Alan Lomax first recorded this song in different versions in Appalachia. Its first commercial recording came in 1933 by Clarence Ashley in 1933 and he said he learned it from his grandfather. I am so proud that the Animals brought back this iconic song. In fact, what amazes me is how many rock stars from the 60s were influenced by jazz and blues recordings from the 1930s on. I grew up in the Deep South and New Orleans and grew up with the blues, jazz, and gospel music. Again, I'm always proud that this music is still passed from generation to generation. Thanks for your channel!
She is the Angelina Jordan of the harmonica, another special talent from the God the Creator to bless the world. I heard her got talent audition in her country of origin ,it was mind blowing.
