Another Q and A type video where I pepper coach pienix with questions about how to play CT side Inferno on the A side of the map. Lots of great stuff in here!!
    ---
Ever since I started trying to get better at counter-strike, I’ve been intrigued by the idea of working with a coach. But I always felt like it wouldn’t be worth it for a lower skilled player like myself. Like won’t I just get better if I play more? Isn’t it kind of embarrassing to spend money on something I actively suck at? I’m not sure why exactly I’ve made these judgments. After all, hiring a coach or tutor is an accepted practice for novices in all sorts of hobbies and activities - so why not competitive video games? After waffling for a bit, I decided it would be easier to justify this to myself by making content out of it, so here we are.

This is incredible knowledge from the coach, thanks for sharing! I would love a B site CT/T vid and an A site T video now with how beneficial this one side on CT was for my understanding of the map. Subbed hoping for more :)

Inferno is my favorite map because it's so util heavy. As Pienix did, mid aggression on Inferno is so powerful. I recently tired the new Faze mid smoke and it's OP (maybe for now only). Inferno IMO is heavily based on timings and proper utility usage is the key to winning. I feel naked without nades on inferno. I leaned how to play inferno through TY and grinding, but this condensed per position "how to play" series is honestly really a good resource for new players.

This is honestly golden info. I’ve never attempted that mid push he did and that is a really nice push there. Learned some things for sure. Appreciate you posting!

The new close cubby is very strong to play right now. Everyone still peeks porch. There are also a bunch of good popflashes to throw from that position, and you can use the auto shotty and smoke to scout most of mid and prevent A executes.

Thank you so much for sharing these vods.
I am 1.2k hours, 10 year veteran coin player. These vods have been elucidating me on all my gaps in skill and knowledge (there can be so many gaps). As such, these vods are invaluable and a gem for the cs community.

what i would do on a is varied gameplay. sometimes challenge mid, sometime second mid, sometime push aps etc.

this video made me realize how bad my positioning there really is
for my level at least all the CT players on A always push or hold middle directly, and never really play "behind" where you've shown here
maybe that's because the preconceived notion everyone has is to not let anyone come close to the site at all and because of that not contesting with the angles that the CTs should really prefer
all the pit plays or in a site never really happen cause at that point all the gunfights were already taken and there's no CT on A left

its funny in NA i dont think anyone ever calls out the Arch/ connector callout and means a player is halfway to CT, its always a reference to long

after watching the pro games i gotta say CT needs to get deep mid and app control, its not the stay top of mid meta of csgo. Faze have some good smokes to learn for how to play it.... the reason you go for it is because you get a 5vx as CT, usually a man up even in the 5v5 and on your terms. something else is i saw a lot less of the old default/tall box being played, its pretty wallbangable, i only saw it being played with Pistols by Navi and Faze might've played it once with a real buy
