This is a fallacy based on an ‘average age’ that was pushed higher by infant mortality rates in the Medieval era. The life expectancy in the Medieval times was ~30 because the infant mortality was horrible. Over half of all children who were born, died before they made five. But if you made 5, you very likely also made 50, and there were good chances you could see 70. People who survived past the critical first years, lived well into old age minus unusual sudden deaths from accidents and such. When ‘Marriage’ was invented, it had very little to nothing to do with love. You got married (especially as a woman) to improve your station or your family’s status or both. And to create heirs for whatever the family owned. Love had nothing to do with it. And age gap marriages (namely older established men being married to young girls 🤢🤮 ) were more common. Therefore husbands dying well in advance of their wives was more common. But it didn’t mean he dropped dead at 30 as 30 was likely when they paired him with some 14-17 year old girl to marry. (And I do mean 'paired'. Compared to the history of 'Marriage', picking your own spouse cause of 'feelings' is a fairly modern concept)

I say this about Love Is Blind and both Ultimatum formats, we need more episodes. I would LOVE to see so many more moments between each couple. I want to see those "boring" moments just the car ride with Sam and Tiff becahse that made me so happy. It was nice to see day-to-day living.
I think lexie and Mals relationship was sabotaged on both sides. Ray confessed to lexi that she cheated even when she promised lexi that she wouldn’t which made her feel betrayed and hurt. Then we find out at the reunion that Yolie was messaging mal throughout the whole experience, telling her not to worry about Xander, so Mal always had it in her mind that her and Yolie were fine. They were preoccupied with their exes and they couldn’t give each other a chance

Yeah without context Tiff looked kinda rude, but once we got to see how they were when not in combat mode, and how well Tiff communicates and deeply they think, it shone a new light on everything. At 51:00 I can totally see where Tiff is going. I think Xander straddled the fence too much, but I can understand why. Their emotional ass fell in love with someone after a few weeks(Yoly) and now they have to tell that to someone they've known for YEARS(Vanessa) and not only that, you told that person(Vanessa) that you wanted to marry them not even a month ago. Xander was playing both sides and I saw it. It left a bad taste in my mouth.

Lexi's dad is entirely wrong about life expectancy. Many children died in the first few years of life, akd therefore an "average" is not a statistically significant metric if those early deaths are included. If infant mortality is removed, the average age was closer to 50 with some living into their 70s. While not nearly as long as our age expectancies these days, their marriages lasted much longer than the 7 years Vanessa's dad suggested. Statistics are helpful, but in many ways they can be subjective and manipulated by the interpreter - in this case, Vanessa's dad wants to live a more transient life without long commitments (which is fully within his right) and has used a faulty statistic to justify it to others.
I think Mal and Lexi were into each other until Lexi got obsessive about Vanessa and it turned Mal off.

There are real people like Aussie who believe trauma is a good enough justification to walk away or not engage with someone emotionally and simply run away when the other person trying to make it work very well may also be dealing with something, but doesn’t have that same support. Just because Sam is cool with Aussie doesn’t mean make Aussie’s behavior okay. That sort of reasoning doesn’t even help people like Aussie, it just enables them further.

Yeah, I think that Lexi saw alittle of herself in Vanessa and went on the offense. Even Rae said that Vanessa and Lexi were similar. Lexi was against Vanessa being explicitly sexual, and yet right after the show Lexi now has an onlyfans and is promoting it :/ She seems rather sexually proud, I don't know why she was so up in arms with Vanessa's "jokes". At 51:00 I can totally see where Tiff is going. I think Xander straddled the fence too much, but I can understand why. Their emotional ass fell in love with someone after a few weeks(Yoly) and now they have to tell that to someone they've known for YEARS(Vanessa) and not only that, you told that person(Vanessa) that you wanted to marry them not even a month ago. Xander was playing both sides and I saw it. It left a bad taste in my mouth.
Tiff is awesome and comes off well-rounded in terms of providing a less black and white perspective of the cast; Kari is a bit off-putting and comes off as someone who is a bit on her high-horse judging the cast without self-reflection

Why does everyone use the silver cups, mugs, & wine glasses on the show and I see them in your podcast? I noticed they even get used in the restaurants, and other guests have typical cups.
I believe it has to do with editing and making sure the audience can’t tell when there had been edits by making sure they can’t see how much liquid is in the cup or not. I hope this make scene and doesn’t seem too wordy 😅 Tiff briefly talked about it in the prior video.

Lexi's dad is entirely wrong about life expectancy. Many children died in the first few years of life, akd therefore an "average" is not a statistically significant metric if those early deaths are included. If infant mortality is removed, the average age was closer to 50 with some living into their 70s. While not nearly as long as our age expectancies these days, their marriages lasted much longer than the 7 years Vanessa's dad suggested.
