This game takes place a year after the second game, which takes place a year after the first game, which takes place 20 years after the end of the world. They are based off a book series called Metro 2033, Metro 2034, and Metro 2035. The creepy children laughing are spirits in the tunnel. There is a lot of lore and spiritual elements to the games. I would definitely recommend playing the first two

As far as the laughter goes that you hear in the tunnels, I think it goes all the way back to the first game. Artyom and a major character named Kahn are basically seeing the spirits of the people that died from the nuclear war or mutants, which means they can also hear them.
Oooooor is the radiation exposure from being out on the surface that's making him hear things

You started shooting the first video with a good game. Thank you for that. But to fully immerse yourself in the story, I also advise you to play first Metro2033, Metro Last light, Metro exodus.

Just found your channel (about a year to late lol). I played the game on Xbox One around the time you recorded this. Still like to see it again once more. By the way if you ever run into accidentally deleting files again, theres software like PC Inspector that can recover them. The data is actually still there when you delete a file, Windows merely marks the space as available to write on again, so you can still recover it aslong as nothing else gets written over that space on your hard drive. 😉

The first minutes of the game are pretty much just a mix between nostalgia and world immersion, you should really have started with the first two games to really enjoy it, but nevertheless it's such a great game by it's own that you can enjoy it without context

I ask only because the youtube channels I do follow are ones that finish a game mostly and they tend to be guys. @@LiteWeightGaming I'll point you to one of the best survival horror games, Alien Isolation. Other older gems you could try in the future are the evil within games, the two outlast games parts one and two. I'm a sucker for survival horror as you can guess now and I'm currently enjoying Monster Hunter World. Good luck on your channel :)

Watching other RUclipsrs play it made me want to watch the movies (I’ve seen 1 & 2 now - saw Prometheus ages ago b4 I knew it was a part of the saga). That game is one of my favorites and I’ve always wanted to play it!
