    The list of names at 3:45 and 29:55 for some reason is incomplete and I didn't catch it prior to upload, so to my dear community members whose names didn't make it in: I apologize, please forgive me 🥲
    Head to 20:09 if you want to skip the unboxing and setup, and get straight to my experience using the S1 to print in various materials. I wont be offended.. but you'll miss out on some pretty fun moments.
    Also a couple of extra things maybe worth mentioning that weren't said in the video:
    The printer has a lidar camera and can inspect first layer performance, but I did not notice and wasn't ever given any notifications or interruptions by the machine about it.
    The camera has AI monitoring, so it can do cool stuff like spaghetti detection.
    Filaments used
    White Flsun PLA HS
    Yellow Esun ePLA+HS
    Black Creality Hyper CF-PLA
    Black Esun PETG
    Black Esun eTPU-95A

    I really appreciate your "I just want it to work out of the box" approach. I'm very much this same way, which is why I bought a Bambu P1S. I admire the folks who tinker and whatnot, but I just want to print out terrain so I can make dioramas. I don't want to focus on minutia. Thank you!

    So, this thing would be fantastic for rapid prototyping. As a hobby user, or at someone who makes artistic bits, it's not very good. The high speed clearly effects the print quality as well, and the faster the printer goes, the more cooling it needs -- and the louder the fans. But for someone working on devices who needs to test out a bunch of parts fast, this machine is honestly pretty dreamy.

I feel the same about Deltas, I don't need another printer, but they are fun to watch. The fan doesn't need to run at 100% for most prints (40-50% normal prints). If you are running full speed set the fan to 100 on overhangs. I also agree some profile tuning is needed. Great video

    i dont have an active chamberheater and i print abs and nylon with very low warp if any. i have insulated the printer with thicc foamplates on three sides and the top to keep the temps up with extraction fan on max :) about 45-50c works best imo. the plate heats the chamber in most cases to an acceptable level if the speeds are low enough and the temp is juuuuust right. fdm can be a pain. but there are many masochists?

      So I looked it up; FLSUN claims this thing has a max flow rate of 110mm/s for PLA, and Bambu CoreXY printers only claim to do 22mm/s. I’m sure there are ways to make it quieter but I don’t think you can avoid the mini jet engine sounds when it’s trying to cool *that* much plastic.
      That being said, my P1P was obnoxiously loud when I got it and they’ve since fixed that with a firmware update that added sound dampening. It’s *very* possible FLSUN could do something similar.

    @KolMan2000 Месяц назад

    I just think the flaw with this machine is they tried too hard to break speed records for consumer printers and missed a lot of points that make it not great for much else. One large thing is that it sucks in air from the outside of the printer for the CPAP, which, while this is great for getting cold air for PLA and TPU, is not good for when you want to actually enclose the printer for ABS, ASA, Nylon, PC, etc. Also I can’t recall if he stated there was any form of exhaust air filtration on this, which combined with the pumping of outside air into the chamber means all the stink and heat inside the printer will just constantly be leaking out. I’m hesitant to see this as anything other than a PLA/TPU/PETG printer since it’s not going to be able to properly cool enclosed materials without causing a ton of warping due to excessive cooling and bad chamber temps. Only way would likely be using a purge tower and minimum layer times to reduce the need for cooling. It seems like a very well engineered (and in some ways over engineered) machine but there’s just some design choices that mean users are going to have to considerably modify it to use it for stuff that was even advertised to be printable on it.
