Thank yoy, Jeremy, for all you do for us with your videos. Proud to be able to support you and the videos for all as a patreon. I am growing the best flower of my life. I am 70+, and been doing this for a long time.
you have been hitting the gym a lot it seems. great to see you happy. islam teaches just the things you do so i have great admiration for your work. being in tune with nature. i dont grow cannabis but i used a lot of your tips for organic growing of fruits and vegetables. stay blessed and best wishes my friend
Thank you for your knowledge 🙏 you have made me levele up my grow game. And the more I watch your videos and zone out listening, u answer every question I have.. without me asking. You also have I courgaed me to read more about micro biology bacteria fungal etc. If I ever travel to Colorado I would love to show my appreciation and cook for your whole team. I'm a chef BTW. Lol thank you
I was growing in 15 gallon pot b4 I became loyal to the soil !! Then I got my first 2 30gallon pots and now I'm on my first 2 100gallon take n bakes !!! Bigger is better never goin back to small pots again !!!
Love this channel so much, been watching since 2020 covid lockdown and you helped me physically and mentally when it comes to living soil you taught me to be patient and my mental health has slowly got better, you opened a doorway for me I didn’t even know existed so Thankyou Jeremy you need to pat yourself on the back for what you’ve done to my and others life’s,growing is my zen now, i fell in love with growing this plant thanks to YOU and all the family at build a soil I truly feel apart of the family even know I’m across the pond ✌🏽 Peace out love this❤🏴🇬🇧🍁🔥
I have been following the build a soil way for almost 2 years now. My plants eat better than I do. They get more diverse and robust food than I could possibly get for myself. I use Earthboxes and after you set them up it's so easy and hands off it almost feels like cheating. Thank you so much for the free information Jermey!
You know… I have thought the exact same thing. I am wondering, why do I not treat myself as well as my plants? The probiotics and aminos and coconut and beneficial bacteria…I need these things. When I see Jeremy farming, practicing martial arts, and teaching, I find inspiration. Finding balance in life through organic cannabis gardening is opening my eyes and my soul to changing my ways. I am thinking of how I can create a garden in my yard and bring these concepts full circle in my life to benefit my health to the very core. So I can consume the living soil lifestyle. I’m craving the minerals. Im craving the enzymes, aminos and probiotics. I’m craving the change!
@@jamesg1425 I do have a garden and I love it. Just a couple 3x12 raised beds. I only grow tomatoes, onions, peppers, and herbs though. I make my own sauce. The stuff in the store sux.
@7munkee beck yeah that sounds fantastic. I know from my friend's garden I don't need a ton of room either, they had one big bed and always had excess. I want to use the excess for a worm bin
Yea there soil is double the price it used to be not that long ago but it is a great product. I just wish they would do 1.5 cubic feet like the other living soils
How do you prefer to store soil? I’ve just finished my first grow and am now starting my second. I’ve reused my BAS 3.0 and reammended, but after the reammend with my worm bin and whatnot, I have leftover soil. I currently have it in a Rubbermaid that I’ve drilled aeration holes in and gave it some worms. Would you do anything different?
Q&A question what Blumat milbar range do you target that works best for watering and dry back. Thank you for the knowledge you provide. Also wish you’d shipping to Australia 🤙
Hey Jeremy, I'm running 15 gallon pots in my 4x4 and I'm stepping up to 30 gallons for the next run. I've been following the build a soil way and the plants are coming out great. Would you dump out the soil and fill up the 30s after mixing in more soil or "transplant" the 15s into the larger pot and fill around? Thanks!
Good stuff!! I switched to self made sub irrigated planters out of 5 gals and kitty litter buckets. Crushing it. The double yahmba I ran was insane. Almost 3/4 lb off 1 plant. Was easily 3x3. Probably could have gotten more with a bigger pot but its what I had.
Hey bro, any updates on the UK availability? Dying for some 3.0 down here! Love all the content, got my coots mix all made thanks to you and ready for a summer of love! You even gave me the confidence to pursue a career in gardening!
Thanks for another great video! What do you think about the AC infinity self watering base wicking system? I have 4 of the xl models, they seem to work well for me. Filling the bases as well as top watering when needed. Just wondering your thoughts as you have never mentioned them.
Hey Jeremy and buildasoil team, thank you for answering my question on the pay faq, that we super dope! Another question: what do you do when the container becomes full to the brim after multiple runs? Thanks again 🤙🏼
Jeremy could you please go back over the exact moisture % on an ecowitt you water to and dry back to. I think i misunderstood on a previous video. Is it different for say a small pot like a 1 gal to a 4x4 bed or even a 15 gal? Do you crop steer at all first 2 or 3 weeks with a little bigger dry back? Ive been a long time salt grower and have one 4x4 bed ive played around with for almost 10 cycles. Would like to switch everything over to it but watering has been the hardest thing to dial in. My yield has never been the best not dismal though and i believe it’s do to slightly over watering even though the plants dont show major signs of overwatering. I was going as high as 45% on ecowitt down to about 25% thank you for all the knowledge. Jon Allen
only thing I would add, would be to add a few fungus gnat traps aswell after the straw mulch, the chop n drop and the wet buffet can lead to a fungus gnat bloom, but you can catch em all if u set up enouph 😊hard to keep the buffet wet and not get gnats in my exp
I was thinking, we’re trying to simulate nature as best we can. Plants love a lot of phosphorus for flowering. What happens in nature at that particular time of year that provides that extra phosphorus? Or is it just something that’s continually being added since different plants bloom at different times of the year?
Hey Jeremy, love the video and the knowledge you spread. I live in Thailand and I’m trying to DIY your craft blend to use in my garden. The only ingredient I can’t source is the Langbeinite. Could I replace it with sulfate of potash? If so, do I mix it with the other ingredients at the same ratio? Thanks.
LMMFAO! I'm taking a break from the "optional pre-moistening" in a tote!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 And with the same stuff you just did, but with one additional ingredient.🤣 I brewed mine for about three hours. I've always done the pre moistening, I guess because I Always do my "cooking" of the media in the tote, I had never container grown anything until my first grow of cannabis. Cooking in a tote only made sense to me.
Hey Jeremy love the Q&A, I've been growing the B.A.S way for about 3 years now in 15 gallon pots using3.0 and MalibuCompost living soil. My question is this, how can over fertilizer affect the smell, taste, burn, drying, and curing process? And if so,how can I over come this issue? Is there anything I can do besides stop over loving my plants? Thanks in advance
do you have a video where, you just harvested a plant from your system here and restart another one immediately again in it and the process you use to do that? where do the roots go? or the trunk? you pull it out im sure but how? without losing any soil.
I have some old soil I made from the coot take n bake recipe in a toot that I want to use in my next run. Ideally my idea is to ramend it a few weeks prior with Amendments: 1C per CF - Craft Blend 1/2 C - Gnarly Barley 1/2 C Mineral Mixture: 4C per CF - MontanaGrow 2C per CF - Oyster Flower 1/2C per CF - Gypsum 1C per CF - Biochar 1/2 C per CF - Kashi (Handful) Earthworm Casting 10% And let it bake for a few weeks do you recommend top dressing with craft blend and buildaflower during transplant?
How do you get your plants to stay so healthy in small pots are you topdressing or just watering things in ?I find it such a battle to keep them healthy once the leaves grow out past the edge of the pot
what if 20gals have basically become worm bins ? 4th run now already even deep in the flower have fresh worm casting on top with little mulch layer on top. should i be chop n dropping more often ? more cover crop? deeper mulch layer?
Hey Jeremy I’m on my second round in my take and bake in a 3x3 and was hoping you could talk more about the different ways to apply the Big 6. You mentioned bottom watering with a tray that needs to be manually filled, can this be talked about more in the next Q and A? Is it acceptable to always have water in the tray?
Thank you for the great content, I’m on my third living soil grow and after some issues with PM on the last 2 rounds were are looking really good. I’m helping a friend right now who is looking to start growing and I am specifically looking to help her with the soil. One thing I am having issues with is a good compost that’s local. I basically keep seeing this same company, Buffalo river compost and their “best” compost is STA certified and I asked for the report. I’m thinking a video or question segment regarding compost would be a great idea, both in general and maybe how to locate and what to look for? This company is owned or something by Noco so I am a little nervous about it. What do I need to pay attention to on the report? What’s a no go?
im confused with the watering protocol. i get the 5-10% i have an ecowitt and i water at the start of lights on if it is lower than 35%. but what about transition and flower? it says “keep up” and “slow down” should i expect to always water 10% at these stages and its just about the frequency and dry back?
Why are you using Straw mulch instead of Hemp mulch? Isn't hemp mulch the more "natural" way to mulch cannabis, mimicing natur the best? As far as i red it's PH neutral and it slowly decomposes into Peat. Would be great to know. Thank you for the amazing content!
Hey Jeremy love the episode have a question my blumats at the end of the run the carrots are missing water have air gaps in them I thought maybe I had not tightened them enough so I made sure they were good and tight the next run and same thing happened is this normal thanks in advance
Hey awesome show like always, I was wondering on those tray to grows, could u put 2 plants, like using the build a soil way would the soil volume be enough for 2 plants, thanks in advance
So I’ve heard that microbes don’t do well when they’re put through a pump sprayer, the reasoning I’ve heard for this is that the high pressure and quick water pressure change can kill most of the microbial life, from what I’ve heard some will live but most will die, curious if you’ve heard this and what your thoughts are on this
Light leaks? When is it a problem, how much non direct light from an outside source can the plant receive when the lights are off before they go stretchy.
Great video. I'm just waiting for this run to finish so I can switch to build a soil everything.😊 My question is with the 15gal pots. When u chop what do u do with football? Do u leave it in and plant next to it or do u take it out and just and more soil? Looking forward to more videos so I can be loyal to the soil❤❤
Leave it in there. The roots decompose and provide air/compost channels in the soil for the new plant. After 2 to 3 weeks, you can twist the stalk and take it out, leaving the root matter in the soil. If you want to start a new run straight away, offset the initial plant from the centre.
This way, you look like you have a crisp operation. Smooth :P. LOL. Keep up the great content :D. Have you thought about a standalone seed to harvest on an autoflower? Time lapses do great with autoflowers. You could even do half topped and the other natural to see the difference it would make. GML topping is superior to conventional topping. :P.
What up doe BAS… Rod from Detroit…. Been watching a bunch of BAS videos and I’m bout ready to take the dive… I’m gonna start with 6-20 gallon Grassroots pots… but I haven’t decided on to use the 3.0 or the Coots mix…My 2 part question is, in your opinion, which would be easier to start with?…and which, in your opinion puts out the best overall product? I’m starting from seeds, but not in that soil…I’ll be growing a cover crop until the seedlings are big enough, in the Light Recipe to transplant into the 20 gallons? TIA ROD
I've got tons of soil mites all over my pots and my tent, anything I can do to knock back their populations? I don't wanna track them through my house.

My favorite channel giving me a Sunday gift! Thanks Jeremy for all of your hard work!!! We appreciate you!!!
I like the 4x4 because it it what is relatable. Keep up the smaller tent work. Please do a perpetual grow with a 4x4 as the flower tent.
Have seen 6 4x4 tent setup but never a 10x10.

I like the tray to grow. Really cool idea
walked into a new grow shop addition to a pet store in Forest Lake ,MN. BuildASoil products galore. OUTSTANDING

Yea there soil is double the price it used to be not that long ago but it is a great product. I just wish they would do 1.5 cubic feet like the other living soils
that royal is something special, jersey is doing it right 😊
Learning how to pour water in a 1 gal pot and up to a 15 gal pot learning so much!!!
Thank you for taking the time to do all this for us
i've been increasing my container size each grow until i get to 30gal or a 4x4, wasn't planned but been nice not having to buy all the soil at once
Thank you sir for this one...pretty much every question I had was answered here

Need to do more Q&A videos. They are so helpful.
Good video!
Question, How often do top-dress the craft blend?
Ordered new moisture meter. Every episode Im learning so much. Thanks for all your time and explaining everything so well
@Jeremy_Silva for sure, that would be awesome.
Thanks brother love all the content 👍👍👍👍
At this point i like the craft blend and Colorado worrm casting for the bug protection. Better safe than sorry. Has worked for years.
Best season yet.
Can’t wait to sprout some Halison. Good vibes
Also good to come to this channel and get some ideas.
Thanks for an amazing episode boys
Much ❤ b.a.s team

Keep up the great work Jeremy!
QUESTION Jeremy, I too am wanting to do this right. You say 15gl pots, super! What about a 20- or 30 gallon pot in a 4x4??
Why not just build a whole earth box in the 4x4?

the string to open the bag should be on the top right corner of the front of the bag. great video!
Thx for the tip

Mineral Mixture: 4C per CF
- MontanaGrow 2C per CF
- Oyster Flower 1/2C per CF

- Kashi (Handful)
Earthworm Casting 10%
And let it bake for a few weeks do you recommend top dressing with craft blend and buildaflower during transplant?
Thanks brother . U inspire me man, if you ever want a protege to teach im your guy ill quit pouring concrete in a minute haha
I would love to see some classic strains next season haze widow bubba etc 😊
How do you get your plants to stay so healthy in small pots are you topdressing or just watering things in ?I find it such a battle to keep them healthy once the leaves grow out past the edge of the pot
The episode I’ve been waiting for
when you chop the cover crop do you remove the straw first so it makes contact with the soil?
Another 🔥episode! Just started two 3x3 beds with 3.0. What number do you let the beds dry to with the ecowit sensors before you water? Thanks!
My next run will be my third in the Tray2Grow with the same soil. It gets better every time.
Hi there i have my first Run in the tray2grow i worked 3 Wick ropes in it ,No capilarmatt
what if 20gals have basically become worm bins ? 4th run now already even deep in the flower have fresh worm casting on top with little mulch layer on top. should i be chop n dropping more often ? more cover crop? deeper mulch layer?
Hey Jeremy I’m on my second round in my take and bake in a 3x3 and was hoping you could talk more about the different ways to apply the Big 6. You mentioned bottom watering with a tray that needs to be manually filled, can this be talked about more in the next Q and A? Is it acceptable to always have water in the tray?
Hello Jeremy my question is today what is the best unit to use to keep a grow tent at a steady comfortable growing environment for your plants
Is quillaja necessary in the earthbox reservoir or should I be saving it for beds/top watering?
When are the new blumats that’s are already dialed in going to be available to purchase? I’m looking forward to using them
Is a good idea to put grass clippings in the worm bin
Hey awesome show like always, I was wondering on those tray to grows, could u put 2 plants, like using the build a soil way would the soil volume be enough for 2 plants, thanks in advance
So I’ve heard that microbes don’t do well when they’re put through a pump sprayer, the reasoning I’ve heard for this is that the high pressure and quick water pressure change can kill most of the microbial life, from what I’ve heard some will live but most will die, curious if you’ve heard this and what your thoughts are on this
what else can is use if i dont have the mushroom straw??
Out of curiosity. My wife mistakenly planted mint and now it grows wild. Can I use that to make a veg fermented plant extract? We have a lot.
Light leaks? When is it a problem, how much non direct light from an outside source can the plant receive when the lights are off before they go stretchy.
💚💚
My Strawberry D-luxe exploded during stretch. Yours are going to be huge.
@Jeremy_Silva that would be awesome boss
Let's go
This way, you look like you have a crisp operation. Smooth :P. LOL. Keep up the great content :D. Have you thought about a standalone seed to harvest on an autoflower? Time lapses do great with autoflowers. You could even do half topped and the other natural to see the difference it would make. GML topping is superior to conventional topping. :P.

I've got tons of soil mites all over my pots and my tent, anything I can do to knock back their populations? I don't wanna track them through my house.
What is the smallest pot size the ecowitt sensor would be viable in?
Amazing content Jeremy
Yooooooooo Jeremy!!!!!!!!!!!! 😅
Can you guys test an Irrometer too for us now that we've seen the blumat in action
I over watered my 15 gallons what's the best way to try have them bounce back?
The build a flower smells crazy...if you know you know.
