Simon Pegg really nailed his performance as Buck the Weasel. Hilarious and insane, but still super capable. He's my favorite character in the franchise by far.

As as far as gender bent love interest characters go, Scratte (the female squirrel) isn't actually the worst story-wise. Notice how during the "Alone Again (Naturally)" segment where the acorn "looks sad", it's the only time in the entire franchise (minor spoiler) where Scrat doesn't get hurt or in is in any sort of peril. Only when he was actually away from his acorn and with someone else did he feel truly happy. It's kind of a sad little detail (that's probably not intentional). So in other words, Scrat's relationship with the acorn was the toxic one. Also if you're curious as to what Rudy is supposed to be, he's an unnaturally gigantic albino baryonyx (similar to a spinosaurus but smaller and without the fin).

I guess you guys didn't get it. When the acorn gets washed ashore under the skeleton, it lands exactly where the heart would be and it cracks. That's symbolic Heartbreak.
The main thing I love so much about the entire franchise is, everyone is so nonchalant about someone else dying. Always "weeeeeelp... ohwell, Moving on".

Saw this in theaters when I was a kid with my dad and I don’t care this is the funniest movie out of the franchise 😂I mean the laughing gas scene was hilarious and still is.
Ellie's pregnancy was wonderful. Seven-year-old me got stuck on how traumatized I was when Ellie is giving birth to Peaches, sounding like it's too much for a family kids movie. I just couldn't see her in such pain like that. And now looking back on this film, she had a wonderful pregnancy overall, and that's a good thing. I would've played with her pregnant belly by tickling it, talking to unborn Peaches, pet/pat/rub it, sleep on it, kissed it, jumped/bounced on it, blew raspberries on it, everything. Ellie's still beautiful with or without it.
This was probably my favorite Ice Age movie. I am a big dinosaur person that I literally chose to see Jurassic World over Avengers: Age of Ultron. Also Buck was such a great addition to this movie too.
Best part about this movie is there was no liar reveal where the weasel turned out to have made up the story about fighting the big dino. Rudy licking the spot where their tooth used to be when they spotted Buck was awesome.
My big question with this movie is…how were the baby dino’s not scrambled to little strings by the whole chase scene? That's the biggest leap in logic in the entire film xd.

"They made this one scarier" Oh yeah, Rudy gave me straight up nightmares as a kid... This is the movie out of this franchise that I grew up with the most and it is my personal favourite, I think you can see why. I think the quality kinda drops off after this one but I think the next two movies are still worth checking out. They referenced Dante's Inferno when they introduced our one-eyed friend! "Abandon All Hope Ye Who Enter!" This means that our core group is Dante and our one-eyed friend is Virgil and they are descending into Hell to save Sid! ❤

The summer camp I went to only had this movie for some reason, so whenever the kids wanted to watch the movie it was all we had 😂 I know the script by heart I swear
This was the one Ice Age movie I owned on DVD as a kid, and I watched it a ton. It was also the first movie I owned that came with a digital copy, which is still on my iTunes account to this day. But it's been like nearly 13+ years since I watched it. We're talking pre-puberty times, man. I remember nothing about this movie, but ever second of watching this video is reactivating the part of my brain that has the script damn near memorised. This has been a wild trip, I swear to god. Watching your reaction made me remember how my mum saw this in theatres with my little brother, but I didn't go with them. And I remember how she came home from watching it and told me how much she cracked up laughing over the helium gas scene. It was like it was the funniest shit she'd ever seen. And for the next six months I had this fuzzy idea in my head of how she described the scene to me, until the movie eventually released on DVD and I was able to see it for myself. Thank you for gifting me this trip down memory lane. Because it very well could've been another 13 years until I rewatched this movie. Crazy.

No, Diego's species was designed to take down plant eaters bigger than themselves, not to chase and outrun deer and/or gazelle.
But they had packs (in the franchise at least). And he lost his pack. So he is forced to go for prey he can take down solo.

Buck was a great addition, was a shame he didn't join the herd. They did do a spin off a long time later, but it was not great.
