i remember this u2 concert..im so young in this time..13 years,,,i wait for this concert a long night..i never forget this,,u2 and zoo tv change my life 4 ever...i love u2 and this is my life,,,thanks boys,,u2 portugal
Remember seeing this on TV in 92 and could.not.wait to see the real thing. Saw the show in Sydney in 93. Still hasn't been a show since that tops it. Sure, there have been bigger and brighter shows than this - but when this happened no one had done anything like it. The impact was huge.
I think this is the best U2 footage ever made. Forget any official release. This is the one. I think that this material hasn't been commercially release because it was a knid of a partnership with Philips. I have a VHS copy of this, but since I don't have a VCR anymore, I can't watch it. Hope someday I can convert it to DVD.
My god! This is THE best U2 footage ever! I also had a VHS copy that I saw until every magnetic grain was gone and I too think that the Sydney official release is... not nearly as cool as this! Where can I get this?! :-) Thank you very much for bringing such valuable memories of 10+ years back to me! Trully priceless! :-)
RECUERDO QUE ESTE RECITAL CUANDO LO VI POR PRIMERA VEZ, ALUCINE TOTALMENTE, EN LOS AÑOS 95 APROXIMADAMENTE, CUANDO LA TECNOLOGÍA LASERDISC LLEGABA RECIENTEMENTE A CHILE.... LA CALIDAD DE IMAGEN QUE ES, GRAN RECITAL, PUESTA EN ESCENA, CALIDAD MUSICAL... TODO LO QUE U2 TIENE....
@laranjao79 just saw your response about Sydney not being nearly as cool as this. What makes this what it is... are the moving cameras. For some reason the moving cameras give U2 such a POWERFUL look and feeling. This is the main reason why Under A Blood Red Sky is still my favorite filmed show. The cameras in this and Sky give you the feeling that you are watching this in the audience. I wish we could have had a FULL show of Zootv filmed this way.
@ColorsBright I completely agree with you! :-) Hehe... I wonder if we could start some "online petition" thing that would be "loud enough" that U2 would have to listen to. And comply! ;-) This has some of their stronger live (filmed) material. Also, I'm not sure but I think that the whole Zoo TV thing is probably the most elaborate tour + stage + statement extravaganza ever. Even "The wall" by Pink Floyd isn't this elaborate (its a simple stage plus a brick of walls...).
It's been 20 years... & this STILL gives me goosebumps.

William Sauer yeah, I have my fathers ticket and it was £25
William Sauer wish I could have been there myself- but I was born in 99
Well, you're going to get to experience the Joshua Tree Tour of which I was too young to experience !
Part 2??
exclusive historical footage of the band and the tour but it has too much extra material disturbing the music.
Where was this? Could it be Anehiem? I was at that show. They literally broke the stadium!
+ckom0007
New York, from an uber cool live/video-experience/tv-broadcast-like they released back in these vhs days
@laranjao79
couldn't agree more...
0:41 "socialism means un-American" holy shit nothing changes
It was a sarcastic commentary.
