The Mario Galaxy games are a work of art just in their own I think. Going back to Rosalina's storybook now just hits different. Rosalina crying because even if she did go back home it wouldn't be the same anymore because her mom was dead made me feel things. Even if I played these games again they would feel different because me and my siblings are older now. We've changed, and it would still be fun don't get me wrong, but I can never go back to those carefree days I had playing on the Wii when I was 8, and there's a sadness in that. Of course I'm also a lot better at staying on the road in Mario Kart then I was back then so I guess there are positive things about the experience too. Basically this is your invitation to play both of the Mario Galaxy games and also Super Paper Mario (and all the other Paper Mario games, but you know this is a video about the Wii so I mentioned the game that was on the Wii) Other than that my favorite game to play with the family was Smooth moves because it used one controller everyone in the family could play instead of someone have to share a Wii remote and be a "team" or having to take turns (big family struggles, am I right 😂) although Mario party 8 was a blast
The main music styles that can be listed for the Wii are Bossa Nova & Japanese Electronica! There's also Jazz in the Photo Channel with the Doodle theme, and more classical sounding themes, like the Forecast Channel Daytime music used here in this video, that one is Waltz! The thing I love so much about the music is how it is all authentically written, each style is fundamentally understood. It's one of the main reasons why Kazumi Totaka is my favorite composer!
I honestly prefer the more "ambient" (If that makes anysense) Wii music music like the Wii menu theme itself and Wii Shop banner music. Great video as always
Yesss, the ambient Wii (and Wii U) music is amazing. The ds, 3ds and playstations’ too. It’s a shame that modern systems are losing their ambient music. Thanks!! Glad you enjoyed :)
I love this analysis- the "joys of daily life" thing really hit close to home. Stuff like having a little app on your console to check the weather as black cat laid with you on the loading screen, or the adorable polls you could do with other people around the world just as a part of the console where you got to see the real results of players responding to fun questions which gave you a small little thing to look forward to.. it's something I appreciate deeply about the wii and I hope something someday tries to recapture the magic.
I like this! Is the idea for the channel (going off your name "undefined") to explore vague feelings / ideas / aesthetics that are not really talked about?
Yeah, kinda!! I just thought undefined clicked and that it fit, sort of for this reason. But you really put it into words!! Also, I think it sounds pretty cool. And I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
I remember when my parents got us a Wii back in 2006. I still have it to this day. It still works, and my sister and I still love to play games together on it. I also still play Wii Sports Resort on my computer through emulation, but it doesn't really compare to what it felt like back when it came out in 2009.
About the Welcoming concept you mention as tactic it's so interesting that the Wii controller it's like a TV remote, making it more approachable and being something already known by people who had never played a videogame before. Excellent video!
Ive just watched this for the 3rd time. This Video is a masterpiece and i come back to it every like 2 months. I just love your Account but especially this Video.
In the late 2000s I remember I wanted a wii so bad because my best friend and his brothers used to own one and whenever I went to their house we had so much fun playing wii sports, wii party and rayman raving rabbids together. At my 10 years old birthday my parents gave me a wii but I didn't have as much fun with it at my home as I had at my friend's house. One of the biggest factors on the wii was the nearly absent online multiplayer and focus on couch co-op. Being the youngest out of four siblings and having a big age gap between them, I always I played wii alone, except for when my friend came over, in those moments we always had a blast. But over all, it was no fun playing wii on my own, this made me go back to my ps2 and play solo games. But I still have some fond memories of the wii, because if it wasn't for it, I'd never find out Zelda was my favorite game franchise of all time.
a while ago i begged my parents to keep the family wii in my room and now every time i watch videos like this and get the urge to play silly little wii games the console is literally right there. and honestly im glad because it gives me the freedom to indulge in nostalgia from when i was younger whenever i feel like i want to or sometimes need to.
My Wii console died on 2021 (by an accident) but my family decided to bought it on 2012, they realized that the wii had or has many functions (included the educational games + the Mario franchises) or many stuff. It also used to support some platforms as RUclips or Netflix but sadly, it's now out of support, but we used the console more than just to play.
I miss the little touches in the Wii OS, like the music, making apps "channels", heck even the channels themselves, like Everybody Votes or Check Mii Out. The Switch OS is so bland by comparison.

Keep strong. Don't forget that despite the struggles and madness in this world today, God is full of justice, mercy and love. Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die" - if we break one in thought/word/deed it's as if we're guilty of all of them. Quite simply, living by the law (which is doing everything perfectly) is impossible for sinful humans . The law shows us that 1. We will die in Hell if we fail to follow it and 2. We cannot save ourselves BUT, 3. God's perfect, immovable law points us to Christ, who followed and fulfilled the law in thought, word and deed perfectly in our place. He did what we couldn't and did it on our behalf. He was then sentenced to death on a cross, and took our personal punishment for our sin, paying our penalty (like paying our fine) completely FOR us, and has given us freedom. If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us back into that previously perfect image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. He will help us through the struggle, the stress, and anything we experience in the world. It's about letting Christ in to guide and teach you and obeying Him through His power (not ourselves, we need Him to help us as it's impossible without depending on His power and instruction). He is our substitute in His life, death and resurrection. He essentially rewrote history in our place so that, if you believe in Him, it will be as if you had never sinned if you accept Christ's death as our own in our place. He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it. He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. Hes giving EVERYONE a chance, He wants everyone to take the free gift of salvation from Hell. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through His power and abiding (staying) with Him. So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to follow His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and let Him lead in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the ultimate victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, pray for Jesus to come in and He will do what we can't. Give us The Holy Spirit who will guide us in the right way. NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER. Regardless of what you've done or what you're going through you CAN make it through Jesus. If you have any questions let me know
i like your analysis of branding and your reflections on how design follows and responds to trends and needs
I'm going to really enjoy seeing how your creative process grows. Awesome vid

I also hope someday this gets recaptured, but for now we have modded Wiis with RiiConnect24 or Dolphin Emulator.
you are slowly becoming my favorite youtuber
Thank you so much ;)
Stumbled across your Frutiger Aero vid this morning. Love the way you break down these nostalgic fixtures of 00s-10s life :) Keep up the good work ♥️

This made me want to dig up my old wii just to enjoy the music and all the little details that make it so nostalgic!

This was really interesting. Thanks!
The wii memories are legendary and to this day still super fun to play! Especially wii sports series

i watch your channel as a meditation means to sleep at night
Another awesome video, keep em coming!
One of my favorite videogames ever! Alongside with PS2, PSP and Nintendo DS! ❤️
I only wish you the best and the verified AND 1 milion plus subscribers! Your videos are great
I'm having some memories coming back, and I'm also starting to realize HOW MUCH the Wii has in my mind and how I think, jeez
Your videos are so good, I'm suffering a pretty bad hangover rn and these are the perfect cure to my headache ♥️

Could you do a video on Life With Playstation and Playstation Home? For those of us that grew up on PS3, that was our version of the Wii lifestyle.
i frickin love your videos ma’am
I play frequently my wii, it is one of my most beloved video games ever
i love the nostalgia of the niche content you cover
I literally have multiple Wuhu Island wallpapers on my work computer because it calms me down.
Wii music is so timeless and fun 🤩
The things talked about in this video are all examples of the Technozen aesthetic.
I laughed way too hard at “two Maine tropes”
i still play mkw and ssbb all the time, they slap so hard especially modded

Very well done.
You deserve more subs
I loved the wii. I might honestly get it again :)
might be off topic but wuhu island screams frutiger aero man
My gf just boght a used Wii with accessories and we played it since then. Good times.

Yep doesnt seem biased at all. I liked creating my avatar on the 360
i want wii now
criminally unknown channel
Am I the only one who thinks the Shutterstock logo on half the images are funny
Was it really the Wii that first got girls into gaming? I had never heard that before.
Top wii game for me is mario kart 🏎
For me the xbox 360 kinect did its job. Amazing, especially with friends. Never owned a wii :(
i love wii
Nintendo could've just released the Game Girl instead of Game Boy. For maximum appeal, they could've gone for Game Person.
Ngl, I think that the 360 characters were just as good as the Wii’s + 3ds’
It's called bossa nova
Nice
Wii U will always be superior
The first Xbox was the exact opposite of the wii

absolutely agree
