That's the kind of dad every kid should be proud of
I agree with the overall message of your video and congrats on pushing through all of the obstacles! I do think it's good to be kind to yourself though. Our culture over emphasizes independence, and moving back to your parents while trying to kickstart your career is NOT something to be ashamed of. I understand not wanting to regress, but realistically having a support system through family is a powerful tool that not everyone has access to.
Absolutely, I'm so grateful that my parents offered to support me while searching for a job. Thanks for watching!
Going through the same thing and know many others who have as well, interned at great places but return offers were impacted (either waitlisted, rescinded, etc). In the long run, I’m sure it’ll all be fine and appreciate you sharing your story. Keep at it strong bro 👊
One of the best videos I have watched in a while man! Sometimes all we need is an attitude and mindset shift and to also know who we are and not try to live life from a place of desperation but from a place of optimism as you mentioned.
Keep up the Great Work bro!
So have a rich dad that can fund your lifestyle for half a year that’s the solution got it
ong, this just screams privilege... when your worst fear is having to life with your parents.
Finally, someone who didn't have it easy trying to get a job.
Very excited for your self-discovery. Building yourself up is one part but searching the yearnings of our soul another. You have been blessed with the most precious resource of them all: time. Traveling is an amazing way to find parts of yourself you never knew you even had. I can't wait to witness your journey!
This is such a heartfelt video, Aman. As a sophomore studying CS, I understand how hard it is to find a job these days. Thanks for sharing this. You've reminded me of a proverb I heard growing up, and one that I try to tell myself often: "whatever happens, happens for good!"
Some of the issues are that if you're too good you won't be accepted because that would come with higher pay, another is that often the people from HR do the hiring and don't know the intricacies of what the positions really needs. It's a hard world where things are unnecessarily difficult
Homiee i hope you are recover from the loss don't worry about anything we are all ways with you mateee ✨
Aman thank u for ur honesty !
It’s inspiring to hear.
Good video Aman, be kind to yourself homie! Excited to see some more videos going forward!
More to come!
What a perspective! I cant lie man this has been my worst nightmare. Even with my only internship I didn’t believe it until I was there and the same holds for the offer I accepted from them. I know I’m probably the least talented and least skilled applicant so it just doesn’t feel safe..
But your story is encouraging! Im gonna stop the superfluous worrying and start grinding for real!
this is really inspiring... congrats mate
Thank you!!
Glad I was able to play the small role I did in your journey :). Super proud of you man
holy shit, thanks for sharing you're story man! totally badass
Rejections from previous companies also lead me to way bigger chances. Since then I firmly believe in the quote „if one door closes, another one opens“.
Just like you I said „thank god I didn’t get that… or that…“ 🙏
As a dad of a 1 year old, I can appreciate how your dad was able to calm you down.
Thanks man. Got rejected by Kovair today and this video lifted my spirits a bit. I loved the "use your networks" tip. Looking forward to more such videos. Maybe do a day in the life of a software engineer video!
What a coincidence that i live in the same city you grew up in, I’m trying to get an internship at john deer for computer science what do you recommend?
If you're interested in working with me directly, check out my coaching program - www.amanmanazir.com/coaching - we can work together on landing that John Deere internship
