As a Padres fan I was stoked with the new jerseys. We've been asking for the return of brown simply because dark blue has become so generic. It's cool that teams are embracing more unique color schemes again. I also really like the Brewers new unis, probably because as a former Chargers fan I already enjoy the color scheme. The Padres had an alternate with a similar color scheme a few years back and it was one of my favorites.
Brewers couldn’t win playoff games because the baseball gods were like “You are not allow to win until you figure out how to make a good jersey that doesn’t make me puke”
I'm a uniform collector and Met fan. The jerseys are made by Nike only in name. They bought out the Majestic factory in Easton, Pennsylvania and the uniforms are being made there the same way they were under Majestic. The Nike jerseys are using the same template as the Majestic Flexbase uniforms. The only difference is that they put the makers mark on the chest instead of the sleeve and changed the branding of the jock tags. These uniforms are NOT being made by Nike. MLB rules stipulate the uniform must be made in the US so they are essentially paying Majestic to make the jerseys under the Nike brand. That's also why the price has gone up. For example the Milwaukee road jersey now retails for over $450 (!!!). Nike being involved is bad for baseball and bad for sports merchandise as a whole. The replica jerseys that most fans purchase will also now be made by Fanatics and will be of much lower quality, presumably, then the Majestic merchandize it's replacing. As a collector it's upsetting to see the price of Authentic jerseys go up to such high levels. They were expensive enough as it was now they're charging close to $500 for a jersey. As far as design goes Nike has had NO input on the team's designs. These uniforms are being completely designed in house by the teams. You can read interviews with the Padres front office that talks about the process of designing the uniforms. Nike does not have as much input on uniform design as they had on the NBA. As far as the Mets black goes, meh. It's nostalgic if you remember the teams from the 2000s but black is not a Mets color and it was initially added to the team's uniforms just to sell more hats and jerseys. I don't think it has a place in the lineup especially since black was removed from the rest of the lineup prior to the 2012 season. I wouldn't mind it as a one off throwback though perhaps to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 2000 pennant winning team next season.
As a Brewers fan, I'm extremely excited we got new jerseys. They look amazing, not to mention the Milwaukee Bucks got new jerseys a couple years ago. It feels nice to see our jerseys finally change as we turn into contenders
The big problem with the new Diamondbacks jerseys is that while they made all these subtle changes, they also got rid of the purple throwback uniforms that everyone likes. Big downgrade. It's their best uniform by far.
The Dbacks were good with the purple and teal colors then in 2006 they went crazy and changed their colors to red and their jerseys kept on changing after that.
The brown and gold Padres unis take me back to my teen years in San Diego. Never liked the change to blue. Glad the old colors are back, but not quite the "Taco Bell" look 😄
I’m a d backs fan but I’m out in San Diego I’m thinking about low key getting some padres gear even tho they are a division rival I still go see there games since I’m out here
I feel it is perfectly acceptable to cheer for your real home team and the team that belongs to the city you are now working/living in even if they are rivals.
The Brown is BACK in San Diego!!! Love the new jersey’s and the fact they went back to a traditional & unique color. Even tho my favorite color is blue and I grew up watching the mid-late 1990’s blue & while pinstripes and white “S” & orange “D” caps... nothing beats them going back to Brown with Gold
Love the Padres look, their last set was so dull and boring. Brewers are ok, I think they should have gone with the lighter blue throwback look personally
The brewers did amazing with those logos I mean I love the ball one with the wheat stitches. And that barrel man is kind of a throw back old day looking logos I like the retro
Huge D-Backs fan bro. Started watching in their infancy and became a fan of Johnson but......HATED the old team colors. The Rockies have a cool purple but the teal, purple and gold didnt do it for me. Been a fan of their jerseys with the initial change back in 05 or 06 when they switched to the red color. Was a huge fan of the db snake logo on the sleeve too. Then they changed again. Initially I couldn't stand the gradient snake skin look but in person they looked good...plus they went back to the old logo just updated. Now with these new ones for 2020 I am happy except for the damn Nike logo lol. Back to a clean look with the additions of the new look. Just my personal opinion though. Everyone has their likes and dislikes
9:00, I like what you did with the old Met Jersey. Could you find an old jersey for every team and should be brought back. Leave a like if Marc should do it or you agree
I'm a Cubs fan from Scotland so at times it's a bit difficult to keep up with all the baseball news so this Nike stuff was brand new to me.....if they're doing this with every team I'm really keen to see to see what they do with our jerseys. Love the channel, keep up the great work 🤙🏻⚾
Alex Cora (Now RED SOX Manager) AJ Hinch Carlos Beltran (Now Mets Manager) We’re all in charge of the scandal what do u guys think will happen and by the way I’m not first
Biggest changes to Dbacks unis: 1)Removed Snakeskin on jerseys (I personally liked). 2)Changed the color of the away jerseys from the dark grey (I also liked) to a more traditional shade. 3) made letters dark with light borders. (I believe most of the outlines were darker colors)
@Beatsro 23 Idk about that. For the NFL, although the Seahawks, Vikings, and Jets unis are nice, the Titans, Bucs, Browns, Jags (both times), Dolphins, and Lions unis have been pretty bad. NBA has had major problems with material quality and those city uniforms have ranged from okay to comically bad. MLB uniform changes have looked really good so far though.
@GiraffeNeckMarc - The Milwaukee Brewers are actually named after the Milwaukee Brewers, a team that played in 1901 in Milwaukee, which is now known as the Baltimore Oriels.
OMG, I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE those new Brewers unis!!! Awesome that they resurrected the glove logo - and the new colors look FANTASTIC!! And I am a Yankee fan saying this. And Kudos to the Padres for finally bringing back the brown & gold colors, the "swinging Padre" on the sleeve patch, and sharp looking new unis. Add the Orioles recent resurrection of the cartoon bird logo, and we're seeing a return to the old 70's unis & logos, many of which I think are still great. These are the unis of my childhood with a twist. Any chance we can get the Astros to bring back those rainbow stripe unis? Once again - Brewers get an A+ from me on those unis. AWESOME!!!
Same.... big Red Sox fan and the fact that we won’t wear the red hats with our home and road uniforms boggles my mind..... we play in a division with blue and black centered teams.... most of the AL wears blue.... the Red Sox need red hats, the Indians need to go back to red sleeves and socks, the rangers need to introduce more red into their color scheme, and the twins need go back to the red hats of the early 80s.... there’s just too much blue in baseball, especially in the AL.... the NL at least has a healthy amount of red centered teams
What do you think of the away Grey's compared to the old graphite greys. Personally I liked the graphite grey since it differentiated them from other teams. I would've liked it better if the cleaned up the graphite.
Do you know what I think? I think teams should not worry about what there jersey's look like they should worry about filling the mission what every kid at 12 years old wants is there team to bring home a world series championship that's whats important a team bringing home the title? so it can be the San Diego Padres , Milwaukee Brewers, San Francisco Giants , Seattle Mariners, Chicago Cubs, Kansas City Royals it's the same mission in other sports Hockey The Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks, Colorado Avalanche, New York Rangers , Carolina Hurricanes Football same Mission Oakland Raiders, Atlanta Falcons, Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings , Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns same mission to win a championship for your city so all people can celebrate but the kids will remember it most of all. I would worry about this more than what a jersey looks like?
LOVE the new retro Brewers jerseys... the pinstripes are a nice flashback to the AL champion team of 1982. Padres going back to brown and gold? HELL YES!! I might have to make the 2 hour drive to Petco Park just to see those in person
The problem with baseball is if anyone does anything new or different its looked down on (not saying you more in general). Eg if you looked up best jerseys ranking teams like the cardinals and yankees would be near the top even tho they are quite plain but they are 'classic'. The dbacks big update a couple years ago was not met with much support but they looked sick - its because they're knew and less traditional looking. Aside from that, big fan of the new brewers and padres uniforms.
Brewers went 80's retro & Pads went 70's retro both in a good way. Barrel Man goes back to 1970 when Brewers arrived to WI from Seattle. I also saw the Swinging Friar on the Pads Jersey which goes back to Pads AAA days, nice. Los D-Backs is perhaps better than Los Cascabel Diamantes.
Derek Jeter has never had a season better than Trevor Story, Marcus Semien, Corey Seager and even Carlos Correa best season lol. Change my mind Marc!!! Dwayne Haskins plays a better SS than Jeter.
When you look at Story's numbers at Coors Field and outside Coors Field, you'll realize he probably doesn't belong on the list. One day he's going to become a free agent and someone is going to overpay for him big time.
The big change for the Dbacks, beyond ditching the snakeskin shoulders & hat (they'd ditched the pants after the first year of them), is changing to a lighter gray for the road jerseys. They had been using the darkest option for away jerseys until now.
I usually agree with most of your thoughts and I'm a fellow Mets fan, but the disagree on the Mets black jersey's. I would just stick with the traditional. The black just look like softball uni's!
Full Blast Podcast keep hoping ! It ain’t happening! Why would they change it when Aaron judge has the highest selling jersey 3 years in row ? You change it to rebrand and sell the Yankees don’t need rebranding they just SELL
I didn’t know the D-Backs had changed their jerseys until watching this.
I like the dbacks

I hope Angels change their Jersey too. Too plain and dull.
I'd love to see a color combo similar to what they wore when they were branded as the Anaheim Angels in the late 90s. Was a big fan of those
