I would have to disagree and say all the cons you mentioned were taken from your poor planning and lack of overlanding experience. People should be aware of their equipment and personal limitations before attempting remote offgrid camping.
To say all the cons I mentioned are invalid is a broad stroke assumption on your part and makes you look like an idiot. All of my cons are based on EXPERIENCE through trial and error; not speculation. Further, any awareness of your personal limitations and equipment is achieved through experience - not from (judging from your YT channel), video games or some other sort of childish endeavor. Check out the poem The Man in the Arena. Maybe something will click 🥔
You have an opinion, as does the fella that said he disagreed with you. Calling that person an idiot, when he makes valid points, makes you an idiot. Having a YT channel and putting yourself out there, means that people will like and dislike or agree and disagree with you. I have two prosthetic legs and it doesn't stop me from from overlanding. Yes, an RTT is no good for me, but a small squaredrop overlander works for my wife and I. We do have some set-up and some outer awning spaces as the squaredrop isn't large enough BUT, the small trailer allows us to get to more places and for longer as we can carry more water, and food. Our strata rules for our condo do not allow for RV parking, so the small trailer fits in our garage, there are so many reasons I could give for why it works for us, maybe you have a different perspective, but that is fine. Our old trailer wouldn't have lasted five minutes on the trails we drive on in BC. As for the thievies? That happens regardless of the type of trailer you have, seemingly more often in the US.@@the_pointy_end
@@the_pointy_end Did you get but hurt??? You know slamming possible followers is not good. Especially for a prick who is probably a cop by the attitude... Two I'd never let you wheel with me because your way too green
Man thanks for sharing! I almost made a major financial mistake if I didn't watch this video. Although trailers could benefit some people, I don't think it would work for my circumstance. Great information provided!
Had me laughing..."In the middle of the night when nature calls, are you gonna want to be climbing down a thin ladder." Being an old guy, that's a huge part of why I knew I'd never go with a rooftop tent. As for my consolidated vehicle guess, I'm gonna go with a GX460 - even lifted on 33's it will get ~15MPG, be comfortable when riding miles of highways, but it shares the 4Runner ladder frame and is plenty capable for everyday 4WD trails. 👊
Hey, hopping down that ladder in the middle of the night is no fun! Also, sleeping is such a small part of overlanding / off roading / camping… just stay dry and warm and all is good.

Thanks for the comment! I’ll have some more overland content hopefully in the near future!
Thanks for sharing. I am so glad I watched your video. I am NOT getting a trailer for my 392 lol
Of course! Haha you have a 392!? Dang. Color me jealous. Awesome man.
Yes! Starting the off-road content with a banger! Definitely agree with the KISS mentality.
As for car consolidation 🤔 Land Cruiser?
Hahah thanks bro! Thinking G63 AMG. We shall see 😬😬
