@@HometownAngler lol My son saw them on in-depth outdoors and got me one for Christmas. Going after Walleye with it this weekend so I’m pumped to try it out. Watched a couple other videos and not good as far as how to set it up and what to do. Great video you did. I sent it to a few of my clients that just bought some so they see how to get it set up. Good luck on the hardwater 👊🏼
How do you guys get your bobber stop to not slip up and down the line? I’ve tightened mine as hard as I can and it still slides up on down on the line causing the device to not trip. Ive even tried a bead between the trigger and the stop
Great video! Just bought one and it didn’t even come with instructions. My question is once you have your bobber stop adjusted to the preferred depth and you get a bite, do you just continue to reel in the bobber-stop into your reel spool?
A few scenarios could happen. 1 it sets the hook. 2 it pulls the rod into the hole. 3 the fish gets off. I actually did that once then caught the Perch that stole my minnow lol. It's designed to pull line and then you set the hook. It could work but I wouldn't lol. At that point get an actual rod holder
Please comment and let me know if you liked this demonstration and if there is any questions you have on the set up.
I can't belive it's that easy thanks for explaining
You might be able to do it too!
When are the ice jigs going out?
Awesome video man! Thanks
Great video bud I just got one from my son for Christmas. Looking forward to using it 👍🏼
If you like finicky gadgets that are over complicated like I do you'll like this

Thanks for the comment. Yes just reel it right up into the spool
@@HometownAngler thanks and will do!
Try putting a boober stop before and after the trigger
Thanks for the advice
I have one and am having problems with the hole freezing over. I switched back to the traditional tip up bc the i fish pro seems to be no good
The hole freezes up relatively fast
Perfect video. I just bought one and the instructions are shit on em. So this was great. Thanks lad
I appreciate it. I really like doing these how to videos.
Any nice fish through the ice yet?
How are you setting up for deep water?
Same way. You just need to set it deeper
You use the rubber bobber stops and not the string ones?..
That's what I used for the demonstration but you could use any
Does the hole freeze if it really cold?
if realy cold it will start to get iced up but go buy a foam piece or make one and cut it to fit under the unit it will take longer to ice up
If it is cold enough it will!
if you keep the line bail closed it would automatically set the hook?

was debating on getting that but i went with BD tip ups
How you been Sarge? They're a really cool unit. But I kind of like over complicated gadgets.
@@HometownAngler caught 1 pike yesterday. First ever pike on ice and 2 today, but all small ones
@@HometownAngler learning yo ice fish. I said i wanst gonna do it but im jealous people catching fish lol
@@TheSargeOnTheWater very nice keep it up.
@@TheSargeOnTheWater from what I can tell a lot of peoples biggest pikes seem to come through the 🧊
Not a single positive from every video I watched. I’m going to probably return it.
I do prefer an old fashioned tip up myself
@@HometownAngler yes I returning my stuff
