we are just programmed to behave and that’s not love so how will God deal with the eventuality that one might unknowingly or knowingly sin when one in heaven? If God has a plan for this or somehow transforms us into sinless beings than why wasn’t this afforded to mankind in our earthly lives?
It was afforded to mankind in the beginning. The only difference between Heaven and earth from Genesis 1 and 2 is the presence of Satan and his angels to tempt us. Had the serpent not tempted Adam and Eve, they would not have sinned. The same goes for us in Heaven. Our free will will be intact.
You don't have to do that
